Letter from Eirene
From FiranMUX
{Firan, 99.9%} Dear Andreas,
{Firan, 99.9%} I'm sorry I haven't managed to send along a tent. Unfortunately, supplies are low here in Anarinuell. I haven't managed to get my hands on enough canvas to complete a tent, but as soon as I do, I'll make sure you get it. Other shortages -- such as leather -- have been really making my job difficult. But this too shall pass, I'm certain. I've never had /silk/ and not /linen/ before, though. It's odd!
{Firan, 99%} Unfortunately, I couldn't get whiskey either. I tried the market and every bar I could think of! I sent, instead, a variety of wines. There's /three/ bags for you, so if you're missing one, make sure you speak to the mail people. Let me know if you need anything else!
{Firan, 100%} I'm so proud of you, learning to write. I know I had a hard time of it when I learned. But thankfully, my mother taught us all, so my sisters and I worked through it together. I'm astonished you've managed to learn so much in so little time. You must pass on compliments (and thanks) to your teacher!
We're all still good here. Cyrene's got a bit of a cold, and thus has been more difficult and fussy and cranky than usual. But, on the up side, we've been taking a lot of baths lately, trying to ease that cough. I'm petrified that I'm going to fall asleep in there one day, I'm just so tired. I think she might have shared her cold with me. Nice of her, isn't it? I've been feeling a bit down. Nothing serious, though, so don't you worry about it.
I have to admit, every letter I receive from you is a /huge/ relief. I go weak in the knees and I can't breathe until I read the contents. I heard, just the recently, that you took Fort Zayes. I can't imagine how frightening that must have been. I would have been utterly paralyzed! But I'm sure you were so brave. The capture of Fort Zayes fills me with hope -- but then I remember you're just a sneeze away from Ellish and my stomach flip flops. I wish the army could do without you, and you could be home, with me.
But it's not to be.
Take care of yourself. Tell Dame Cyrilla I say hello and wish her my best. I know you'll look after her for us. She's a wonderful and capable woman, but I can't help but think she'd be somewhat out of her element there. But then again, people continually surprise me. You are both in my thoughts and prayers.
Love and Hugs and Kisses,
Eirene and Cyrene {Signature} The signature of Eirene. {Date} Dated Oct 03, in the year 42 A.U.
