Illus Ranorabus

Brother Illus Ranorabus was known as a kind and gentle priest of the True Temple, in contrast to many of his brethren. To some, he was a sign of hope for the future, when the Temple would not be as strict and unforgiving of its flock. To others, he was a softy who did not understand the strict discipline to keep order in the True Faith.

As a full priest, Brother Illus held a variety of positions in the Temple. While he began as a mere priest, carrying out rituals and regular services, he was promoted to the head priest in the Gold Dragon temple when Father Rasmus Montigo was sentenced by Lady Proxy Leyla Firgalik to build a Temple in the Old City.

Illus departed to Zutran to study in the sacred temple there, and when he returned, Father Rasmus had retaken his position as High Inquisitor of the Gold Dragon Clan. Still, Brother Illus patiently continued his mission to bring a kinder face to the True Temple, doing charitable works in the Old City Temple that Rasmus had overseen previously.

Though he was kind to all who sought his counsel, he was no less devout than any of the other priests at the Temple. He believed in the mission of the True Temple, and simply disagreed with the methods of conversion.

Brother Illus' life came to an end when he was attacked and murdered in the Hydran Distirct. He never married, and leaves no children behind. He is survived by his brother Midaro.
