Treason trial of Selene - The Princess Selene Elianik was recently found guilty of treason against the Alliance and violating the rules of the embargo by donating funds to a Hydran charity. The punishment should of course for any normal person, be exile at least, usually death in recent times. However the Princess' sentence will be commuted and the charges stricken from the record.. (*cough*).. if she firstly makes a public pledge to support the Alliance and secondly, convince the Hydran clan to rejoin the alliance. This will prove to be interesting.

Well it appears that Lady Throgana is getting married finally .. to a Mer Alessandro Garkansen.. (yes that name does sound familiar - seems to be getting rather prominent as well!). He's military of course, a pilot at the rank of Centurion, it's all rather quiet though, is this just a sudden move, or do the couple just not want any fuss as they appear not to?

There was some problem it seems with a shortage of Ale in the city, although some of the guards seem to have found it alright, maybe it was just that no one wanted drunk, belligerent gangers round the city, I mean belligerent gangers on their own are bad enough! ;)

News from the Clan

Trading has begun for the new season, we are now up on flax, cotton and iron wood axes, but are still in need of poultry, iron ingots, wool cloth, fish fillets and wood to meet our needs. The clan is also still wanting for Animal fat, mead, pears, carrots, oats copper ore, flint, lettuce, opals and feathers. If anyone can help in acquisition of these for the clan please do contact one of the Ministerial staff (mentioned last week)

The clan leader has requested that all members of the clan learn at least some basic defence over the winter. This includes women as well as men as the clan prides itself on equality unlike some of the other clans we could mention

• cough*Dringles*cough* :) Anyone that has problems trying to find someone to

teach them the skills they wish to learn can always place an ad or contact the Head of security for the clan (see last week's newsletter ..see ..I'm already testing you to see if you actually read it ;)

Meanwhile the murder of Lady Eve still remains unsolved and all seems quiet on that front. What will happen there remains to be seen, will the killer ever be caught?

Business propositions

Pakeera - Mes Pakeera from the old city would like to make it known that her services as an apothecary are available to those who need them. For all your everyday (and maybe even special..) apothecary needs, just send her a messenger..

Gadrik - award winning artist (really ..at the last festival!) would like to make it known that he is available for commissions. So anything you want to have set in more than memory for you, just let him know!

Parties/Events

Anala's party. There is going to be a party held by Mes Anala Istariniad at the Memory of Ellish Tavern. It's said just to be a little party and get together, but there are all sorts of rumours flying around as to what it is actually for and what is going to go on there. Well you'll just have to show up there to find out for yourself I guess, wont you.. The time to be there, is November 24th, 4pm EST (OOC of course).

First call for a Griffon Winter party, Nicolette Marcello is going to be holding a winter party. A call has gone out for entertainers, music, singing and anyone that can do amusing things like juggle as well would be most welcome. There will be competitions, such as a snowman building competition (so get out there and get practising ..oh ..breaking news ..now another one of those has pitched up..oh well lets see if we can do better than the Eagles eh?), snowball target practice (that one we would prefer you didn't practice toooo much - especially around pregnant women .. ;) and even something that may involve sliding ..that's only a rumour though :) Also going to be at the memory of Ellish Tavern (what with that, the other party and a couple of wedding receptions ..this is getting to be quite a popular venue for a tavern that isn't actually open ;) HintJudehint), or rather in the street outside and wonderful warming food and drinks will be served inside. The exact date for this is not known yet but should be posted in the next couple of days. So you'll have time to develop your snowman building skills (no lewd ones in the event please, this is for kids too (and no this isn't a copy of the Cockatrice Winterfest that's recently appeared, I've been thinking about it for ages my fault for not organising it sooner ..but as it requires a good about of snow for the events it was a bit hard to set up with just rain and cold winds around ;)
