IC: Tia's Ode to her Guards
From FiranMUX
Part I
papyrus scroll: An Ode to my Guards. Sniffle, and Sadness... By TIA! (on display in the Great Library)
{Firan, yours} An Ode to the Guards that Ojitar took Away. By Tia Firgalik. Because she was made sad.
How now, what be? a light
from afar! It shines in my noble
eyes, painful and bright.
Were you here, yes you and you and you -- the six
he recalled, I am sure, oh so sure, you would
block that aggressive shine very quite quick!
Remember the rainy days
when we would sit and play games?
Cards and little tricks upon silver trays.
Those days are no more,
my old loyal friends.
In taking you, he has wounded me to the core.
He said you'll be back!
I can only hope!
Because frankly, my friends, there are some I want whacked.
No, not really! of course. But you see,
it did rhyme.
And then I did giggle, teehee!hee!hee!
I'll send him a plea
to have you returned.
He couldn't refuse cute lil me!
And so, my dear guards, soon you'll come home.
If not, I'm afraid,
there will be more of this tome.
Part II
{Firan, yours} An Ode to my Guards, Part II
Hello! how are you?
It's been several days, I hope you are fine.
I'm remiss to say that I'm still quite blue
when I think of how he went and reassign'd.
There's this hole in my heart
that I can't seem to fill
these guards I now have just don't play the part
of comrade and friend -- they make me quite ill.
I played today alone
in my room and outside. A somber
walk around did set the tone
for a way bad day full of dram-ma.
And no friend, alas, to ease my pain!
I should just stare at the wall
and wait for him to deign
your return. But my heart? it does fall.
Low, low, low, below and down
to the depths of despair, without you!
It is all I can do to muster a frown
instead of raw tears, boo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!!!
Darling, I beg you, send them back to me?
I will dance and will sing --
I'd even say "whee"!
In fact, my true love, I'll do anything!
I'll even stop writing
these rather obnoxiously rhyming
works of literary art, best read with good lighting.
(and nothing quite fits, so I'll end this here: I do hope I've good timing!)
