THE ARINZI EXAMINER

We begin the week on a sad note. Lady Osiana N'Gato just recently delivered a stillborn baby girl. The entire Hydra Clan grieves with her and Lord Katarus on their loss. The funeral for the baby girl will be forthcoming. In the meanwhile, show them all the support you can muster.

In other news, Lord Proxy Rodellos is proud to announce that the charity benefitting the Istabelik Academy is finally set up! In the words of the lord himself: "The Istabelik Academy is a teaching institution that funds educational initiatives and helps the Great Library of Arinzi with acquisitions and special seminars." So next time you have a few spare steni in hand, why not donate it to the Istabelik Academy, and help all the good people of Arinzi in the pursuit of knowledge.

The second HIDRA meeting was held at the Community Center in Arinzi this past month. In attendance were Lords Rodellos and Payudos, Father Javier of the True Temple, and mers Vespasian, Abderus, Sarus, and Hugannelli. Several diverse topics were discussed, from planning marriages the possibility of a Zutivian Holy Festival in the future.

AFter the festivities of the HIDRA meeting, the men all adjourned and attended the funeral of Yavernus Nesteroon, presided over by Father Javier. His soul is finally released unto Zutiv, and we hope that it will soon return to us. Goodbye, friend and hero.

Lady Ibania Istabannos and her entourage have finally left our city after spending quite some months here, seeing to the health of His Honor Belik. Don't know if they found out anything of interest, though, and the question on the common man's mind is still this: Where is Belik?!

Birthdays this past month:

  • Phaethon Zuriaki, 28
  • Opalina Jaldrish, 27
  • Darus, 30
  • Sarette, 9

If you see these people on the street, wish them the best for the next year.

With spring approaching, quite a good many Hydrans have returned to the big cities from the countryside. (ie, off the roster.) Give big welcomes to Dantana, Symeon, Petulos, Kasikonus, Wakiro, Darus, and Kalchus.

REMINDER: There are several charities that benefit the Hydra Clan. They are: The Istabelik Academy, the Arinzi Temple, the Arinzi Improvement Fund, and, indirectly, the Light of Zutiv. Donations to these charities not only improve the conditions of people and places in Arinzi, but also your own social status. (Sometimes, it depends on the roll.) <help donate> and <help charity> for more information.

REMINDER: With the beginning of the new year, the clan would like your help in filling its needs and wants. The more we do ourselves, the less money we need to send to other clans. <@clan/info hydra> to see the list of things the clan needs.

Praise you sponsor this week! With the recent change in the laws of the Republic, limiting sponsorees, those nobles who kept theirs deserve some thanks. For you nobles, go ahead and praise the regular gang of Belik, Rodellos, Ameer, and Quadeem. DO NOT DISS a noble who dropped your sponsorship, however. It shows weak character and personality, and it may make other nobles think twice about picking you up. (Praises and Disses are used at your own IC discretion.)

If there is anything you'd like to see in the Newsletter, page, message, or @mail it to Hugo before Sunday night. Sorry it took so long this time. I fell ill this weekend and didn't feel at all like getting on the computer. :/
