The Hydran Herald
IC Gossip
All Hydran families possessing one or more horses are ordered to donate at least one horse to the Dragon currently living in the Chimera district. In return for this offer, Lord Proxy Yaffros has offered 50,000 stenis for every horse donated, and Lord Proxy Katarus has offered the horse's owner a tax refund out of his own pockets, with more refunds being given to other members of the family if more horses are donated. Also, anyone donating a horse will be eligible for a land raffle. The Dragon is a very large, ferocious creature, but beloved by Zutiv, with a terrible appetite. He requires to eat 4 horses per IC day, that is 16 per RL day. And just in case he'll be running out of horses freely given, the dragon has been going out to sniff out the various places in the city where horses can be found.
Centurion Seriss Istabelik quietly had his CoS early in the month December. He's chosen to be a soldier and is to be training to serve as Amenik's body guard in light of Kasikonus' passing. There ARE rumours that his engagement with Aleria is being finalized and that there is a wedding in the near future for the young Hydrans.
Mes Uelania Mageeran has given birth to the newest boy in the Mageeran line, Delen Mageeran. Both mother and son, and father Vadeem as well, are in good health.
Scandal: Father Rasmus of the True Temple has been accused by a very high ranking member of the Republic of embezzling from the True Temple charity to funnel funds to Sett Aurik's recent mob related activities as part of a possible plot to overthrow Clan Leader Jalil Firgalik. In addition, he has been further accused of salacious and disgusting acts of molestation and harassment involving girls that go to him for confession in the True Temple. The priest has been put under arrest, and the Gold Dragons are investigating this matter. Any girl brave enough to come forward with her story will be rewarded financially by the Gold Dragon clan.
As a result of the scandal surrounding Father Rasmus, the joined Ceremony of Souls for Lady Luna Corinala and Lord Judanus Firgaik has been postponed.
In Honour of Ranivor Elianos 63'th birthday a grand combat in his honour will be held in the Royal Amphitheatre at Thursday 16 September, 9:30 PM! @cal 3433
Mes Regina of the Eagle clan has been found guilty of treason for attempting to assassinate Lord Talion Iberik, son of Lady Regent Nalia. Only the brave actions of Lady Juneva Corinala prevented this foul act from succeeding. However, as shocked as the citizens are by Mes Regina's acts, they do wonder how it can be considered treason, since Lord Talion isn't of royal blood.
Kids' Corner
Never have so many children from other clans been seen in the Hydra district, the majority coming or going towards the N'Gadanik Estate, but according to rumour anyone who wears a loincloths and/or doesn't speak Firan is forbidden to go there.
OOC News
Just by the district's northern gates, south of the Chimera district, many have been seeing many children, all girls who frequently disappear for hours at a time. Some even claim to have seen Princess Tia going in that direction with a few other girls, to do what... who knows?!
OOC News
The Arinzi land is gone. This means that all land income now will come from those plots of land around Anarinuell. If you held land in Arinzi, you won't receive stenis every month anymore.
Several months, around 2 IC years, ago several children got stuck in a cave. Those child objects have now been turned into PCs. A log of the rescue can be found at http://www.legendary.org/forums/ikonboard.cgi?s=d30538fb6fe822e460f7190fe9fe348c;act=ST;f=1;t=176
Anyone who needs ERP for future clan work (to fill clan needs) can contact Senika from now on.
Unfinished horses made /before/ the new system was in place will come out as 'error-name horse' when finished. Just @request attn: Cinna with the full name of the horse and I'll fix that.
New Hydras
Gamian - A conceited man, Gamian goes along with the traditions because that is what one does. He's really quite set in his ways. He tends to be gruff and doesn't seem to much like his wife, from the way he snaps at her. He wants her to be a proper wife, and he gets quite upset when he even /thinks/ she may have done something to embarrass him -- which is often, when he's drunk, and he'll take it out on her for any imagined slight. He does, however, have a definite charm to him when he wants it, and he always has his eye out for a pretty girl.
Selia Istabelik - Selia is the picture-perfect Hydra girl. She acknowledges her status as female in the Hydra Clan, being clearly inferior to all males. No girl could be more proper than Selia is. Her quiet, benign attitude causes even the most traditional of Hydra men to nod their heads in approval and dream of their daughters being like her. She is respectful, kind and sweet, and clearly fawns over her elder brother Amenik, heir to the Hydra throne. Her whole demeanor appeals to most people to protect the girl, as fragile and wistfully sad as she is. Of course that is only the exterior side of her. Behind the sweet and fragile countenance is a girl of a sharp mind and shrewd sense that would surely find disapproval within her clan. Selia masks this well, and will not let it
show that she approaches life with a passion that is quite unbecoming for a Hydra woman. The only weapons at her disposal are being good, kind and proper, and Selia patiently uses them, to bend things her way in a very indirect manner, undetected by those around her.
