Overview
Since the inception of the Clan Council, there has been an Honorary Clan Council Leader who presides over meetings and is considered first amongst equals. Even so, the Honorary Clan Council Leader has tremendous power and responsibility.
The Honorary Clan Council Leader is the holder of the Staff of the High Priest/Priestess and is, therefore, the High Priest or Priestess of the Firan Realms. As such, they lead both the Clan Council and the Religious Council, and serve as a major governmental figurehead, with secular and spiritual authority.
Duties
IC Duties
The Honorary Clan Council Leader is responsible for:
- Scheduling all Clan Council Meetings & Religious Council Meetings
- Setting an Agenda for all Clan Council & Religious Council Meetings
- Running an Orderly and Efficient Clan Council Meeting
- Enforcing the Rules of the Clan Council within the Council Chambers
- Setting the order of the votes
- Calling matters to vote
- Announcing all public decisions of the Clan Council to the People
- Summarizing the business of the Clan Council for the people
- Protesting Firan Religious Values
- Overseeing Festivals and Holidays for the Gods
- Ensuring the Observance of All Public Holidays
- Performing High Profile Religious Ceremonies
OOC Duties
The player who holds the staff is responsible for the following:
- Posting an Agenda for each meeting
- Logging Each Clan Council Meeting
- Posting the Logs to the Clan Council Logs page
- Maintaining the wiki pages for the Clan Council Agenda
- Maintaining the wiki pages for the Announcements of the Clan Council
- Maintaining the wiki pages for the Clan Council as a whole
Privileges
- You get a neat staff.
- You get to yell at people.
- Your issues will always make it onto the agenda.
Past and Present Honorary Clan Council Leaders
The position has been held by Clan Leader Corista of the Griffon Clan, Clan Leader Firgalas of the Gold Dragon Clan, Clan Leader Sabine of the Bear Clan, and Clan Leader Inaya of the Chimera Clan, in that order.
Clan Leader Fidelia of the Bear Clan is the current High Priestess of the Firan Realms and Honorary Clan Council Leader.
