Official Statement
Look, as my father's heir, it is my sacred duty to find his murderer and avenge him. I have received permission from Priest Tatomir to take an official statement from each of you before we leave, so by the authority of Obala, I want your name and everything you know about my father's death. And I will start with you, Puria. Everyone knows that when we conquered Anarinuell, you tried to hide your sons in a rug, all rolled up. When you realized it was hopeless, you smothered them to death rather than let them become slaves. Look at the way my father died? It was as if someone was trying to send a message, the way he was rolled up in that rug. What do you have to say for yourself?
Background
As far as Hashi goes, he's a classic underachiever. He's got a few slaves, but nobody that's really productive to work the land. He's a good raider, when he wants to rape and pillage. But sometimes, Hashi's just not in the mood. Plus, most of his slaves are pretty females, so he doesn't really have enough strong men to work his wife Fissia's land, and they're pretty poor as a result.
Relationships
- Fissia -- Hashi's difficult wife.
- Scithvor -- Fissia's ex-husband. Seriously, he can have her back.
- Spike -- Hashi's dog, which has taken a like to Fissia and obeys only her.
- Gilin and Yvette -- Hashi's brothel slaves.
- Aylina -- Aylina is also one of Hashi's brothel slaves, but she can also cook.
- Savaren -- Hashi's pet slave prince.
Goals
- Hashi should find out who murdered his father and avenge his father's death.
- Hashi should "prove" that none of Hralib's slaves killed him, otherwise they'll all be executed and he'll be out a lot of expensive property.
- Hashi should get Priest Tatomir to announce that Hralib died without a will, and therefore, his belongings go to Hashi, his only living son.
- Hashi should humiliate his 'pet prince' Savaren and keep him in line.
- Hashi should make sure his brothel slaves are bringing in some good money for him.
- Hashi thinks Tabitha would make a great new wife with lots of land for all the new slaves he's going to inherit to farm--he should find a way to talk to her alone and ensure that if he made a challenge for her hand, she would choose something easy that he could win.
- Hashi should find a worthy new husband for his wife Fissia. He's tired of her.

Hashi Round One
Round One Reveal
It's not Hashi's fault that he's the heir to his father's fortune. Hashi's little brother, Hralib's favorite, disappeared shortly after they settled in Anarinuell. The boy was not even old enough for the gauntlet, and now that he's presumed dead...
Hashi's family is just prone to tragedy. It can't be helped.
Everyone knows that Lainath challenged Hralib to battle several times for the hand of his step-daughter, Tabitha. Each time, Lainath was defeated, though narrowly. He might have given up trying to beat Hralib fairly, and murdered him instead.
Lainath's slave girl, Akiva, is fully literate in Shamibelian and can mimic people's signatures. He would not be surprised if she forged a few permits in her day. Likely, she could get anywhere in the city without being stopped.
Hralib suspected Akiva, of being a permit forger. Lainath is uber-sensitive about his reputation, and never wants to look soft on his slaves. Might he have killed Hralib to spare himself the humiliation of having that revealed?
Savanna sold Hralib a unique and amazing set of armor, but he wasn't wearing it when he was found and it's missing from his things. Perhaps she stole it back from him after she killed him.
Everyone knows that Savanna works with a forge, day in and day out. If anyone were going to shove ashes into Hralib's mouth, it'd have been her.
Everyone knows Yvette's famous "trick" in bed involves using ropes. The knots used to tie Hralib into that rug look eerily similar to the ones that Yvette knows how to tie.
Round One Conceal
Hashi's pretty relieved that the old man kicked the bucket. He didn't have enough slaves to work Fissia's land, is sick of her nagging, and stands to inherit a fortune. Best of all, it looks like his father kicked it without having the chance to disinherit him.
Akiva has been running a very lucrative underground permit forgery operation. If Hralib was about to uncover it, Akiva would have had to kill him to save her own life. Hashi thinks he can blackmail her with this knowledge to keep her from revealing any information she has on him.
Fara is a full-blooded Shamibelian female who ended up enslaved because she annoyed her mother, Pevifa. When Pevifa refused to give her land, on her fourteenth birthday, she ended up on the auction block. This is very unseemly in Shamibelian culture, and Hashi doesn't approve.
If Fara were to get pregnant by a full-blooded Shamibelian male, her case for freedom would be strengthened. Her master, Scithvor doesn't want that to happen, so he doesn't sleep with her himself. And of course, it'd be cause for bloodshed if another man touched one of Scithvor's slaves.
Round One Props
- A skull-of-Rislan cup
- Spear
Hashi Round Two
Round Two Reveal
Hashi knows that Aylina's a great little whore--she's a biter!
Aylina was bitterly angry every time she saw Hralib wearing his armor. It had something to do with her dead husband, Udettos, but Hashi never pays any attention to that kind of thing so he isn't sure.
Aylina has ash on the bottoms of her slippers.
Aylina returned to Hashi's tents carrying a large bundle, which she buried but Aylina couldn't have murdered Hralib--she was too calm. The night of Obala's Pride, she even woke up and had herself a snack that she called finger-licking-good.
Hashi's dog Spike is devoted only to Fissia and that she has trained it to kill on command. It could have left the scratch mark on Hralib's body and bitten off his finger.
Fissia brought that stupid dog Spike to the Night of Obala's Pride and it attacked Fara.
Fissia showed up to the Night of Obala's Pride wearing a costume that matched the dog, Spike, and was carrying him around the party. At first it just seemed gauche, but it bothered Hralib. He muttered angrily, "And Obala said, let the men be keepers of the living, and the women be keepers of things . . ." He said that he was going to make Hashi take the dog away from her. She's so devoted to that animal, she'd have killed Hralib to stop that from happening.
Fissia threatens slaves by telling them that if they don't obey, she'll cut off their fingers and feed them to Spike.
Gilin has a special talent for stealing just about anything--maybe even firebombs.
Gilin has a monkey-like ability to get in and out of tight spaces, sneak up on people, etcetera. She could have easily snuck upon Hralib and killed him before he even knew she was there.
Whenever Hralib purchased a night with Yvette, he would make her perform her "special trick" and she would always return in tears, bitter and murderous. She hated Hralib and wished him dead.
Yvette has been crying and upset all day. Is it guilt?
Round Two Conceal
Hralib told Hashi that if he didn't start achieving, he would make a Last Will and disinherit him. So Hashi decided it was best if he took matters into his own hands. He had Akiva help forge him a Last Will and Testament that he'll have Tatomir announce as the real thing. And then he'll get everything.
Fissia makes earrings in her spare time, to supplement their meager income and support her lands. Hashi doesn't like to admit that though. It hurts his pride. But he's pretty sure that the earrings that ended up in his father's pocket were ones that Fissia made.
At Hashi's request, Aylina has been known to put a potion or two, or special herb into her cooking.
Hashi's little brother was in love with his slave girl, Aylina. In fact, Aylina was the last person to see him alive. Hashi has always worried that Aylina might be a little 'too' loyal to him, and might be getting rid of his rivals.
Hashi knows that Spike bit Fara, because he was with Fara, alone, at the time. Damned dog interrupted everything!
Fara did not return right home after the Night of Obala's Pride, because she snuck off with Hashi. It's really against Shamibelian law to interfere with the slave of another man, but it was the Night of Obala's Pride, and Fara was wearing a mask. Hashi can claim plausible deniability.
Round Two Props
- Forged Will of Hralib
Round Two Additional Goals
- Stop slaves and demand to see their permits--it keeps them in line
- Convince Tatomir that the forged will is genuine
Hashi Round Three
Round Three Reveal
After Spike bit Fara, Hashi decided to chase the dog down and kill it once and for all. He chased the dog all the way into the Temple District. That's when he saw Pevifa with a shovel, under the Great Marble Arch on her plantation--the very spot where Hralib later turned up dead. A Shamibelian woman with a shovel? That's beyond suspicious. Was she laying in wait for him? Did she knock him out, then tie him up so that it would be easier for her to kill a strong warrior like Hralib?
Round Three Conceal
Round Three Props
Round Three Additional Goals
- Kill the damn dog.
