Payudos' Hydran Poop

VOLUME XII - January 13, 2002

The Annual Spring Festival has begun, and once again the Hydras are a part of it! Shortly before the massive caravan of Arinzian citizens set out on the several-days journey to the capital that was previously home to many of them, they held a bit of a celebration of their own, in honour of the future clan leader and Belik's heir, Lord Amenik. The little Lord received much praise and many gifts from his subjects, but he was not the only one to be rewarded that evening.

His Honour Belik gave a mine to Mer Vorfus for his service to the clan, several tracts of land to Mer Ameer, travel expenses for anyone wishing to go to the Festival in Anarinuell that could not afford it on their own, and the night culminated in the restoration of the N'gadanik family to their position among the nobility. The Hydras present rejoiced in their rewards after the terrible winter they suffered through, and set out on the journey to Anarinuell with a new hope for the future in their hearts.

Since the Festival has begun, the Hydras have made quite a good showing in a variety of events. While Lord Payudos was bested almost immediately in a game of tug-of-war by one of the strong-armed daughters of Throg, his wife Lady Hattie performed admirably in the egg-toss competition. In other events, Mer Ameer got the second-best attempt in the hammer game -- 11.5 feet, Lord Tezer had an excellent early javelin throw of 217 feet, and the loyal Mer Vespasian made a brave showing. All citizens of Arinzi are encouraged to show pride in their clans and their city, and compete in (and preferably win) as many events as possible!

One last note: the newly noble N'gadanik family is in search of Hydra sponsorees. If you'd like to become a loyal sla... Err, sponsoree to either Lord Payudos, Lady Hattie, or the governor Quadeem just send a message and they will get back to you regarding such an opportunity as soon as they are able.
