Payudos' Hydran Poop
VOLUME XIII - January 21, 2002
The Annual Spring Festival is almost concluded, with many winning events claimed by the Hydras! One such event caused the creation of a new Hydra anthem, 'The Strength of Hydra' (song/list strength of hydra), when Lady Hattie won a song-writing contest.
Another great happening involved raising over 300k stenis for a donation to the Firan Republic Military at the Weaver's Competition Basket Auction. Donations of baskets were made by Mes Leena, Mes Alee, and many others, while the 'secret mysteries' in each bag and basket sold were donated by Lady Hattie and Lord Payudos N'gadanik.
Governor Quadeem took over for Lady Senika after she had pressing business to attend to at the last minute, helping Mer Vespasian run a relatively popular log-tossing event. The Arinzian passtime seems to have been a hit in Anarinuell; perhaps next year the competition will be seen again! Speaking of competition, His Honour Belik has called upon all non-noble men of the Hydra clan to take up arms against the Shamibelians in the war season, once again along with the Firan Republic Military. In order to do this, men are encouraged to speak to either General Zayes or General Agarn for seasonal enlistment.
Also, amidst the pagan's raucous singing to the false 'goddess' Eesha, many Hydras spoke quieter but equally heartfelt pledges of love and marriage. This was, in part, encouraged by His Honour's mandate that all young singles of the clan be wed by their 20th birthday, or face a stiff fine for noncompliance.
One of these couples were Mer Mateen and Mes Leena, who, it is purported, will be staying in Anarinuell after their matrimony, leaving the Mageeran family behind in Arinzi. The other was a little more unexpected than the first.
But, When Mer Eejus Emarinsari met Mes Britania Meric, the signs of a true match were plain enough to be seen all the way from Arinzi. Since Eejus' brother Mer Sarus was indeed in Arinzi, Mes Alee Mageeran chaperoned the couple until his return to the festival. Just to ensure he would not the last to hear the good news, Mer Sarus missed no chance to say Lady Senika had given her blessing to the couple, and that they would be wedded before the end of summer.
