LORD KEMET MANOSIK

At times it seems that no death in recent years has caused more clan tensions than the death of Lord Kemet Manosik. A child in the times of the Great War, he was adopted by Lord Yosun Manosik when he was a child. In fact, the Gold Dragon Lord saved him from the Shamibelians, and took him into his family, with all of the privileges of nobility. Of course many would look down on Lord Kemet over the years, for he was not true nobility and had commoner blood, but nevertheless he was a member of the respected Manosik family. He had an appreciation of the arts that made him pursue such pastimes as working as a jeweler. He was known for his kindness and for being a well-mannered, deferent young man, respectful of authority.

That he would join a group of Gold Dragon nobles ordered to the Bear District to stir up a little trouble during riots in spring of 23 A.U., in a time where Gold Dragon and Bear relations had long been smoldering, is unsurprising. This found him, Lord Zafir Junik, Lady Throgana Keniwik and Lord Yaffros Iberik arrested by the Bear Clan when the mob had been dispersed. Through negotiations, all nobles were freed. All nobles but Lord Kemet. He, instead, was sentenced to death by hanging for attempted murder, as he had been wielding a weapon during the riots. This sentence was later overturned by Lady Proxy Fidelia Ista Aldrik, which raised the ire of her Bear clansmen who wanted to see a Gold Dragon suffer. In front of a mob consisting of hundreds of Bear citizens, Lord Kemet never made it back to the Gold Dragon District when he was to be released. Lord Tergus Teranzik killed him on the steps of Bear Hall, against the orders of his Proxy, to appease the masses, on January 21 of 24 A.U. During his custody he received permission to marry Lady Maya Junik, who was thus a widow, without ever having seen her husband outside of the Bear Hall Jail.
