Royal House of the Eagle Clan Colors: yellow/magenta

The Royal House of the Eagle had all but died out -- Eve was the sole remaining relative when she took the clan leadership, and, at that, so far distantly removed in the first place that she wasn't even from the Clan of the Eagle. Thus, the clan placed great hopes in the reproductive capacities of Eve and Zarid's twins, Lady Zeysani, and Lord Nydiam. Fridae Zaridik is the adopted daughter of Lady Eve and one of the Seven Heroes, Admiral Zarid. She is known to have been Zarid's sidekick while the heroes were adventuring, his go-to girl. Even though she is indeed a part of the Royal Eagle family, she has not been granted a noble title. Her children are Arik (formerly Zarikos (29)), the son of her late husband and sailor, Seniat, and Verus, a son she adopted while in the city of Lurashar on vacation.

Nydiam came to the Clan Leadership when his sister Zeysani staged a coup by which she tried to gain control of the Clan after it was discovered that Eve was pregnant by then-lord Judanarius of the Griffon Clan, whom she quickly married. Forced to abdicate her throne in the ensuing scandal, Eve named Nydiam as her heir and subsequently gave birth to two more daughters, the Ladies Luna and Juneva, royal heirs of the Griffon Clan.

The year 21 A.U. was a difficult one for the Royal House of the Eagle. Clan Leader Nydiam announced the birth of his first children - twins. The ensuing riots resulted in the death of one of the twin baby girls, and a series of edicts that forced the clan members to revolt, causing a civil war within the clan. Zeysani eventually stepped in and took the Clan Leadership from Nydiam, forcing him to abdicate. Also during this year Lady Eve was killed, poison reported as the cause.

Clan Leader Zeysani and Prince Solgarik had three children, the twins Zaridos and Lianos, and Ania. In 21 A.U. Lianos was kidnapped and even though all clans of the Republic conducted extensive searches, he was never seen again. Prince Solgarik fell into a coma, some say caused by him offending the Goddess Uf. In 26 A.U. he finally died in his coma, during his stay in the Royal Eagle Palace in Lurashar.

In the meantime, Zeysani capably led the clan. Her brother Nydiam was named Viceroy of the Alliance in early 25 A.U., serving as regent for the royal Elianik heirs. When rising tensions and a disastrous move forced Lady Ibania Istabannos to resign as Cockatrice Proxy, Nydiam was named Proxy in her stead, which greatly pleased the Cockatrice Clan, as his claim was much stronger due to his lineage from Eve. Nydiam had been married to Lady Ibania, and they had three children, Diamia, Banian, and Aeryk, but Ibania and Nydiam had been divorced due to his position as Viceroy. They never remarried. Nydiam later named himself not Proxy, but Clan Leader of the Cockatrice, forming his own family, IstaNydiam, with Lady Lucretia as his wife.

In her time as Clan Leader, Zeysani vanished several times but always managed to return. Most noticeably she was pulled beneath the waters of the river by the Kraken, a sacred creature of her grandfather Zin, as some say. She returned months later, safe and sound, and not long afterwards married once more, Lord Donos Ista Aldrik. Together, they had two children, Daranos and Nazina.

In 33 A.U., Clan Leader Zeysani declared war upon the Hydra Clan for naval attacks on Lurashar and led the troops to Arinzi herself. She was captured by the enemy and taken a prisoner of war. Never giving in to the enemy, led by the half-Shamibelian Draugik, she proudly faced them, to her death by Draugik's blade. According to her will, her husband Donos was to lead the Eagle Clan as Regent until the heir-apparent, Princess Ania, was old enough to succeed her mother.
