Letter from Katriana

Dearest Republic Soldier,

Hello! I am writing you to tell you what a wonderful job you've done so far. I know that the losses are great. Believe me -- I have lost a brother and father, and am in mourning myself.

As a child, my father would sit me upon his knee and tell me of a day we would not worry about the Shamibelian menace no more. He died fighting for that goal, and for that I am proud of him. He died a hero's death. That does not make me not mourn my loss. I know that everyon has lost a great deal. But, my hope is that the losses are for something -- a deal higher than our own selfish need to keep these people in our life. I will miss my Daddy. I was always his little Princess, before I was a Princess. Yes, this is Acting Queen, Princess Katriana Elianik writing you. I had a father fighting, I had a brother fighting, I have Cousins fighting, and my husband (Prince Argin) is fighting.

They try to scare us here. They drop their dirty propaganda and dare to fire at our Princeses. We will not cow in their wake. I will go out to the mail betters and drop this letter to you. You are our future. The future of our children -- fight with valor and honor. We pray for you.
