Overview

Kamen's frame has filled out to show a nice set of muscles. Where he looked a bit girlish and almost too handsome as a child, he looks more masculine now. His jaw has a stubborn set to it and his brown eyes are always filled with something akin to anger and spite. He tries to hide this with limited success. Still, around those he cares for he will smile, and a smile like that, from such a handsome boy with thick, long eyelashes, will surely catch the women's hearts when older. He is quite physical, never still for a moment, and he moves quickly but without much grace.

Family Life

Born in 18 A.U., Kamen lived the first ten years of his life as part of the upper middle class Tanelish Family.

In youth and childhood, the adopted son of Ishani and Indigos Tanelish was known as something of a bully, at times angry and unpleasant, and at other times full of mischief and adventure. He often expressed contempt for his adopted Eagle Clan, preferring to think of himself as a Mighty Gold Dragon, as his dead birthmother, Ishani's sister Suki, had been.

In April 28 A.U., Clan Leader Zeysani elevated the Tanelish back to the noble status they had had while still the Jianni Family. Thus Kamen became a noble lord and even brasher than his usual willful self. He had his Ceremony of Souls in the True Temple and declared himself a Monotheist. In April of 35 A.U., Kamen married Lady Maya Manosik, taking the Manosik surname as his own, and joined the Gold Dragon Clan.

In the fall of 35 A.U., Kamen joined the resistance group which became known as the Blood Dragons, who were attempting to found a new clan. The resistance developed into a civil war between the Griffon and Gold Dragon clans over the control of the city of Scirlut. For acting against the Gold Dragons, and the wishes of his head of house, Kamen was stripped of the Manosik name and divorced from Lady Maya in December 35 A.U., though he retained his noble title with the Gold Dragons.

In order to bolster a potential claim on the Blood Dragon throne during the Blood Dragon Civil War, Kamen made speeches claiming to be the bastard son of then-Clan Leader Jalil Firgalik - a claim later refuted publically by his until-then-believed-to-be adoptive mother, Lady Ishani Tanelish, who announced that he was, in fact, the bastard child of the late Lord Covis Junik and herself. The airing of family matters was ill-received by the public. Another speech that stands out for its ill acceptance was "Fog of War," in which he claimed, after reports came back that whores had been sent by the Blood Dragons to distract the Griffon troops, that his scribe was to blame, and he had actually ordered horses to be sent, to divert the feathered griffons. Some of those Gold Dragon whores paid the ultimate price for that mistake, as they were executed by Griffon soldiers, and their bodies sent to Scirlut.

Thoroughly discredited after the Scirlut campaign, Kamen more or less dropped out of the public eye until the Antonian Apostasy in 39 A.U. Kamen was put to death for his crimes, as were several others including his former Head of House Lord Audentus Manosik. After his execution, there was no announcement made regarding Kamen's funeral, a quiet and unattended ceremony assumed to have been held in the True Temple.
