Letter from Ulyn
From FiranMUX
Sep 02, 42 A.U.
Dear Lady Kassia,
I received your kind package, and reading the letter it made me remember again the reasons why I serve faithfully, proudly with the Republic and protecting my clan and fellows of the Republic. There is chilling rain from thick grey clouds, driven by a furious southeast wind today. Although I refrained from participating, I watched as I walked out of the camp on patrol that the spirits of the Republic men and women here are high.
I heard from a Hydran in a tent nearby the speech of Lord Viceroy Taleo. It is a good thing, from a simply Sentry, to know he has the backing of those Zutiv placed in power. It gives one a sense of....well, I am not sure how to put it. Perhaps when my father saw me for the first time, that feeling is how I feel. Our soldiers performed very well here, and on our first battle I am glad that Zutiv found favour with us.
I shall write every week to you. I do not recall ever in my time at the Front receiving mail. A Hydran does not expect such things. The soldiers, however, take great care in going over letter and letter, reading about things they hold on to with their families and friends. I would encourage, for their sake, that those who have loved ones here to continue to write - even if they do not reply. Please understand and pass on that anything received is treasured, shared and valued highly.
Again, I take great pride that the Hydra contingent and individuals have pushed themselves. I apologise that I do not speak though of what has occurred. There is nothing to worry about - faith, dedication, honour and duty drives the core of each man and woman here to excel in battle.
May Zutiv bless you and your family. May the N'Gato's, your extended family, be well.
Long live the Republic.
In Service, and Respectfully,
Sentry Ulyn Anizut
