Mom,

I've been so busy in the medic's tent that I haven't had time to seek out anyone, but I'm sure I'll run into Chelona and Firnik sometime. I have little time to think, much less talk, between the healing and the sermons and seeing to preparing the dead for their last journeys to Unot. But I guess you know we're not really able to talk about anything much in our letters. Too much risk of them being discovered or read by the enemy. All I can really tell you is that I love you, and father, and the rest of the family. If anything should happen to me, just make certain that the children are taken care of? I know Aleem will try, but I'm afraid for the girls. I don't want them to get lost in the orphange. If he remarries, will you make sure that it's to a good woman? I wouldn't want anything less for my girls. I don't worry about Loshad so much. He's already so grown up with plans for his future.

I don't have much time to write more. I have to write back Sren, Father, Loshad, Emranik, and Stavros all before this next battle. I managed to make some time in between blessings. Pray for us, as I do for you.

P.S. Tell Kesim I'll be back soon so he can ride Unot's Embrace with me. And tell the girls that we'll climb Unot's Observatory when I have the sleepover after I come home.
