Hydra Happenings!

Winter started out rough for the Hydra clan, and just when it looked like we wouldn't make our clan's needs and riots may insue, the then Lord Regent Rodellos shocked everyone in stepping down from his position as clan Regent and even more shockingly, leave the Clan's Medallion to our Great but common born High Priest, Father Javier. (Though rumor has it that the medallion is not, actually, in the care of the High Priest.) Since that time it would appear the clan guards have made an increased presence at and around the N'Gato estate.

With the clan still reeling from the loss of their leader another shock came when both the Gold Dragon and Bear Clan Leader's announced publically a trade embargo citing trade infractions suposedly made by Father Javier as the cause.

Amidst all this chaos rumors have flown about of a boy who was sacrificed on the alter in the temple of Unot and now a baby has been found dead outside the city walls and been taken into the care of the True Temple so that its poor little soul may be seen to Zutiv's care properly.

Due to the fashion of the killing (and all sorts of rumors fly as to what fashion exactly that is) it is suspected that this death might be related to those others suposedly doled out by the twin hating fanatics in the pagan temple of Unot lead by the mysterious Maliha. It is said that many messangers have left the Istabelik house bearing word regarding this woman but what exactly that word is and to whom its intended for, no on knows.

Now clan council was... its said... not a good one for the Hydra Clan. While few of the nobles are willing to speak on the matter (you'll have to find out the specifics from someone who was in attendance), it would seem that many are very offended by the conducts of some of the other Clan Leaders... the name Taria and the words "very drunk" are murmered very close together on many occations.

What is known is that the issue of the clan's regent has been brought to hand as it appears that the Hydras MUST HAVE ONE despite the fact that there is a clan in the Republic run efficently by only two proxies (cough... bears... cough) and what is also known is that there was some matter involving our great Lord Proxy Amenik's engagement to Lady Arika N'Gato. Lastly, it is known that nothing was decided about anything. It is rumored that both Lady Senika and High General Lord Proxy Katarus were sent home early from the council meeting by none other then Lord Proxy Amenik.

After clan council Prince Zaridos was charged with a wide array of charges and whipped like a common criminal in the forums. While some Hydrans are glad to see the Elianiks are not going easy on their youth, others are concerned over the apparent chaos the ruling families seem to be falling into.

In happier news though, young Saria and Sarette are both about to have their ceremony of souls (next Sat the 15th)... already it would seem, potenial husbands are being sought for both young Meses. It is expected that Mes Saria will choose the profession of Cobbler and that Mes Sarette shall choose the profession of Healer but in such chaotic times one never knows how things will really turn out.

Even happier news is Lord Proxy Amenik's birthday to be celebrated TONIGHT. It is a time for putting aside the stress of the past weeks and months for the clan and the young lord has asked that all citizens of the clan SMILE and ENJOY THEMSELVES. The clan's problems will be worried about tomorrow.
