JORJEENA

Woman, man or both? The life of Jorjeena Garkansen, or Mer Jorje, as she was known for one ill-fated year, began with grandiose hopes and dreams, but ended alone, a great promise wasted. Jorjeena was born into the prominent upper-middle class Garkansen family in the Chimera Clan and it was evident at the time that such a beautiful, elegant, refined, well mannered young woman would surely be able to marry up into nobility. Jorjeena believed this as well, so she met and used her charms on the Ista Barun brothers, Lords Adrastus and Battus. She apparently played one off of the other and at various times, both men asked for her hand in marriage. This caused strife between the brothers and she was accused of stealing from the Ista Barun family to acquire her dowry.

This caused a social backlash for her that saw her sent away from Anarinuell for some time. Upon her return, she met a single young brewer, Nazlo and decided to practice some of her entertainment and acting talent on him. This soon led them to elope but it dashed her hopes for nobility.

Scandal was always close on the heels of the young woman, as not much later, Jorjeena was arrested and accused of poisoning her niece Antonia. Though she swore she had not done it, the Goddess Eesha knew the truth, so Jorjeena was transformed into a man who called himself Jorje. Mer Jorje lived as a man for a year. During this time he tried to atone for all of Jorjeena's misdeeds, but the marriage with Nazlo dissolved and the Garkansen family disowned her.

Jorjeena's death was as unusual as her life. A Dragon, (one of the parts of the Chimera), hungry for the horse Jorjeena was leading, swooped down and scorched her to death with his fire before devouring the horse.
