Griffon Newsletter 40 - 03/28/03

To start off the Spring Festival and to cement the Griffon's respect of Eesha (and all the Gods and Goddesses) Mer Artaro and Mes Dimitra Nesharen are planning their wedding to coincide with the opening of the Spring Festival, perfect timing. All who can conduct themselves properly are invited to attend. Friday, April 4th 8pm EST, bring presents!

Word carries that the wedding of Lady Lucretia Elianik to the (no he's not dead) infamous Judanarius Corinala is to take place at the Corinala Estate on <RL Date 18th April at 7pm EST (Friday)>. Nobles and worthies of all clans, and all Chimerans and Griffons can expect to be invited or allowed in, those from other clans will depend on how often they bathe and whether they can carry themselves properly in polite company. Another Griffon wedding to close the Spring Festival, how romantic.

A rescue attempt was mounted to save those captured in these last few harrowing weeks and our own Mes Nicolette was involved getting injured in the process. To make matters worse, Jazayeri, yes that heroic girl who won us our gold medal! She was captured on the same rescue attempt.

A reminder that the clan hunting party is April 3rd (Thursday) at 7pm EST. Everyone is encouraged to attend. (@bb/read 32/15)

Mes Dimitra has been heard searching out Matchmakers, "I thought she was already getting married?" Not for her, seems she wants everyone else to be as happy and so she's been talking about learning the trade and making sure the Griffons are supporting Lord Judanarius with making happy and healthy families.

I saw the funniest sight the other day, looked like Dame Latta riding down the street on an oxen. But since she had a new baby bird, a Kestrel...maybe it was something to do with being an Uffian initiate, you know how they are. Well, you just be sure to congratulate her next time you see her...she's pretty deserving of it, crazy or not.

New Griffons -

I couldn't believe my eyes, d'ya know who I saw at Lord Erythes funeral? WHy Mes Fannisha, you know...the Unot initiate who was captured during the air raids of 24 A.U. I ain't heard the full story, I hate to admit, it's got to be nice an juicy...but it looks like she musta slipped free when them goats were distracted. Good timing, and goes to show that us Griffons are on the ball, seeing how she is a Griffon and she escaped all by herself.

Just what we need, an athlete running around town, especially with the spring festival coming up. Hey, you never know, maybe Mes Bahsettra will win the pent and be claiming herself a husband.

There's said to be a new Griffon in town, although nobody really knows for sure. However, there are rumors that among the new arrivals in Anarinuell - the escaped slaves from Ellish that caused quite a stir when they first showed up - there's a young woman going by the name of Sennet. And, given the fact that she turned up in the marketplace in the middle of winter wearing the sort of thing that you wouldn't normally see outside of the Dove - well, she may prove to be just as troublesome with men as that other Sennet girl, Brinna, was! She hasn't even been into the Griffon District yet, although she did seem very excited to be out of Ellish and in the city.

Another entertainer, Mer Tobias is known for a great many things...I'd just be watching my purse around him if you know what I mean. He's a bit fast with his hands and he has got a story or ten to share. Though, make sure you ask him about his sword trick.

Mer Stefan, or should I say, Sentry Lapis. Seems our moralistic Griffon has turned to the sword, a true Griffon man at that, and proud to the tips of his hair to be one.

Praise & Disses

Praise - Lady Ranazeel has worked tirelessly and effectively to keep the clan wants and needs under control. Lord Judanarius reminds everyone that she is deserving of our good word in lieu of thanks.

Diss - Sett Aurik has shown time and time again that he is not even worth the dirt under our feet as a clan, please remind him of our displeasure of his actions.

New Commands! -

I'll be trying to share commands that I find helpful. I am not the best at using commands, so if you come across any that you find useful @mail me and I'll get it in a future newsletter.

'help @social/nominate'

This command allows players to put in a nomination for someone they think deserves a social point bonus or hit. The request will then be evaluated by staff, and an appropriate adjustment made.

Groupall is back!

'help groupall' for all the nifty syntax and uses.
