INQUISITOR
Inquisitors are a special type of priest. They generally only exist in the Hydra and Gold Dragon clans. Their purpose is to root out heretics in their clan and bring them to the true faith -- sometimes by force. Inquisitors are known to be men of exceptional faith, and though they have a bad reputation due to the methods they sometimes employ, not all of them are evil or cruel. They are, however, very inflexible about their ideas on right and wrong.
Inquisitors have excellent chances for roleplaying because they can essentially interview any member of their clan on matters of religion. For the lower classes, they can make on the spot inspections of people's homes to search for heretical books. They can monitor whether or not other people are going to temple enough, and require them to attend services. Inquisitors have the ability to arrest (on their own authority) commoners for heresy and attempt to forcibly convert them. Inquisitors may do the same to nobles with the clan leader's permission. Banishment must be signed off on by the clan leader. Inquisitors should have the keys to the Ecclesiastical Prison in their clan, and should consult staffers if they do not. It should be noted, however, that the authority of an Inquisitor only extends to members of his own clan.
