Brit's Hydra Poop

(14th Edition 5/20/02)

Nothing but Sun! Sun! Sun!

Our Olympians...got sixth in the Tug-of-War! Yey! Go Hydra! <insert cheerleader kicks here> Also, a sixth-place finish in the Thrown Weapons battle. Sixth seems to be a Blessing (Curse?) upon us as Mes Serra tied for sixth in the Race. But hey! We got fourth in the Relay, fourth in the Archery Contest! We took fourth in the Long Jump, fifth in the Tug-o-War, fourth in the Wrestling contest. Overall, our Olympians took eighth in the Olympics. Way to go, guys!

Fire! The Istariniad Manor (which was once in the Hydra District, now in ruins) was burnt to the ground by an angry mob who revolted at the mention of twins (*ducks!*). Our men fought side-by-side with the others of the republic, dodging stampeding cows and quenching the flames, as well as protecting their backs from angry people. To all that helped, let me just say, no doubt, many in our district owe our lives to you. Thank you!

Seems we've got another Mono in our midsts. Princess Selene, related to Belik, seems to have been converted over to the True Ways.

Old? Naw, just Experienced!

  • Karin turned 25 on the 9th of May!
  • Belik! Again! Yes, he's old, we all know this. Officially hitting 70 on May 15th, this man is certainly the oldest around.
  • Javier, the bestest priesty in the realm *cough* turned 27 years old on May 18th
  • Everyone's favorite Rodellos turned 27 on May 22nd!

Wanted! Dead or Alive!

  • Rodellos needs ERP! And lots of it!
  • Piarres is looking for armor, arrows, a bow, and some people to go hunting with. He's also still in the market for a wife for himself! *points AGAIN at Ofilia*

Diss Way and Dat

  • Quonasi! He's an evil, horrible man, who wouldn't let us switch out our competitors before our turn, even though he let the Griffons (Whom, I might add, clubbed him) enter an hour late! Good Zutiv! What's wrong with these Pagans?
  • Viklon, also, was an extreme punk during the triathalon, swaggering around all smuglike. Diss him off his rocker, people, and show where the respect /really/ belongs!
  • As for praises? Belik Belik Belik! He's ooooooolllllldddddd, people!

The Sports Report:

Bamik, our once-upon-a-time-Hydra, threw a tizzy fit at the Olympics...and his club. At Quonasi's ... better parts. Good aim, that man has, but in effect, has gotten the Griffons banned from playing any more of the Olympic Games. He's been punted out of the Griffon Clan, never to step foot on Griffon territory again.

Word travels round that Lord Orikos Didoron (egads, not them again!) insulted Clan Leader Taria and was tossed into jail for insubordination. Hmm. Pagans.

Well, twins, yes, have been in the spotlight lately, but recently, moreso the marriage between Lady Yasha Iberik and Lord Sabinus Rissik has come to attention. The Hydra clan (NPC population) believes this marriage is right and is sanctioned by Zutiv, but many do not share the belief. There are whisperings that Lady Yasha may become just another Bear pincushion.

A fire in the Griffon district burned like mad this past week. Though, many are unsure why it was started. Was it another set of twins? Or just lasting vengence because of the Istariniads?

This One Takes the (Wedding) Cake

  • Sir Tatus Marcello and Judge Pomponia Marcello were married this week...or remarried, I should say.
  • Maya Junik and Kemet Manosik are to be married under Zutiv! No details as to when, yet, but it'll happen.
  • Lord Pangaros and Priestess Isa were married this week.
  • Lady Yasha and Lord Sabinus were married also.

Dearly Departed

  • Lady Lotis passed on this past week, reportedly because of birthing problems. An outpouring of people have gone to the temple to give prayers and thanks for her kind, wonderful services for the people. May she rest in peace.

Oh Baby!

  • Lotuk, named for his mother, Lady Lotis, was born this week, thus taking the place of Lady Lotis's.
  • Jenette Tanelish gave birth to a baby boy, naming him Ranselis.
