Hydra Newsletter 067 - 09/28/03
From FiranMUX
THE ARINZI EXAMINER
The new year of 28 A.U. is upon us. Let us strive to make this a good year for the great Hydra Clan.
Apparantly there was some commotion recently on Lord Proxy Rodellos' land outside of Anarinuell. It seems that a group of Ticanee savages became enamored of a tree about to be taken down by some lumberjacks and tied themselves to it. After a few tense hours, the situation was resolved with a gift of two million steni to the Lord Proxy, given with the promise that he would see to the safety of said tree. Two million steni for a tree? And people think we are strange.
Lady Ibania of the Cockatrice clan is currently sojourning in our fair city, here on a visit to see to the health and well being of His Honor Belik, and will be her for some time more. She brings with her several retainers, Barson Eesani and Barasa, as well as her children Diamia, Banian, and Aeryk. If you see her about town, remember to bow your head and speak politely; after all, her father is one of the Seven Heroes.
Scandal in Anarinuell! Mes Aurora (formerly) Keniwik has been branded a harlot by the True Temple for her depiction of Lord Proxy Rivaren Manosik of the Gold Dragon clan in a most unseemly light! Apparantly the statue she made for the All Clans Craft Fair was found by many to be offensive, along with her purchase of a Ticanee savage loincloth. This little harlot deserves scorn for not acting in a way fitting of a proper housewife and follower of Lord Zutiv Almighty.
Let us welcome Mer Eejus Emarinsari back to Arinzi after a prolonged absence. He is currently looking for a source of income, since there is little call for an athlete. If you can think of a way to help him out with his financial
situation, look him up and help him out. He also mentions that he is finally over the death of his wife Britania, and will soon begin searching for another partner.
Also returning is Mer Phaethon Zuriaki. At last, Hugo has some decent and worthy competition, not like those backroom carpenters that demean the trade by flooding the market with shoddy furniture. Send him some business if you need quality workmanship.
This is a busy month for birthdays in our Clan. If you see these people about the town, wish them a happy birthday and good tidings.
- Mer Eejus Emarinsari, 28
- Mes Nuri Emarinsari, 28
- Mer Benetto Rianavalu, 21
- Mes Yapra Rianavalu, 16
(This only includes those who are not on the roster.)
Praises this week should be given to our illustrious governor, Lord Quadeem N'Gadinik, who does a wonderful job of seeing to our needs here in Arinzi. It's a shame that he is seen to be so socially undesirable, being outranked by even some common folk, especially by that Leena woman, who spurned his son!! And let us diss Aurora, mentioned earlier. Her attitudes are that of a pagan woman who has no regard for propriety and shamelessly flaunts herself in society. (Praises and disses are used at your own IC discretion. If it is not IC for you to praise and diss these people, then by all mean don't.)
REMINDER: There is a HIDRA meeting this Thursday night in Arinzi, at the Community Center, 9 pm EST. All Heads of Household are encouraged to attend or send a male representative.
Have something you want reported to the newsletter? @mail, page or message Hugo before Sunday night, and we'll put it in.
