Bio Check
- Has all biographical data been filled in?
Statement Check
- Does each character have an opening statement?
Coherence Check
- Will this sheet make sense to a player who knows nothing about the LARP but the information presented on his or her sheet?
- Can some pronouns be replaced with specifics so as to make the sheet clearer?
- Does the player need more information about the other characters they are involved with?
- Are there things that the character should know that aren't on the sheet?
- Are the clues in logical order so that they tell a coherent story?
- Does anything on this sheet contradict other sheets to your memory?
- By the end of the sheet, does the character's timeline make sense?
- By the end of the sheet are there any unresolved questions about _this character_? (Questions about what other characters did are fine.)
Prop Check
- Are there props the character should have that aren't written on the sheet?
- Are there props that need to be somewhere in play for this character's sheet to make sense, that aren't on anyone else's sheet?
- Are the props given in the right round, so that they don't have a prop but have no idea what it's for?
Relationship Check
- Are all the relationships that the character should have accounted for and described on their sheet?
Goal Check
- Does the character have enough to do during the LARP?
- Do the character's goals make sense?
- Should some of the character's goals be moved to other rounds because they give too much away?
- Are the character's goals tied into solving the murder, or preventing it from being solved?
- Are there people the character should be protecting? If so, add it to their goals.
- Are there people the character should be ruining? If so, add that to their goals.
- Is there a mechanism by which the character's goals can be achieved?
Trait Check
- Are the character's traits something that can be roleplayed?
- Are the character's traits interesting? The more flamboyant the better.
- Does the character's traits make sense, or are they just tacked on there randomly?
Background Check
- Does the background sufficiently give the player a snapshot of what their character is like?
- Does the background give the player a snapshot of their character's current situation?
Spelling and Typo Check
- Has the sheet been spell-checked?
- Have the clues been edited for typos?
Detail Check
- Does each of the characters know what they were personally wearing during any masquerade balls? (This should be in one of the concealed parts of the sheet or in the background)
- Using "print preview" on your browser, make sure each of the rounds fits onto a single page.
- Are the goals in the right rounds? Ie. If someone has a goal to kill X but doesnt' find out until round two why they would even want to kill X, the goal should go in round two additional goals, not in the first goal section.
