Overview

In the Bonduin Pantheon, Ithadu is the Elephant Warrior Woman. She is the great warrior woman who sometimes appears as an elephant. The Bonduins believe that Ithadu strides out, in the form of those Bonduins who attempt to free those from Shamibelian slavery and go to the Firan lands to help the Firans against the Shamibelians, and protects them from afar. She is often thought to fight with Ulashanai over the souls of those who have led questionable lives, as does Doya.

Ithadu is the Firan equivalent of Srenna.

Worship

Worshippers of Ithadu tend to learn the art of protecting themselves and others by hand to hand combat, knives, swords, bows and other weapons. Prayers to her are delivered usually with a weapon in hand, with offerings of small birds and animals. Often, in lieu of animals, blood from the praying person will be drawn, usually from the palm and offered to her. If an enemy is slain, a worshipper of Ithadu will sacrifice the slain ones blood, or pray holding the weapon that killed him, to Ithadu.

Order

Ithadu's priests and priestesses tend to be warriors, of all ages. They pray to Ithadu to protect those who fight against the Shamibelians and all enemies. The elder priests and priestesses teach the initiates how to fight and the proper ways and rituals to pray to Ithadu. The rituals and prayers can vary, but have certain elements the same. It is quite like what worshippers of Ithadu do to pray, except the priests and priestesses must always include their own blood, not much, a drop is sufficient. They must never use any others blood, even when praying over the success of a defeated enemy. Their ritual robes tend to be in colors of red and brown and an ornamental knife indicates rank.
