From Dalinuel's POV

Ellish: Vasaloo Estate -- Men's Quarters

Contents: Iona Omiak Gemma Veliana Anorna Emil

Veliana nods her head and says, "I figured that was the case. I don't think we need arrows flying at us while in the tower. Who knows what damage that could do." She takes a deep breath and goes back to being silent. *Firan*

Omiak nods. "I may not be able to do much. But i am big enough to make a good shield." *Firan*

Use the Firanosian as a wall. Emil can handle that.

Sari is looking a little bewildered about what you want her to do. "I know where the tower is," she tells Anorna. "Everyone does. But it's too dangerous. I can't go there. They will sacrifice my heart to Obala."

Omiak looks to the little girl. "Get us as close as you can. We will go from there." He says to let her know they wont her be harmed. He looks to Anorna to see if she agrees. *Firan*

Gemma folds her arms over her chest, a bit of surprise touching her features when Sari finally speaks. She brings her gaze to the girl and listens, scowling a bit at the child's hesistance to take them there.

Anorna presses her lips together from her spot on the floor with Saria. She takes a deep breath and says, "Well, you ---- bring us ----------- -- ---- make sure --- --- not sacrificed." She looks to Omiak briefly and then holds her hand out to the girl. *Shamibelian*

Dalinuel bows to General Kira.

Artu turns to look at Kira, nodding. "I remember you from yesterday." he says, with a bright smile. "And I am Sentry Artu Aegrotik, Gold Dragon! And, I'll be happy to see if I can find you someone to talk to in power!" Another grin, "Also, very nice to meet you, I mean, in the more technical term of meeting you." *Firan*

The little girl solemnly leads them outside, then looks up at Anorna and tells her, "Ok, we're here."

Anorna peers at Sari and points back to the Vasaloo Estate, "This -- not --- tower, little ---- This is right ------- where we were." She doesn't really smile, but looks at the girl solemnly. "You must ---- us to the tower." *Shamibelian*

Kira is standing outside the old Vasaloo Estate looking concerned. Her head bobs once though she seems a lot more solemn today, "Sentry Aegrotik, thank you." She folds her arms looking grim but there's always that overly interested air about her. And even as she tries to be more stoic, she breaks down into, "It's a pleasure to meet you as well." *Firan*

The girl's lower lip trembles. "You said to lead you as far as I could as was safe. There it is." She takes her finger and points up at the tower.

Gemma understood a little Shamibelian, and nearly laughed at what the girl said. But she somehow managed to keep her composure and flatten her features, though the glare towards Anorna and Sari was unmistakeable.

Veliana peers at the child as she leads them out of the estate. This will be interesting. She doesn't speak though, her grey eyes falling on the child, simply staring at her. Assessing, before she turns her gaze back up at Anorna.

Iona huhs at this. "Why is she stopping, isn't she going to show us how she got out?" The Uffian looks up at the tower from their place on the lawn. *Firan*

Omiak walks out after the little girl. He then looks around and seeing the Shammibelian he pulls the hood of his robe over his head to hide his face and look to where the girl leads them. He then pulls a new piece of straw from pouch to chew on.

"Tell her she needs to bring us closer," Gemma says flatly to Anorna, "Give her food. Or something."

Anorna reaches down and holds the girl's chin in her hand lightly, "--- I said to bring us to --- tower. All the others will tell --- as they wish. But you --------- you can trust --- Right?" She looks back towards the tower momentarily. "--- you ------ lead -- on our --- now and I'll stay by ---- side." *Shamibelian*

Artu is a very friendly person, really. He then stops to think. "Is there someone in particular you'd like to talk to?" he asks, blinking. "I mean, I could try to find Lord Cortik, or someone else of importants. Me, I'm just a soldier- but its great! I can use Ballista, and the bow and arrow, and the sword- though the bow and arrow better than anything else. But, yeah. Who do you want to talk to?" He's ready to run! *Firan*

Anorna turns and looks to Gemma, "Shut. --- You not --------" Her tone is a bit protective. *Firan*

The little girl looks very much like Anorna has asked her to please kindly drown herself in a pond, in a very nice and sweet way. She looks to the west, where the gangs control things, bites her lip again, then starts walking. To the west.

Dalinuel lets Anorna get on with it. "General Kira," he asks. "Did you receive the medicine Sister Iona," he indicates the priestess, "Had her bird bring you?" *Firan*

Gemma was suddenly rather glad she couldn't understand Firan that well, and merely lifts a brow in Anorna's direction.

Veliana shifts the weight of her body from one foot to another. She doesn't look at all interested in getting in the middle of Gemma and Anorna. She simply turns her gaze on either of them in turn and then back down to the child. Oh she's moving. Now, Veliana starts to follow with everyone else. Anorna takes a deep breath and whispers reassuringly to the girl as she she is lead towards the west, "- thought --- said you came from --- south, little one?" *Shamibelian*

Iona looks away from Sari as he name is called, looking over at the curious woman. She bows her head politely and offers a quiet blessing under her breath. They're moving on, it looks like.

Kira looks at the area as there's tons of people. A bit of frustration shows on her face, "I'd like to talk to someone in charge..." But Dalinuel addresses her and she looks up, "I did but the fever is sticking. I was hoping that you could help some more. We've not had any luck on our own with pulling him out of it." *Firan*

Omiak waits a momment and looks to the little girl and watch her. He lets Anorna handle the situation. After a momment he then begins to try and keep watch from under his hood to everyone around.

Kira starts following Steph. You follow Steph. Gemma has left.

Sira a little girl comes in leading a bunch of priests and such. "Ok, we're here!"

Iona frowns softly to Kira. "I'm very sorry to hear it, General. Perhaps one of our healers could have a look at him? I"m not medically trained, really. But the bird found you alright then?" *Firan*

Gemma throws her hands up in frustration, letting out a groan. This is what happens when you baby children! She stares at Anorna hotly, waiting for her to do something.

Anorna sighs and looks back at Sari again, "- am ----- aware -- ---- the tower looks like, child. --------- - lived her too." She ties not to let herself get upset, though, and Anorna takes out piece of food for Sari, "----- This is --- last time I -- asking you ------ -- the ------ ---- ------ ----- ---- ----" *Shamibelian*

Kira looks absolutely confused a moment, "Your leader is a little girl?" She looks boggled a moment, shakes her head and continues, "Ahhh....the Princess said it was a danger but if you're going to help..." More confusion at this situation with the little girl leading the group. *Firan*

Emil pauses to look towards Kira and then over to the sentry who's talking to her. And now others are talking to her. Seeing a woman in silks and iron armor at the same time, he makes an automatic assumption. "You, mes, what is it that you require. I'm Lord Emil Firgalik." *Firan*

Veliana tilts her head when the word of healer comes to her ear. She glances back and says, "My mother could help you. Find Karana." She says quietly. No real expression in her tone, simply stating a little fact. She turns her attention back to Anorna and arches a brow. Her hand comes up to rub at her temples and closes her eyes. Trying her very best to school her face with the most passive, flat expression. *Firan*

The girl looks at Anorna and starts to cry. "Rather be hungry than dead," she says, rubbing her eyes and howling as only a frightened child can howl. The citizens in this area, especially the gang-types, are looking at you hard, as if to say 'What are you doing to that little girl?'

Iona rolls her eyes as she turns away from the clearly not-helping girl. "This child is -supposed- to be helping us find a safe way to the Black Tower." She notes the girl is crying and sighs, softening. "I don't think she can help us, Mes Anorna. I don't blame her either." *Firan*

Omiak shakes his head. "We need to find another guide or go on ourselves." He lets out. He then sighs. "She is to frightened and we should not make her go any further." He looks to the group. *Firan*

Kira looks mildly appalled, "You can't send a child into there..." There's this brief look as though she's sure the Republic has gone mad, "It's dangerous out there. Hasn't it seemed dangerous enough here to you? People get stolen in the night." Kira runs her mouth as usual before nodding, "I would be very grateful for some help with my son." *Firan*

Gemma breathes out a deep sigh, her gaze drifting around her. She could pratcially -feel- the eyes of the citizens upon them. Shaking her head slowly, she voices her agreement with Iona, "We should leave her here. You said you knew how to --- there, Mes Anorna, didn't you?" *Firan*

Anorna doesn't look too amused and lifts her chin just slightly, "I said I would keep you safe." The woman looks slightly betrayed and then sighs and kneels down in front of the girl with a bit of difficulty doing so. "----- cry, little one. Okay? ----------- --- go back -- the ------ --- Prince wanted you to come..." Since Anorna originally left the girl behind. "I'll send --- ---- into --- walls. -- the ------ --- a ------- with it, he can take it out on ---" She decides and leans forward to brush the girl's hair back, "There, there. Don't --- -------- -----" *Shamibelian*

As the group comes into the square the people recognize one figure more than the others. Instead of shouting 'Greenies' this time all the little kids are yelling "Effeffeye!" It seems Kira has a reputation here, and it's not necessarily a good one. Perhaps she takes a dim view of thievery. Or perhaps the gangs have denied her faction food and supplies before and there were hostilities. It's hard to say.

"She said she came from near there," Iona explains with a sigh. "We thought she would know a quick or safe way back." Her buzzard ruffles its feathers at the yelling children and Iona hushes her quietly.

Artu comes in from the east. Artu has arrived.

There is a bit of whistling in the background, and it happens at that moment Thalos comes strutting by Omiak. His whistling stops, "Did you say that you needed a guide?" Thalos' voice rises an octave and he dons a petulant smirk.

Artu blinks as he's left behind by General Kira, looking a bit confused- but off he goes to find someone important for her to talk to.

The little girl cries and cries. "But you're mad at me, you're mad at me!" She's not being rational of course. She's near hysterical. Life in this city would take its toll on anyone, and this little girl is more frightened now than before, having failed her protector in some way. She is shaking, and tears are flying off her cheeks, and her skin is red, and she is hugging herself with her arms and it is quite a tantrum.

Veliana takes a deep breath and tilts her head, "If you know the way, Mes Anorna, just take us. At this rate, we will not be getting anywhere." She looks a little irritated. She tilts her head when Thalos comes up she glances back at him, her eyes staring at him but she speaks nothing. Perhaps she's trying to focus on something else, so that she doesn't hear the screaming and crying from the child. *Firan*

Gemma was looking a little bit on the irritated side herself, but somehow managed to keep calm. She twisted her body away from the child so she didn't have to look at the hysterics, and eyed Thalos instead. "You can lead us?" she speaks up loudly, to be heard over the child's screaming, and points the question in Thalos' direction. *Firan*

Anorna shakes her head and reaches into her backpack. "No, I am not mad -- you. And...guess ---------- --- do something for --- okay?" She takes out a little rabbit and hands it to the girl, "You ---- go back into the ----- and watch my ------ until - come back. Please? - trust you, and - ---- need someone -- ----- her." It's obvious Anorna has too many children and has been through tantrumville before. That, or she just knows how a slave's mind works. "Please? I do ---- -- go...but - ---- feel ------ knowing you are keeping the ------ -----" *Shamibelian*

Omiak blinks and tries to still keep his face hidden. He looks as someone comes up and asks if they need a guide. He looks the man over a bit. "A tour guide would be nice." He says simply. "Though we only wish to see one attraction." The old but still big vet says and turns to the man. "Though its interesting you happened upon us at this time." *Firan*

Anorna drops the Sheep, the rabbit.

Dalinuel would ordinarily play a crying child a little ditty on his flute, but the look of these people have pushed his Guard instincts to the fore. Something is getting rotten in the state of Ellish and he starts being careful to keep his eyes open.

Anorna looks back to the others and then to Thalos. "I know how get there, --- not know if is safe anymore." Obviously, things have changed since when Anorna was here last. *Firan*

The little girl clings to the rabbit so hard that it's eyes bug out a bit, but it's clear she accepts the sacred charge. It calms her down, and though she is hiccuping from her hysterics, the tears do slow. And she goes off to the walls."

Iona falls quiet and keeps her ears open. The tiny priestess starts to scribble something carefully onto a scroll while they wait for a proper way in.

Emil grows increasingly frustrated with the chaos. "Mes," he says to Kira, "Where is your son from here? Perhaps we can bring some aid to him, and handle our other matters at the same time." He looks about, "Damn, Sentry Artu left.. I wanted him to get a doll for the girl as well," as one shouldn't hug food. *Firan*

Kira stiffens slightly at that, "I don't...think we can do that." She explains suddenly, "Governor Keniwik has not given the Republic permission to enter as he has not met with the leader of your armies." *Firan*

Anorna watches the girl go bac into the walls and stands back up to her feet, moaning as she does so. Rubbing her back, she turns back to the others and waits to see what they wish to do now. Trust her, or trust Thalos. She stays quiet.

"Effeffeye don't help with shit!" someone yells from an upstairs window. "All they do is capture and crucify peoples who ain't Firan enough. Feck Guvn'er Firgus! Feck him!" And another part of the electorate is heard from. Iona looks up from her writing. "Wait, what? We're not doing this as the Republic. We're doing this as members of the Religious Council." She pauses, saying, "I'm Sister Iona Fengan, of Uf's temple. I may wear the Green, but I'm a civilian." *Firan*

Thalos looks at Gemma and frowns. He smacks his lips and decides he like Omiak better, "I take it you are in charge of this expedition? Where did you want to go?" Thalos eyes Dalinuel, "Been here before? Runaway slave? Couldn't resist coming back? There seems to be a damn lot of you people here."

Kira cringes at the yelling, "Governor Keniwik has not admitted any religious council either." She points out and adjusts her helmet anxiously. "I just want to help my son. It's not quite...on the books that I am here." *Firan*

"Governor Keniwik? I see. If the army was marching to care for your son, I think it would bode well for your son. We've healers here, and can travel as a small group. If Governor Keniwik desires to meet with a Firgalik, I can do that as well, but meanwhile, why don't we see to the care of your son. He is sick?" asks Emil. "Coughing? Or does he have a heavy wound?"

Dalinuel is just a junior member of the party, so he does not reply to Thalos' questions. He bows politely, of course. Someone else can do the negotiating.

Artu has arrived.

Gemma places her hands on her hips, a glare sent in Thalos direction, almost as if she were saying don't you frown at me! She took a step forward, and turned toward her group again, speaking up. "I say we follow Anorna," she comments loudly, since no one else was really making any decisions or suggestions. *Firan*

Artu runs on through again, waving to people as he goes. "I'll be able to get someone to take care of you in a moment, General Kira!" and off he goes again, Zip! From one side of Firan controled territory to another. *Firan*

Iona falls quiet. She's not sure who's in charge of what, but it seems Thalos knows more than anyone else right now. She shakes her head to Gemma, "She's not been here in... how long? We can't be sure the routes she knows are the same." *Firan*

Artu has left.

Through the gathered crowd from the north comes a boy, who seems quite easily able to duck and weave through the various people standing about. Abed makes his way towards Kira, looking around the group of Firans with detached curiosity.

Veliana doesn't look like she is going to be making a decision at all. She is not about to make the wrong decision. She's not in charge. Instead she looks between Anorna and Thalos. Her grey eyes narrowed slightly in thought. She crosses her arms in front of her and just waits.

Gemma glances toward Iona, speaking quiet plainly, "And who says -- can trust him? She's a female. We have a .. natural affinity for direction." *Firan*

Omiak looks to Thalos and just nods. He doesnt really answer a certain question. He watchs Thalos a bit more and rolls the piece of straw between his lips. "We would like to see the tower." He points towards the large tower of interest. "Name your price?" *Firan*

Anorna still remains quiet and doesn't argue in either direction.

Iona says "He screws us over, he doesn't get what he wants. It won't do him any good to betray us." The buzzard carrying priestess just shrugs, her backpack-perch shifting. "I'd rather have a guide who knows the city -now-." *Firan*

Kira reaches out to ruffle the hair of the boy as she waits. This happens often, "Going to be a long day Abed. You're going to be good and tell the Governor that we were out at temple, right?" *Firan*

Veliana seems to be seeing Iona's logic on this and her gaze turns over to Thalos, her stare trying to penetrate his features, perhaps trying to see just who he is. Otherwise, her face is stone still and expressionless.

Emil waits for Kira's response as she pays attention to some child.

Dalinuel's ears perk up. "That was the name I could not remember! Abed is the Lt. Governor's runner," he explains to the others. *Firan*

"He's the what?" Gemma questions Dalinuel, she doesn't understand Firan very well sometimes.

Iona ohs. "That was who you were thinking of last night, right?" She smiles at Dalinuel as she looks over to the boy, waving a little hello." *Firan*

Thalos sucks on his teeth and then begins counting on his fingers, "Well, considering that I am going out of MY way to do you a favor, and of course, you want to arrive their safely. You don't look as daft as the folks that went off pretending to be slaves. Almost, all the slaves that are alive, left in this city have some kind of armor and weapon. I would say 20 fresh ox, 20 sheep, 2 horses and one of those things you call dogs. Does that sound fair?" His nose twitches.

Abed wrinkles his nose at the hair ruffling, though he doesn't shove Kira's hand away. "Sure. -I'm- not getting in trouble." He looks around the group of Firans critically for a moment, especially Iona when she waves at him like that. He's young but tall, probably 13 or 14 years old. Hearing his name he straightens up his thin shoulders quite proudly indeed, regarding Dalinuel. "That's me. Who are you?"

Iona is about to ask where the feck do they get twenty oxen from when she recalls what Abed said. "Temple? Excuse me, mer... Abed? You have a temple here? To whom?" She's a priestess, this stuff distracts her. *Firan*

Gemma mutters something under her breath as Thalos names his price, and she glances back to Anorna. "Anorna will lead us there for free," Gemma speaks the obvious. *Firan*

Dalinuel tries to explain in a less excited voice, "Yes, the Lt. Governor said he would send his messenger, a boy named Abed." He bows politely to the boy. "I am..." Best be impressive. "Brother Dalinuel of the Temple of Lady Kamnestra." *Firan*

Anorna looks up at Thalos and asks him, "You ---- ---- --- or can we ---- --- them later?" *Shamibelian*

Veliana nods her head and says, "Yes, Mes Anorna will lead us for free. Come on. Standing around talking about oxen and horses is not getting our jobs done." She tilts her head towards the others and just closes her eyes. Doing her best to be patient. *Firan*

Iona seems to mutter to Gemma, "He's ...... ... ..... I ..... .. ... .... .... ... ...... ...."

Gemma seems to mutter to Iona, ".. .. a man ... ... ... useless when .. ..... .. .........."

Thalos frowns and purses his lips. He smirks to the Vettle slave girl and then says, "Always in advance, or if we do it later, then the price doubles." He looks back to Omiak a moment and then leans back against a wagon, lazily, "Yes." He looks up at the sky, "It is going to be a mighty fine day, indeed. Good day for a stroll."

Kira nods to Abed giving him permission to speak while they wait. She nods her head, "That's a good one. The Governor is not the person I like to see upset. Did you show up for morning song like you were supposed to?" *Firan*

"We can stand here and barter with that man all day, or we can go with Anorna and get the job done!" Gemma says loudly, another glare given in Thalos direction, "It is obvious what the best choice is. Let us go with Anorna and get this over with."

Omiak shakes his head a bit. "We do not have that at the momment. Maybe if we could try and send it later. If you want it now, then that price is to high." he nods. "Then we can barter maybe for a map or just directions to it." He glances to Anorna. *Firan*

Anorna hrms and says, "And if I were to ---- --- -- dog now, ----- --- ---- -- - --- or information -- how to get there...relatively safely? I paid - million stenis --- my ------ ---- is --- worth." She turns to glare at Gemma again, "Shut up, Ticanee!" She blurts, which is rather un-Anorna like. *Shamibelian*

Iona says "Didn't General Argin say the FFI was going to help us?" She looks over at Kira, who the kids were chanting that to. "I thought they were going to send a guide." *Firan*

Emil stands, waiting. "I asked you a question, Mes," he says to Kira. "We've healers here, and can travel as a small group to aid your son." He catches word of Morning Song, "And I suspect that your group has not had a service held by an actual priest of Zutiv for quite a long time. After we look in on your child, we can handle the service, and continue on from there." *Firan*

It would seem that the problem is not _how_ to get there. The tower is so big that anybody but a blind man could find it. The problem is how to get there safely.

Veliana nods her head in agreement, "I am not going to be the one who goes back to say that we didn't get anything done while on Republic or Religious Council time." Her perpetul frown becomes quite evident. "He also said ..." She looks to Iona, "That if the correct guide did not come forth, we were to use Mes Anorna as our guide." *Firan*

Artu has arrived. Rodiste has arrived.

Dalinuel nods at what the Priestess says. "He said he asked, Sister." *Firan*

"The Temple of what?" Abed squints at Dalinuel, more a look like he's sizing him up physically than listening to his actual words. He looks back at Kira and nods, scratching the back of his head. "Course I did. I always do." He looks back now at Iona, lifting his chin. "We have a temple. The True Temple of Lord Zutiv." He speaks proudly, then Emil distracts him and he looks that way. Whoa, eyes wide now. "What do you mean? You're a priest of Lord Zutiv?"

Iona says "I thought he said to use the child, which has proved useless.. but if this he wants an entire barn for passage, we can't provide it!" She frowns and oohs at the children. Monotheists? This is useful information all the same. "Ah, you follow the Father. Do you worship Him alone?" *Firan*

Anorna clarifies for Thalos, "I know --- to get there, - just do not know the current --------- ----------- ------- Tower. So. The dog for information...does this sound fair to ----" *Shamibelian*

Gemma stiffens as Anorna tells her to shut up, her fists clenching. She immediately turns to glare at the Mes, and yet her voice remained calm, "I am trying to --- you all to your destination quickly, instead of standing here in the streets. I know Firans don't understand a lot of things, however if we waste all our energy standing around, bartering with that man, we might never get there. Who's to say he knows the safe way, anyway?" *Firan*

Kira looks towards Emil as if remember, "It's General." She points out to him, "There will be no travel into the territories of Governor Keniwik before he has met with your leader. Lt. Governor Junotan has already decreed it." Worry passes over her face, "He has a fever....Lt. Governor...my brother did not mention being a guide but if the Republic is willing to seriously help my son I would offer my own help." It's said carefully, because Thalos is standing there, "The price is not too high. Perhaps, you are used to small sums for things but /here/...there is no great amounts of food, medicine or joy." *Firan*

Artu nods to Rodiste. "Yes, Sir. Right away." He nods, as he brings Rodiste into the area, right to Kira. "General Kira, I've brought Commander Rodiste on Prince General Argin's behalf." he bows, and turns and takes a step back. *Firan*

Veliana just goes silent. Muttering something about this whole thing being ridiculous. She shakes her head and just shifts her weight from one foot to another.

People can be blind to the obvious. Suns all over him, silk, whip. "Yes, I am a priest of the True Temple," says Emil. "Lord Priest Emil Firgalik." He sighs, and glares towards Iona, as she goes on to confuse the world yet again. "Do you not understand what was said inside? Let us simply put aside religious differences and worship the One True God, it will ease our travels."

Thalos considers the dog a long moment, "A million stenis? Well, if that is the case - I will take the currency. Surely, an army of this size does not doesn't travel some means of wealth. A million stenis for directions. I accept your deal." Thalos seems satisfied with the outcome.

Iona softly asks Kira, before Rodiste can draw near, "If we get you what you need, will you take us safely to the Tower?" She tilts her head towards the black structure looming nearby. "Please?" *Firan*

Anorna nods her head and turns to Omiak for stenis. As she does so, her eyes flicker to Gemma, anger now held in them. She stares at the woman for a long moment while her hand is extended to Omiak expectantly. "Thank ----" *Shamibelian*

Rodiste whispers something quietly to Artu and seems to order him to do something; glancing up towards General Kira and offering a curt nod, "General. Prince Argin is detained elsewhere for the moment, I come in his stead." *Firan*

Gemma grumbles under her breath. First, all the animals in the barn. Now a million stenis? She stalks over to Sir Omiak and whispers something urgently to him.

Dalinuel likes the idea of paying off in joy. Party time!

Kira stabs her spear into the ground, "As much as I hate to admit it..." She makes a face at the ganger, "Thalos could get you there. I could too but those gangers...they find things nobody finds. They locate items you thought were missing." The woman nods her head once curtly, "Commander Rodiste, are you to meet Governor Firgus Keniwik then?" *Firan*

Firans head home after a long day's work to talk to their friends and neighbors about their lots in life.

<OOC> Kira says, "Err he cant get you there."

Abed looks back at Iona, staring at her. "What, you don't?" He gives her a mildly suspicious look, then seems to dismiss her for Emil. "Firgalik?" Whoa. He tips his head, trying to get the best look at Emil that he possibly can.

Artu has left.

Omiak nods to anorna and hands her his pouch. "That is all i have." He nods. He then loosk to Thalos a momment. He points lightly to Kira. "Exactly. Is all he says. He then turns to face Anorna again and whispers to her. *Firan*

Anorna turns to the others, "Give me your stenis." She half-orders...which coming from little Anorna isn't much of an order at all. *Firan*

Iona carefully replies, "I honor our Holy Father above, but I serve the aspect of Dreams and Birds." She has her buzzard on her pack as per example and turns around to show Lawya off. But she goes 'Huh' as she turns around. "Umm, okay..." *Firan*

Omiak nods. "Its a fifty fifty situation. This may improve our odds." he nods. *Firan*

Gemma shakes her head and simply sighs. Whatever. "I ----- have any stenis," she says to Anorna. *Firan*

Veliana narrows her eyes at Anorna and watches her for a very long time. She flickers her gaze to Thalos and then back again, "You can't expect that we brought that many stenis to this tour, Mes." She glares at the other woman and pulls out her pouch when Omiak does. She thrusts her stenis at the woman and growls, "If this will get us moving, and will help us to stop wasting time, then here." *Firan*

You hand 10000 stenis to Anorna.

Abed eyes the buzzard on Iona's shoulder. "Sure brought the right bird with you. He's not gonna go hungry around here."

Dalinuel forks over what he has. It isn't much.

Iona replies, without looking over, "I don't let her eat the dead. That's sacrilege." *Firan*

Iona means dead people, of course.

Veliana looks up at the buzzard and the talking of eating the dead. The Unotian Initiate glares quite readily at Abed with that insinuation, but her mouth stays shut in a tight thin line. No one will be eating dead on her watch.

Anorna seems a bit fed up and she points at Gemma, "Listen. I not been back home in almost twenty years. Twenty. You see this? This not Ellish when I left it." She takes all of the stenis and looks down at it with a frown, "You know what Obalan Priests do to you? Hrm? Do you know? No. You don't. You not know because you not live here. So if you want me lead you into a bunch of Obalan Priests so they leech you and stab you and sacrifice you on Obala's Altar, that's fine! But I not THINK YOU WANT THAT!" She snaps and then tries to sate her anger with some deep breathing. "Now. We need someone get money from Prince Argin...or someone. Another half million." She says this more to Omiak.

Rodiste eyes Kira with those shocking blue eyes of his and then shrugs, "Perhaps, for now though, I wanted to speak with you in private; Prince Argin has a couple of questions for the FFI." *Firan*

Abed sniffs at Iona. "So's having temples to some Lady instead of the One True Lord Zutiv, but that guy does it." He jerks a thumb at Dalinuel. Then he looks at veliana, glaring right back!

Rodiste whispers quietly to Kira.

Emil glances at the boy. "Who holds services for you now? It's getting near to the time for evening prayers, and giving our thanks for the day. And is your temple far from here?" *Firan*

Iona says "I wouldn't want to offend Holy Zutiv by letting my bird eat people instead of burning them properly, that's all." She gives Abed a quick smile and lets the matter drop. "I could send Lawya? I don't have any of the courier birds here..." *Firan*

Kira shakes her head to something Rodiste asks of her. "The land here changes daily...the people here change daily. You don't need a piece of scroll...you need this." She taps her head, "Someone who remembers and has seen it on a daily basis. I will speak to you, Commander, but must insist my boy Abed be allowed to join us." *Firan*

Veliana doesn't back down on her stare, she's the one with the spooky stare and quite honestly, she can hold it for as long as the kid can. She tilts her head and watches the kid quietly. After a while, she decides he's not worth her stare and instead turns back to Anorna. Her stare going on that woman instead.

Gemma remains calm and composed, turning toward Anorna once more. "Mes, perhaps you don't see my logic. We don't know him, we don't know his motives. -- hand him a million stenis and who knows, he could feed us to the gangs himself. We might never make it to the tower," she comments flatly, and then turns to Thalos. "Take half now. Then get half when we return safely." *Firan*

Thalos yawns melodramatically, "I feel like going for a walk; but, maybe not. If I were only more motivated..." He shrugs and looks back at Omiak, "I must have dozed off. I forgot you were there...how much you got?"

Artu has arrived. Karish has arrived.

Iona reminds them all, "Isn't this the one the General struck the bargain with? Again -- if he screws us over he gets -nothing- from us, any of us." *Firan*

Anorna turns back to Thalos and mutters, "This is all we have. - --- give --- ---- -------- --- the dog. And if you want your other ---- million in exhange for the dog on our ------- -- can -- that too." She looks back to Gemma again and points to the big tower that is pointing up into the sky, "There -- the ------" *Shamibelian*

Dalinuel shakes his head a bit. The best way to deal with monotheists is to not argue. He's keepin his eyes and ears open. That's what he's good at. Other people higher up the food chain can do the negotiating. That's why the gods created the food chain.

Thalos' eyes come alert, "Done!" He grins, "Now, I feel motivated." He holds out his hand.

Rodiste nods to Kira, motioning with a flourish of his left hand in a welcoming manner. "Of course. Come this way, General. Bring your boy, Abed. We will speak just inside the Vasaloo house." His right hand remains on the hilt of his iron short sword, always. *Firan*

Kira starts following Rodiste.

"Priest Vespasian," Abed answers Emil. As he speaks to the Gold Dragon Lord he seems to unconscious straighten up more, trying to appear a bit more buff than he is. Which really, he isn't. "It's not that far. We could take you there later!" He remains close to Kira as he talks, protectively. And when she moves so does he.

Karish follows Artu back from the North. He is more lightly armed today than he was yesterday, and appears to be more generally prepared for stealthwork. He only has one spear, now, and it's strapped in close to his back. His backpack is lighter, and he's also changed his whips. His Iron armor and long sword are a constant.

Karish removes his a cold black iron helmet that shadows the eyes.

Omiak shakes his head and looks to Thalos. He looks to about counter offer and then hears the dela has been taken. He nods to anorna. "Thank you." He looks to Thalos. *Firan*

Artu appears once more and heads over to Rodiste, a slightly bow, as he brings Karish to the man. There we go! Work done.

"Finally," Gemma grumbles with a sigh, and just shakes her head.

Anorna shakes Thalos' hand and then nods up to the walls, "Let -- --- the dog and - will listen -- your -----------" *Shamibelian*

Anorna has left. Anorna has arrived. Anorna is followed by Gahrel, the large hound. Gahrel, the large hound has arrived.

Rodiste salutes Artu, "Well done, soldier." and then nods to Karish, "Come." as he leads them back into the Vasaloo Estate. *Firan*

Anorna comes back with her brand-new puppy and sighs some at the loss. Ah well. She hands the dog off to Thalos and waits for his advice.

Gahrel, the large hound has left.

Rodiste to Artu. "Stand guard here, soldier." *Firan*

Karish nods, soldier-like, at Rodiste and falls into step behind him. He stands behind Rodiste and to the right, with very much the air of a bodyguard.

Rodiste has left. Karish and Kira follow Rodiste.

Artu nods to Rodiste- and then- he's on Guard duty, right here. "Yes Sir!, Happily!" he's now on the job, Guard-Duty Artu with Guard-action grip. *Firan*

Emil nods to the boy, "Hopefully it will be soon, as it seems like many hold improper rites." He turns to look to see if they're following the gangers, rather than the people who actually want to free Ellish. *Firan*

Dalinuel watches as the dog gets passed over. He likes dogs. At least with the General gone there's less of the "eff" squawking. *Firan*

Everyone stops following Steph. Sari, a Child has left.

Veliana looks the dog over t omake sure its not her dog. She nods her satisfaction when she sees its not. she tilts her head quietly as if she doesn't really care what the ganger gets so long as they actually start moving somewhere.

Thalos looks over at Anorna and then back to Omiak, "Now, who all is going? You had best have armor and weapons ready I can get you around most of the trouble, but even I have bad days." Thalos checks over his own gear, "Now, strap on your boots, and bring an extra bag for the loot." He grins widely.

Artu still guarding the area, walks closer to Lord Priest Emil, giving a smile to the man. "I liked our ritual this Morning, M'Lord." he offers, with a smile. "I think I'm getting better, but I still feel more comfortable with my bow and arrow." Intertupt! Sure, why not.. He's completely oblvious to whatever else is going on anyways. *Firan*

Barn animals, dogs, stenis. Who cares anymore, as long as they start moving? Gemma shifts her weight from one foot to the other, and looks towards Thalos. "Everyone here is going, aside from the guard." She says, pointing towards Artu.

Thalos, a Firan heads south.

Dalinuel starts to point out the party for the man, but Gemma manages to put it in a nutshell nicely.

Anorna shakes her head some and asks, "Where -- --- trouble? What -- --- trouble? We ---- you --- ---- information. Directions." But then, he's off. Anorna hrms and looks back to Omiak with a shrug of her shoulders. *Shamibelian*

Thalos strikes off towards the south at a quick pace. Everyone should follow him closely.

Emil mms, "Later Sentry," he tells Artu, as he follows the group wherever they're going. "Though tomorrow I look forward to exercising once again." *Firan* Ellish: Ramartha Estate

Just north of the tower is part of the contested territories. It was once a very beautiful and wealthy place but now has turned into a battle zone between the various factions found in the city. There are so many reasons why people want to be close to the Tower of Obala that blood shed is more than occasional here. The ground is not even washed clean of the last fight leaving the road and field bloody. There is a mansion on the premises which seems to be taken over by religious fanatics for Obala. It's hard to tell what is going on but there are often robed people coming in and out of the house. It is likely being used as worship, though, no immediate signs of sacrifice are obvious in this location. However, one gets the overwhelming feeling that this is a dangerous place and visitors are not likely to get by easily. It's not the crazies that will kill you, though, but the very real battle still going on in Ellish even as you look around. Today, Griffons, FFI and Freedom Fighters have all gone to bloodshed and it is a dangerous day on this field indeed.

Emil isn't looking for a battle, and he works to make sure he keeps relatively close to Omiak as they travel down the street, also trying to avoid stepping into the worst puddles of blood.

COMBAT: Claguck aims his short bow at Omiak!

Emil removes his Silver Light of Zutiv Iron Short Sword.

It seems that today it's the resistance that is in charge of this territory, and they aim their bows at the newcomers.

Dalinuel has a bad feeling running down the back of his neck. This is a Very Bad Place. He makes no bones about the fact that he's looking around at everyone...and then the bows come out!

Gemma keeps up with Thalos' hurried pace, a trained eye kept on his person at all times to make sure no funny business occurs. A steady hand stays upon the hilt of her sword, not bothering to admire the scenery. Blood and guts, oh my.

Gemma removes her Creatures of the Republic Iron Long Sword.

Dalinuel removes his short bow.

Veliana looks as if she is really trying to not step in blood and some of the other things. She gets out her quarterstaff in order to make sure that she has it at hand so that she is not weaponless. She stands ready to move if necessary.

COMBAT: Emil wields his Silver Light of Zutiv Iron Short Sword.

Veliana removes her Twisted Wooden Quarterstaff of Ash Wood.

From Ellish: Vasaloo Shops, Artu peeks at you from the north.

Artu comes in from the north.

Artu removes his .: Menacing Dragon Long Bow :..

COMBAT: Artu wields his long bow.

Dalinuel calls, "Wait! We come in peace! *Shamibelian*

It seems some warning shots are being fired.

Anorna looks down at her feet as she walks through the blood. She doesn't seem phased, but she does become uneasy when everyone starts to wield their weapons. "What are --- ------" She asks them all, but really, she's not one to try and stop them. She instead calls out to Jhaltep, "------- -- -- not ---- -- fight you!" *Shamibelian*

Veliana tilts her head. when there is an arrow coming towards Emil. She blinks and tilts her head, starting to step in front of him. She isn't about to have some noble man getting killed out there.

Jhaltep, Shami Priest shouts, "If you come in peace then throw down your weapons. Every one of them."

COMBAT: Veliana is now defending Emil.

Anorna turns to the others, "Put weapons down!" *Firan*

Gemma stiffens when the shout is heard, her fingers gripping on the hilt of her sword. Throw down her weapons?

Dalinuel looks to an officer for orders on that one.

Omiak comes into the area and looks around trying to keep close to Thalos and then blinks as he hears the shout. He instinctually moves in fron tof the group to shield them. He pulls his hood over his head to hide his face and looks to Thalos. "If you know a quick way out or around i would sugges taking it." He then looks to everyone. "Put them down, we have no other choice." *Firan*

Artu runs, having heard a shout, bow and arrow at the draw and ready.. It sounded dangerous.

COMBAT: Zilkarth stops aiming at Emil.

Omiak removes his ---[- Sturdy Iron Long Sword -]---.

Anorna turns to the others and shouts and makes a motion for them to put their weapons down, "We ---- put them down, Master!" She calls back, her eyes meeting the Obalan Priest's momentarily. She takes another deep breath and starts to twist her ring again nervously. *Shamibelian*

Omiak drops the ---[- Sturdy Iron Long Sword -]---.

Dalinuel removes his ( - ) Proud Bears Roar Bronze Short Sword ( - ).

COMBAT: Veliana unwields her Twisted Wooden Quarterstaff of Ash Wood.

You drop the ( - ) Proud Bears Roar Bronze Short Sword ( - ).

Emil frowns, holding his iron.

"Are you MAD? We throw down our weapons and they have us!" Gemma cries out, holding onto her sword.

Omiak shakes his head and the hooded man pulls a sword from his waist and puts it down. "Its only decoration anyways." He chuckles a bit. *Firan*

Veliana looks to Omiak and tilts her head. She just sighs and drops her quarterstaff. She doesn't look at all happy to be parting with her weapon. Especially not that weapon. But she stays in front of Emil regardless, unless he moves.

Veliana drops the Twisted Wooden Quarterstaff of Ash Wood.

COMBAT: Emil unwields his Silver Light of Zutiv Iron Short Sword.

Anorna glares at Gemma, "Put weapon down! Or you can be on Obala's Altar." She hisses, clearly not in the mood to be zapped by a priest today. *Firan*

Omiak says from his hood to Gemma. "We dont put them down and we are cut down where we stand." he says simply. "Think of your options and look around." *Firan*

COMBAT: Zilkarth, Shami Archer stops fighting.

COMBAT: Claguck stops aiming at Omiak.

Emil drops the Silver Light of Zutiv Iron Short Sword.

COMBAT: Dalinuel unwields his short bow.

Veliana glances back to Gemma and then back to Omiak. She doesn't look at all interested in being in the middle of their arguement.

"You are crazy, Mes Anorna. CRAZY." Gemma sneers, but she drops her sword to the ground.

Dalinuel follows the Lord's lead. He may be Gold Dragon, but he's a Lord.

Anorna removes her Delicate and Deadly Iron Dagger with Flowing Pink Ribbons.

Anorna drops the Delicate and Deadly Iron Dagger with Flowing Pink Ribbons.

Dalinuel removes his Commemorative Bronze Knife.

Gemma drops the Stabbing Kiss of the Cat <> Long Bow.

Dalinuel closes the Republic Issued Backpack: MIB366.

Veliana drops the a -0- Dark Pathway to the Moon -0- Silver Dagger.

There are some snarling snapping dogs, and they circle the newcomers.

Gemma slumps after she has removed all of her weapons, staring down at the iron sword mournfully. She should have never taken it with her, she may never see it again.

Veliana remembers about the dagger that she has and leans down to take that out and drop it on the ground as well. Her dagger is not something she looks happy to be putting in bloody ground.

Thalos looks annoyed as arrows start to fly past, "Priests! Shut your trap! You are messing with Eesani Gang right now. You know who I am, right? If you want buy from MY market, then you will go molest someone else other than us. I heard there were some Vre trying to steal some of your of your fresh water. You might want to go check them out, but leave us to our business. I have to get these people to the Griffons down south."

Anorna drops the only weapon she has...and a bit sadly too. But, she does as she is told, always. She turns to make sure the rest of them have dropped their weapons as well, and when she sees that they have, she looks back to the Priest and opens her mouth to speak, but soon Thalos is yelling at the Priest and she blinks.

Jhaltep, Shami Priest looks as if he doesn't want to believe Thalos, but he narrows his eyes. This is the new world order in Ellish that he has to consider the words of this former slave. It obviously makes him sick. "We will keep the weapons," he says to Thalos. "Our fee for free passage. The priests at the temple may demand more."

Wait, what? Gemma turns on her booted heel towards Thalos. Take them to the GRIFFONS? She looked enraged, and hoped that man was lying through his teeth.

Veliana blinks when the priest is going to take her weapons. Oh, she doesn't look pleased at all! She is ready to lunge at them, but she doesn't move. She just stands there with a glare at Thalos. This is all his fault obviously.

Anorna watches as their weapons are collected and takes another deep breath. She remains quiet and looks up at the tower, watching it.

Dalinuel misses his sword already. It was a CoS present!

"Wait!" Gemma cries out, this was too much, she's not going to lose that sword. "Give us back our weapons. We have stenis. We will pay you. We won't use them, we'll put them away!"

Jhaltep, Shami Priest shouts, "Shut that woman up, that insolent Ticanee bitch who ought to be turned into a pillow for my sofa or I will not be responsible, Thalos of Eesani."

Anorna looks back to Gemma and frowns, "We not have stenis and you not argue with the Masters."

Omiak looks to thalos and then says back to the group. "Remain calm. We give them a reason they will take it." he says simply. He still looks to the ground and chews on his straw. "Please, gemma is it. You are now taking your life and the lives of others into account with that." *Firan*

"That is my sword. Given to me by Prince Savaren, who died for you, Mes Anorna. Died for all of us." she sneers to Anorna, and turns to Omiak, "I do not, I cannot lose that sword."

Jhaltep, Shami Priest grins suddenly. "Oh ho ho. It was sword of Eelianik Prince?! Which one?"

Anorna looks just about ready to go over and take care of Gemma herself, but she's weaponless and...not a good fighter. At all. So, Anorna just glares daggers at Gemma instead and looks back to Jhaltep apologetically, "She does not know ---- --- says, -------" She tries to cover up the dent, but then Gemma just keeps going and going. "Someone shut her up!" She blurts back at the group in her native tongue. *Shamibelian*

Veliana looks quite pissed off to see her own quarterstaff being picked up. But heeding Omiak's words, she doesn't move an inch. Her entire body is stiff and tense though. That quarterstaff means something.

But, then it is too late, and Anorna just shuts up and lowers her eyes. She's not getting in between this.

Thalos makes a sour face and shouts after the priests, "And if I catch these weapons being sold BACK to me, I ain't gonna give you half what they are worth." He looks back to his group and cracks a grin, "It could have been worse." He was looking pleased with himself and reaches out and slaps Gemma _hard_, "He said be quiet woman!" He gives the priest a wave and attempts to usher his party further south.

Jhaltep, Shami Priest has his men start looking over the swords, trying to identify which one was a Prince's weapon.

Emil frowns, hearing who's sword that was. He glances about, trying to see how attentive they are, and how many are actually still holding weapons ready.

Jakrap, Shami Spearman , for his part, seems perfectly happy to let the intruders pass and is going over the weapons trying to see which one the priest is talking about. There are quite a few swords. "I think I know which one I took from the Ticanee," he says.

Gemma coils back as Thalos hits her, clutching a hand to her face. She may look defeated, but she is not going to give up. No, she won't lose that sword. A step backwards to Emil, her own gaze assessing the crowd.

Emil murmurs a couple words to the woman.

Omiak shakes his head and sighs. "I am sorry. As important as that sword may be. I have to consider your lives." He points. "We should move on." he begins to follow Thalos. Though his voice is not a happy one. *Firan*

Anorna mumbles a few words to herself. Maybe prayers. Her hands ball up into fists again as she tries not to lose her temper.

At this point, the men here seem inclined to let the Eesani gang pass.

Veliana just shakes her head and starts to follow Omiak. A forlorn look back at her quarterstaff in the hands of the priests. She looks very much displeased to be leaving it behind. She murmurs to herself, "Its just a staff.." She doens't look like she believes that comment. *Firan*

Gemma stays back, towards Emil. She did not seem inclined to follow Thalos right now.

Dalinuel agrees with Omiak. "Yes, sir," he seconds the motion. "Remember what the General told us," he reminds them. *Firan*

Gemma sighs softly, and nods to Emil. "Let's go," she declares to the group. *Firan*

Omiak looks to Thalos. "Please, lead on." *Firan*

Thalos nods once and then moves toward the south, with or without those he is leading.

Anorna moves forward with or without the whole party. As she passes the priest and the Mansion, she looks up at them both, trying to picture the area as it was when she left it. She sighs and lowers her head submissively as she passes everyone on by.

Gemma follows Thalos to the south, a final glance given to the Spearman and his archers.

Ellish: The Grounds of the Tower of Obala

There is a creepy silence here, around the tower. The earth is scorched. There is a heavy presence, and you know you are being watched.

Iona looks up at the tower in awe. Lawya uneasily ruffles her feathers. Iona kneels and touches her fingers to the soil, scooping it up and running it through.

Anorna looks up at the temple as they approach it, her eyes wide, her mouth slightly agape. She breathes steadily, but seems a bit nervous about being in such an area. It is not how she remembers it at all.

Veliana makes her way with the rest to the tower grounds. She looks around and takes in the tower with a look as if her breath is caught in her throat. She scans the area, feeling as if she is being watched. She narrows her eyes quietly as she tries to figure out, carefully and with slow movements of her head, where the eyes on her are coming from.

Omiak continues on with his head low, but still able to see around him. He then stops and tenses up a bit. He has to close his eyes for just momment to control the feelings he has. He then looks up and around. "I believe we are here." *Firan*

Dalinuel looks up at the tower. Brizo had some stories about that, oh yes he did! "It is larger than I thought," he says, not really paying attention. *Firan*

Gemma wanders her gaze up the temple, her head tilting back as she takes in the sight. But her mind was still on her sword, and her ears upon Emil.

Thalos ducks down side streets and around debris and various ruins, until they arrive at the Tower of Obala. He dusts himself off, "Well, you are in one piece, and here you are." He looks up at the place, "It's a big bastard isn't it. Normally, you'd never get this close...well, unless you were going to be sacrificed."

Iona speaks in the hushed tone reserved for temples and holy places; even if holy doesn't describe it correctly. "Can you feel it? I mean.. 'feel' it." *Firan*

Anorna looks back at Thalos, "-- praying." She adds in there, to take the edge off the scare factor. Her eyes flicker to the slave temple and then back to the tower. *Shamibelian*

Emil takes in the huge structure. Far larger than he had imagined, even after hearing the stories. "Inhabited," he murmurs, noticing the windows. "That does answer one question the council had..." Oh, boy, this is going to be a bitch to knock down. *Firan*

The tower itself is a marvel of engineering, if indeed it is manmade. It is solid black marble, or some other black rock--it shines like glass.

Omiak nods to Iona. "I can." he looks to Thalos. "Thank you." He looks to the differant entrances. "Momment of trueth." He says simply. "In or Out?" He asks simply as he takes a step forward showing his intentions. *Firan*

It looks as if the foundations of the tower go straight down into the ground. During the war, this tower emitted a terrible noise, and shot bolts of lightning into the sky. Today, it is silent. Dead, perhaps.

Dalinuel follows Omiak. Someone has to look.

Iona bows her head to Thalos as she scribbles her comments carefully onto a scroll. "Yes, thank you." She takes a small step foward - her mind is made up. *Firan*

Veliana is following Omiak the entire time. She doesn't really have a mind to stay out in the middle of no where out in front of the tower. She knows and has seen what that tower does to people. She doesn't really look interested to be anywhere in its line of fire if it turns on for some unknown reason.

Anorna doesn't move for a long while, and it seems she hears Omiak's words long after he says them. "-- go in." *Shamibelian*

Gemma takes a step forward, away from Emil, and closer to Omiak. "I gave up my most treasured possession to --- us here. Let us go inside," she says simply, pointing. *Firan*

Lawya squawks uneasily. She doesn't seem to like this idea as much as her mistress does.

Omiak nods to those and looks to Thalos. "Coming with us?" he asks. He then nods to the group and to show his part of the bravery machine he goes ahead and lowers his hood. The old war dog smiles a litte. "Collect your hearts, and minds." He says priestly like. *Firan*

Gemma glances towards Thalos, silently hoping he'll stay outside. She moves to stand closer to Omiak, and mutters something to him.

Dalinuel glances at Anorna. "Did you say, 'we go in' or 'no go in', mes Anorna." His Shamibelian can't keep up. *Firan*

Anorna walks up beside Omiak, keeping herself near the front of the group as they walk inside.

Emil follows forward, lifting the hood of his own robe over his head.

Veliana reaches up to pull the hood of her cloak over her head and shadows her face. She envelopes herself in the darkness of the cloak as she follows behind Omiak. She takes a deep breath, it seems the heavy silence of the tower, makes her a little uncomfortable. Especially without her quarterstaff for some sort of safety blanket.

Iona says "I think that answers it for us." She removes her helmet and shakes loose her curls, unused to the thing as she is. "May our Gods walk with us in these dark halls. So say we all," she intones before stashing the helm. "Let's see what Nydiam stopped for us with his sacrifice." *Firan*

Iona removes her Republic Issued bronze helmet.

Iona puts Republic Issued bronze helmet into Republic Issued Backpack: MIB220: Iona's Pack.

Iona closes her eyes for a minute as if in prayer.

Veliana closes her eyes for a minute as if in prayer.

Dalinuel closes his eyes for a minute as if in prayer.

Anorna doesn't join in their prayers. She's too distracted by staring up at the tower. "Come."

Iona feels the angry wind on her face and smiles to herself. Uf's favor comes to her in that storm. So she believes.

Thalos shakes his head, "Nope. My contract was to escort you here. We could re-negotiate?" He quickly follows up, "And back, of course."

Omiak smiles and nods and takes the group into the tower.

Ellish: Grand Tower of Obala

Anorna is clearly nervous about this and she stops twirling her ring, pausing just by the door. She looks back over to the slave temple and then back to the tower and mutters a prayer to herself now that her nerves have taken over. And then, they are inside.

Iona starts to write but finds herself too engrossed by the fact they're INSIDE the tower. She takes in a breath and holds it.

There are priests here. Shamibelian priests. And they stop and stare. The sight of you here, Firans just coming into their tower, startles them into stillness. Like horned statues.

Veliana walks very slowly, very tenatively. She blinks when she sees the priests. She tilts her head and looks to Omiak. Now what? That's the look she gives him. Cause really, horned statues, they may look, but statues, they most certainly are not.

Firans and Ticanee, the Goats mean. Gemma takes a deep breath as they enter into the Temple, her gaze sweeping the area.

Dalinuel is pretty startled himself, and he decides it's better to move very slowly as well. No sudden movements or loud noises from this boy!

Iona returns the gesture, mostly. She freezes in place and stares at their surroundings. Lawya is also deathly still.

Omiak walks into the temple in front of them all. He see's the priests look at them and freeze. He pulls the straw from his mouth and raises a hand to them. "We come in peace." He states simply. Though he looks nervous now that they can see him. He looks to the others. "Stand calm." *Firan*

Anorna shakes her head and starts to walk backwards towards the door. So many priests. One room. So many Masters. Her slave instinct takes over and she rather suddenly turns for the exit. "-- -- God...forgive -----" She whispers to herself, expecting the whole place to go up in zappy lightning now that they've crossed the line. *Shamibelian*

Veliana keeps her hands to her sides and it seems, she is doing her best not to touch anything at all. She doesn't even breathe hard. As if, perhaps one false movement, might make the tower turn back on. She most certainly doesn't need to be the cause of that. Instead, she lingers near Omiak and stands close, doing her best to school her face expressionless and her movements frozen.

Weaponless, Gemma stands as still as the Goats around her. She wasn't going to touch anything. But she does look at Anorna, her gaze narrowing at the girl. This did not look good, no not at all.

"Children of the heresiarchs, how dare you defile this place with your presence?" one of the priests finally has the temerity to ask in broken Firan.

Iona very very slowly starts to write on her scroll. The priests haven't moved yet, and neither have they... except for Anorna. Her eyes move but the rest of her stays very still.

Emil murmurs to the group, "Zutiv has deemed this holy ground, we commit no violence here." *Firan*

When Anorna hears the priests, she sort of freezes in her place and bites on her lip. Still. She's ready to bolt if need be. Maybe.

Namizik, the Shamibelian priest eyes Emil suspiciously. "There are divine laws, the Emperor Obala has told us. You are _trespassing_, children of the heresiarchs."

Omiak looks to the priest that speaks to them. He glances to Emil and raises an eyebrow. He then watch's Anorna and sighs. "Wait." He then looks to the priest. "We mean no offense. We came to learn and see the tower." *Firan*

Iona looks up and stays frozen, like a deer in the headlights. But she doesn't turn and run either. She holds her ground.

Namizik, the Shamibelian priest says, "You will humble yourselves before Obala, leave your heresies behind, and convert to the belief in the dark one?"

Gemma holds steady her frame, her gaze traveling to Namizik as the Goat priest speaks. Somehow, her face remained emotionless, despite the hilarity that spewed from the priest's mouth.

Veliana isn't speaking. She isn't moving either. She is simply moving her gaze from the priest to Omiak. Everyone else is faded out of her view and focus for now. At the priests comments of converting, Veliana's face doesn't change, it is still quite emotionless, her gaze flickering back and forth between them.

Dalinuel evades that question. "We were told you needed food." He pats his backpack. *Firan*

Anorna waits, but she cringes as she waits. She looks down where her feet are and litens to the Priest's words and cringes some words. "Forgive me, forgive me..." She continues to whisper, staying somewhere near the Zutivian Priest now. Her blue eyes flicker back to Namizik, though, and Anorna stops her mumbling to listen to him. She goes quiet and looks to the others curiously. Still, she doesn't speak to the Priests directly unless she is told to. *Shamibelian*

"We all follow the same laws, laws that state we may not strike someone down for worshiping that which is not ours alone," states Emil. "We wash our hands and faces upon entering our temple, do you have similar traditions here?"

Iona is doing her best to keep her mouth shut. Being somewhat afraid helps. Anorna twists her ring, a nervous habit, and watches.

The priest comes forward to Anorna, not letting her hide, and whispers something to her.

Omiak continues to stand protectively between the group and the Priests. He raises an eyebrow when they tell them to convert. He has to bite his tongue and repeat quietly. "Be Diplomatic, diplomacy." He loosk to the priests again. "We came to learn and understand. To see the tower. We would not ask you to come to our beliefs, but would speak to you about them if you asked." *Firan*

Whatever is whispered to her, Anorna, again, out of instinct, lowers herself in front of the Priest and mumbles back to him loud enough so that only he can hear her, after a shaky, "I strive to be worthy." She doesn't look back up at him either. Not yet. But she does stop twisting her ring.

Iona says "We acknowledge this is a place of power." Iona's blue eyes flicker in the light of the oil-lamps. "But all the same, we are here to study, to learn. But not to worship or convert. He is not our God." She then adds, softly, "And Ellish is no longer your city." *Firan*

Gemma flickers her gaze to Anorna, a frown drawing down her lips. She did not move, but her gaze was no longer upon the priests. It was upon the Mes.

The priest is snapped away from his attention on Anorna by Iona's words. "Oh, _isn't_ it? We are servants of Obala, and this is his tower. As surely as Zutran is the city of your sun god. As surely as Unotran is the city of your moon god. This is Obala's city and is therefore mine. And you will change that at your own peril. I warn you this."

Veliana turns her gaze very carefully to Iona and her eyes are widened a little as if the woman has gone made. She turns back to the priest and tilts her head. She keeps her face somewhat stone still as she listens to his words. She just stands there, watching him, with intent grey eyes.

Dalinuel lets a bit of breath out. It's just a good old-fashioned theological debate.

Omiak glances to Iona. He then looks to the priests. "Every city has it main deity and temples. Ellish has this one to Obala." He lets it be known. "But like every city there are areas and those that are devoted to other gods and forms of worship." *Firan*

Anorna just stays very still. Maybe if she stays still long enough, they will forget she is there. Her forehead to the ground, she waits until she's told to do otherwise.

"This is not a place to study. This is a place to worship. If Obala wished you to be here, you would come with a sacrifice for him. You will worship Him or you will leave," the priest says.

Iona holds her ground although her pulse does quicken. The thin woman raises her gaze to the Shamibelian priest. "I am Iona, servant of Uf, lady of the winds, lady of messages, she of the birds. She who gave birth to Drik." Her head bows respectfully, as if addressing an equal or better. "Who do we have the honor of addressing?" *Firan*

"No one wants a fight," Gemma finally speaks when the priest makes his warning, though she is not about to take her eyes off Anorna, and she is very, very quiet. "These people here, they want to speak with you, and that is all." She felt a tinge of insecurity due to her apparent lack of arms.

"My name is Namizik, priest of Obala, conqueror of Uf, who laid her down on green grasses and took her against her will to teach her the lesson all women should learn, of submission," the priest says. Then he looks at Iona pointedly. "Perhaps it is a lesson you must learn. Perhaps you should be as one with your goddess."

Oh, THAT hit a sore spot. Iona's jaw locks and her hand clenches into a fist. Her body stays motionless but shakes with rage. Never have her soft blue eyes been so angry.

Ooh, dem was fighting words. Gemma became incredibly stiff, her fists clenching with inner rage as a million thoughts swam through her head at the words of submission. And yet, perhaps oddly, she did not speak.

Anorna seems to know this much and she nods her head, "Yes, -------" She mutters against the ground and chews on her lip as she listens to the Priest "introduce" herself to Iona. She still doesn't get up off of the floor yet. *Shamibelian*

Veliana looks to the priest and in a very quiet voice speaks, "Sacrifice?" She asks the priest in a steady tone, "What does that mean? We should know of your traditions in order to make an informed decision .. as we wish to learn of your traditions and your tower." The only woman at this point besides Anorna who is not totally upset by the words of the priest. Or at least she is not showing it. Her voice is steady though nearly a whisper. *Firan*

Omiak steps a little more in front of Iona now. He then puts his hand behind his back and motions for them to stay still and maybe move back a bit. He steps forward. "Then will you grant us this to as not cause disrespect a neutral ground is agreed upon to speak." He grimaces when a name is given though. *Firan*

"You can sacrifice your maidenhead . . . if you have one," the priest says. Anorna shifts some on the ground. She's pregnant, so that's not gonna work for this one, obviously.

Emil maintains his silence for a bit, listening, and debating within himself. "If a whore is all that one can think about, one can be summoned for you, but meanwhile, tuck it into your tunic and let us focus upon the here and now." He turns to glare towards the woman. "You all were present when he was chosen to lead, you will hold your tongues for the moment, and stop wagging them like so much wind." He looks back to Omiak to let him continue with his negociations. *Firan*

Iona takes a very stiff step backwards. Everything else about the normally loving priestess is rigid and locked in place, including her expression.

The priest is angry at Emil. "It is not a sacrifice for _me_. It is a sacrifice for Obala. Your people asked. I should lie to you, and tell you that you should pour out libations. I should lie and tell you that you must burn hair. But in the end, the price of Obala's favor is not one that your people will be willing to pay, so it matters not. You will not have this tower. You will not turn this tower. So study as you will, it will not be yours."

Gemma takes a step backwards as well, nodding towards Emil. She had a feeling she knew why he spoke so sternly towards Iona, and for now she would play the part. Submissive? Well, if it meant they wouldn't be killed .. And so, Gemma bowed her head. Just listening.

Veliana arches a brow and watches the priest, and starts to say something. She glances back at Emil and gives him a narrowed gaze. But however, she doesn't speak any longer. She simply purses her lips and waits. She takes a cue from Gemma and simply stands a little less tense, though not so submissive as to bow her head.

Omiak looks to Anorna. "Any help or advice would be apreciated." He then looks to the Priests. "We do not wish to turn or take the tower. You have shown us this is a temple of Obala. It will be respected as such. I will give my word on that." *Firan*

Dalinuel bows his head as well. Visitors are expected to show respect in the temple of Kamnestra as well, even if it does smell of unwashed swaddling at times.

Anorna looks up at Omiak from her place on the ground. She then lets her gaze flicker to the priest before her and she stays quiet for now. She seems to be thinking.

Emil lets Omiak speak, choosing to heed his own command to the others.

Gemma secretly wanted to kick Anorna. But somehow she managed to stand still, silently, waiting on Omiak to continue speaking to the priest.

Emil murmurs something to Veliana, his voice stern and gruff, before he too bows his head.

The Shamibelian priest stares at you all and snorts with contempt. "What weaklings tread upon my God's holy stones. How you broke--" he stops. "Look around, then go."

Veliana gives Emil a sideways glance at his murmuring and narrows her eyes, slightly. She doesn't speak back to him, but whatever he said seems to have a little bit of a point. Lightening her face a bit, she steps back towards Emil and bows her head.

Iona continues to stare at the Shamibelian with barely controlled rage. Oh yes, she's PISSED. But she knows she's helpless against it and so stays locked in place.

Dalinuel bows again, politely. He is keeping a straight face.

Anorna asks quietly, "Your god will be angry with --- -------" *Shamibelian*

Gemma glares a bit as the priest calls them weaklings, but her thoughts race back to her lost sword. Weaklings, maybe the priest was right. Her fists still clenched, though.

Emil glares at Anorna, as she continues to utter words in a language he doesn't understand. "Sir Omiak, were you going to mention his need to pick a representative to send to the Religious Council?" *Firan*

Gemma turns her attention to Anorna, speaking in a muttered whisper to the girl. There was a tone of anger in her voice.

Omiak lowers his head as the insults begin and then looks up and nods to the priests. "Thank you, we will try not to mess with anything or your duties." he says simply and looks around a bit. He then stops and looks to see what the answer to Anorna's question is. He glances to the others to look around a little. "Be respectful as if they visited your temple." He then looks to Emil. "I was hoping to speak with one on that matter if they were willing to come and speak to the council to explain the holy nature of the temple to them." *Firan*

Omiak looks to one of Priests. "I need to speak to one who would be willing to go back with us to speak to the council of the tower and what it is?" *Firan*

Iona barks out a laugh as she starts to uncoil. "They won't, save your breath." Her breath starting to slow and her anger starting to abate, the small priestess jerks her neck as if trying to get a kink out of it. *Firan*

As Gemma gets close to Anorna, Anorna moves away from her and tries to get back to her feet, "You know nothing." She tries not to fall into the Priest in the meantime. It isn't easy to get up to her feet in her state.

Dalinuel carefully reaches a hand to Anorna, to help her up.

"Obala is already angry at you. All of you. You--you--you Republicans, who have attacked his city, and his people. You were the ones who did violence. We were defenders. You are the aggressors, and you refused to leave us in peace. Now you have desecrated this city, and were it another time, we would simply sacrifice you to appease him."

Gemma gazes at Anorna, shaking her head slowly. She really did feel pity for the girl, but then again, she felt pity for most Firans. Still, she made another attempt at whispering to Anorna.

Anorna takes Dalinuel's hand and then looks back to Omiak. Walking away from Gemma before she can hear her whisper, she whispers to Omiak.

Veliana looks back to Iona and shoots her an angry glare. If she has to be respectful, so does the older priestess. She narrows her eyes at the woman as if to tell her not to spoil the ground they have paved. She takes a deep breath and nods to Omiak. She wouldn't do anything to disrespect a temple, regardless of where it is or which god it is for.

Omiak looks as others begin to get unnerved and more open. "If you need to step out of here, please do so." He says simply enough to the firan group. He nods to the priest. "I know. I do understand what you speak of. What i offer you now is a chance to be able to go back and speak of your god and temple here to our council to show that it should not be disrespected and known as a true temple of Obala and not a tower from our eyes." *Firan*

Iona starts to smile. Her eyes shine brightly as she takes a step back, loosening up now. The Uffian looks a little insane as her eyes shine. She says nothing, though. Bowing to the Shamibelian first and starting to take a few notes on the temple next.

Gemma breathes deeply, and forgets about Anorna. So much for trying to be encouraging. There was a glance back towards the door when Omiak says to leave if they need to. She briefly thought about the sword, wondering how far away the Spearman has ran by now.

What Omiak says registers with the priest quite suddenly. "Wait. . . what is it you are saying? You will let this be a place of worship again?" Omiak has somehow hit upon the only raw nerve that a man as desperate as this priest has left--the possibility that he can still serve.

Iona looks up in surprise. "Drik charged us to build him a temple. We have discussed the possibility of letting this one stand in his honor." There's still a note of anger in her voice, which comes as no shock to anyone. *Firan*

Anorna looks back at the priest and she nods her head in confirmation. Iona also doesn't say who that 'we' is.

Omiak looks to the Priest. "We have no rights as mortals to say who and where one can worship. The gods laws in fact demand that we allow people to worship who they wish." he nods. "I am here to offer the chance to explain this to our council. When they know that this is a temple they will leave it alone and allow worship to take place here." *Firan*

Gemma takes a step towards Iona when she speaks, figuring this girl was going to get them into trouble. She might as well be there to protect the woman, just in case the priest decides to slap her silly or something.

Dalinuel continues to watch. Respectfully, but eyes and ears open.

Iona nods to back up Omiak's words. Her blue eyes still shimmer with deep rage but she's found a measure of control now. She gives Gemma a 'I know what I'm doing and prepared to take it' kind of look.

"If this is so, prove your sincerity to the dark god," the priest says in a decidedly less menacing tone. It is almost as if he is excited. One has to imagine that he has been here for a year, trapped in this city with slaves who want to kill him, and some who still think of him as a spiritual guide, always contemplating his fate and how he must fight to the death to preserve Obala's temple. He senses a new fate for his horned self now. "And I... I could still serve as priest for your people?"

Gemma nods her head simply towards Iona, but takes another step closer anyway. Just for safety's sake.

Veliana doesn't move from her spot near Emil. She keeps her eyes lowered as she listens to Omiak speak with the priest. She's gone all silent. Though its obvious she has quite a bit of stuff she would like to say. But since Emil was so gruff with her earlier, she'd like to get out of the tower without fighting Gold Dragon noblemen. Instead, she simply stays silent and listens.

Omiak nods to the Priest. "It is in the laws. Anyone who would come to worship Obala can not be persecuted or turned away." he says simply. He watchs the priest. "The gods are to not be defied. We all in one way or another fufill their will many differant ways." he answers the Priest. "If you would. I and anorna." He motions to her. "Can stay and speak more to you of this and the others will return back to where we are to let them know we are safe and then we will return if you wish?" *Firan*

Dalinuel tells Omiak, quietly, "The Temple of Kamnestra will accept this representative." The High Priestess left it up to him and he decided. She can yell at him later. *Firan*

Iona says, "We could not permit sentient beings to be sacrificed against their will. Animals, yes..." She tucks her scroll into her pack and frowns sharply. "I cannot speak on behalf of Uf. He knows our feelings already." She glares at the priest again for a moment before taking in a deep breath and trying to relax again. *Firan*

Omiak adds. "Or let them look around temple as we talk." *Firan*

"The rules of the Religious Council will be followed," adds in Emil as the others speak. "Your laws, and our laws, will be respected, or we will find someone who will follow them.."

"See, this is why your women should not speak," the priest says. "They do not understand the power of a god. To sacrifice an animal is not a sacrifice. It is the coward's way out. The dark god asks us to sacrifice, as sentient beings, to feel pain. What pain will you suffer for the dark god today? You cannot leave without giving something," he says.

Emil removes his Zutiv's Bolts of Justice Three Tailed Whip. Emil drops the Zutiv's Bolts of Justice Three Tailed Whip.

Iona mutters, "Pain ... ..... ... ... ........ ....... I've ..... .. .. .... not ......."

Gemma stiffens once more. Her gaze went hotly toward the priest, and she was *just* about to open her mouth and say something when she reminded herself that she didn't want to get those around her killed. Deep breathes, Gemma, deep breathes.

Emil pulls the whip off his belt and tosses it at the feet before the priest. "Strike my back, bring the blood forward, I am familiar with giving of my suffering. There is your sacrifice." *Firan*

Veliana looks up from her spot and tilts her head, "Pain? What do you constitute as pain?" The woman seems genuinely curious about that and says, "Do you mean just blood .. or a life? Those are two different things." She flickers her gaze to Emil and nods, she gets his point. *Firan*

Iona's jaw clenches again as she takes a step back. She mutters angrily through locked teeth, hand balling up again tightly enough so her nails dig into her palm.

Omiak looks to the group but waves Anorna to come closer to him. "If they allow it the rest of you explore the temple or make your way back to the camps." he nods. "We will be fine." He nods. "There is a little more work to be done here and i believe the two of us can do it." He looks to emil. *Firan*

Anorna looks back at Emil as he brings out a Zutivian whip and winces some. Then, she looks back to the Priest and replies back softly, "-- you will allow -- council, Master." She asks, her eyes diverted to the ground. "--- ------ can explore the tower, as they were told to do." *Shamibelian*

Wesbrek, Shami Spearman shouts, "Shut up, Namizik. We knew you would betray us. Let them go or they will try to turn the tower!"

Gemma turns on her heel abruptly as the spearman appears and shouts at the priest, a hand instinctively going to her side. Oh, right, no sword.

(emit to Dalinuel) You're feeling really pissed off right now. Thirsty. Sweating. And maybe the priest has a point about women, because you're sick of their nattering on right now. You really want to hit someone.

Iona's anger seems to melt as she beings to smile again. Sometimes the Uffians just look plain nuts. This is one of those times.

Dalinuel swallows hard. He starts to look irritable, and when Gemma jumps for a sword she doesn't even have he tells her, "Stop it!. Try thinking for once." *Firan*

Anorna waits for the Priest to either grant Omiak and Anorna some time while the others go explore, or what. She doesn't look up at him for the answer. She just listens.

Namizik turns on the spearman. "This could be a new start for us. It may be Obala's will that we spread His word to the Republicans. If they will sacrifice, we will know that they are sincere--" He is interrupted by the spearman. "If they sacrifice it will be to steal our tower, you fool. They have already learned too much. We cannot let them leave alive."

(emit to Dalinuel) You are so thirsty, you might drink blood if it would help quench your thirst.

Anorna asks, "If -- ---------- will --- let us leave safely, Masters?" The ex-slave calls out loud enough so that the other can hear too. *Shamibelian*

"If you strike us in anger, it will be punished by Zutiv," says Emil. "I have offered the sacrifice, pick up the whip, and use it. Do it now." He slips off his his backplate and removes his robe to expose his back.

Omiak looks around quickly. "A compromise can be come too." he turns to look between the spearmen and the priest. "allow the group to go, and myself and

Anorna will stay." He looks to the group. "Slowly make your way to the door." He says simply. "Please." He then looks to those around. *Firan*

A glare is sent in Dalinuel's direction, though she does not speak. Of course, none of THEM were "thinking" when they gave up their weapons, and now there are threats of death. But she doesn't bring that up, oh no. She just glares, her gaze like daggers. (Ed. Note: Gemma)

"I will," Namizik says firmly. But the Spearman says no. "You must die, children of heresiarchs!"

Omiak turns quickly and moves to block the group and the spearmen. "If this happens, go now." *Firan*

Iona doesn't undestand any of Anorna's speech. She just watches the pair of Shamis with her strange little smile in place. "If we die, no one will speak for you and your temple." She takes a simple step back as Omiak says. "Let us go, so we can tell our Religious Council and try to broker an understanding." *Firan*

Gemma doesn't move. Not to the door, or toward Omiak. But she wasn't going to let Omiak and Anorna stay in here with that mad Spearsman. She wasn't stupid.

Dalinuel is increasingly distracted from the by-play. He checks his backpack but can't find what he's looking for in there. He tries chewing on a lip but gets no relief. "Did we bring any tea?" he asks the group. *Firan*

Namizik goes to pick up the whip Emil has offered, but before he can, the spearman says, "I will not let them sacrifice! Capture them! Capture them!" he shouts, and other likeminded Shamibelians come out of the woodwork to do just that.

You sense Iona gives a quick shake of her head.

Horde: Mike summons Tehrdonaz, Shami Soldier, Myrzbon, Shami Soldier, Roythorz, Shami Soldier, Hornyz, Shami Soldier, and Ulgreje, Shami Soldier!

Emil bends his back towards Namizik, letting Omiak get between him and the spearman. "A sacrifice has been demanded, the offer to pay made. If you break the agreement, you risk the temple, and the anger of the God." *Firan*

Omiak shakes his head. "Go now!" he yells and realizes what this is doing or going to do to him. He closes his eyes. "Please forgive me and understand and give me the time to see that they can make it back alive." He then yells it. "Get out now!" *Firan*

COMBAT: Wesbrek gets into a good position to attack Iona.

Veliana looks to Emil and then back to the priests. Her face is emotionless. She tilts her head quietly as she looks to Omiak. She doesn't really know what to do. When the shamibelians start coming in to capture, she looks quite stunned. After a moment, Veliana blinks, looking to Omiak for some sort of direction. She doesn't look as if she is willing to leave him behind.

Omiak closes his eyes for a minute as if in prayer.

Iona starts to run for the doors, her bird launching off her backpack and flying ahead of her.

COMBAT: Wesbrek hits Iona hard with his iron spear.

COMBAT: Iona takes a hit to the left eyebrow! Iona is looking seriously bad. Iona collapses on the ground, becoming motionless.

COMBAT: Emil is now defending Iona.

Dalinuel shouts, "Bloody hells, has anyone got anything to drink?" His voice falls off in a croak as sweat pours off him. *Firan*

Iona's bird flapflapflaps away!

Emil moves forward, blocking the spearman. "No! No violence in the temple!" he calls out. *Firan*

Omiak see's them coming out of the word works. He see's Iona go down. "GEt her and get out now." He then growls. "Firanos help me, please. Unleash me." he says as he tries to block advances and get the shammies to come at him so the others can get out. *Firan*

COMBAT: Wesbrek gets into position to attack Gemma.

Gemma jumps back towards the door, her hand reaching for her backpack. A sword was drawn from its midst, the iron she had packed just in case. See, Gemma *was* thinking, unlike *some* stupid Firans.

Veliana runs over to Iona when she is hit and stands in front of Emil as he moves in front of her. She's not about to let the nobleman go undefended. Her life isn't nearly as important as his is it would seem. Omiak's words to run are a moot point by this time.

COMBAT: Veliana is now defending Emil.

COMBAT: Gemma wields her Republic Issued Iron Long Sword.

Anorna looks up at the spearman and she lifts her chin up slightly, but becomes nervous again. She begins to twirl her ring once more and waits for the others to go, "-- --- trying -- ------- your ------- Masters!" She yells, but it is too late. With everyone yelling different things at once, Anorna doesn't quite know /what/ to do.

Omiak closes his eyes for a minute as if in prayer.

Unconscious Iona turns to run but is blocked by a big burly spear-wielding Shamibelian. The spear JUST misses her eye and she falls, blood puddling into her face.

COMBAT: Wesbrek aims and hits Gemma with his iron spear.

COMBAT: Gemma takes a hit to the left forearm!

Gemma is looking not great.

Gemma sweeps into a stance, feet apart, and her sword gripped tightly.

Emil shouts, "Do not fight in the temple, do not fight on holy ground!"

COMBAT: Gemma attacks Wesbrek hard with her Republic Issued Iron Long Sword.

COMBAT: Wesbrek takes a hit to the chest!

Wesbrek, Shami Spearman is looking terrible.

Dalinuel looks as Gemma pulls out a sword! "No, no," he can barely gasp as he tries to get between her and her attacker. There's not way for him to speak more, parched as he is. *Firan*

COMBAT: Wesbrek misses Gemma with his iron spear.

As Wesbrek's blood splashes the floor, something unusual happens. . .

Emil commands Gemma to stop fighting.

Omiak looks to everyone and then feels a bot differant he shakes hos head and points. "Get behind me everyone now!" He yells. 'Pick her up and get behind me and move to the door now." He then mpoves to block the goats as well as he can. *Firan*

Anorna points to Omiak, "But he is -- ---- ---- me, to escort me home...please, Masters!" She looks back around and closes her eyes in prayer, "--- ------- ----- ------- them...they don't understand..." *Shamibelian*

Wesbrek attacked first, she truly had no choice but to defend herself. But Emil's words calm her, and she makes the attempt to disengage. <OOC> Gemma says, "^ Gemma."

Hmmm. Hmm. Pop! The air is suddenly charged with electricity.

COMBAT: Gemma rolls away from Wesbrek, breaking off the attack!

Hmmm. Hmm. Pop! The air is suddenly charged with electricity.

COMBAT: Wesbrek gets into position to attack Gemma.

Dalinuel goes to help Iona, as ordered. Her face is bleeding...by the gods, that's wet...

Iona is waking up as the air starts to burn and crackle. She scrambles up on Dalinuel's arm and screams, "RUN! NOW!" She can feel it. *Firan*

Omiak looks and growls. "No, No....." He looks to the rest. "Get behind me for the love of firanos." He then begins to grab who he can and move them behind him. *Firan*

Veliana looks up at the humming and eyes widen. "OH gods.." She murmurs and shakes her head. She starts to try and get Emil and Iona behind Omiak, as directed. She doens't have a chance to get hidden really herself as she tries to shield those two instead. *Firan*

COMBAT: Gemma tries to escape Wesbrek, but fails.

Namizik, Shami Priest shouts, "No! Stop it! Don't spill their blood here, not here!"

"Oh, FECK!" Gemma shouts. She was trying hard to escape the Shami, but she could not disengage him.

Omiak runs as he see's the fight with Gemma and tries to get in between Gemma and the spearmen.

Emil moves away from Iona, and towards the priest. "The whip! Strike now! Make the sacrifice!" he calls out to the priest. *Firan*

Iona's got plenty of blood spilled. She wipes it from her face and flicks it on to the temple floor. "YOU WANTED PAIN?! THERE IS YOUR PAIN!" She backs behind the other firans and starts for the door. "My blood on Obala's floor. Taken against my will." *Firan*

COMBAT: Gemma tries to escape Wesbrek, but fails.

Anorna looks up at the tower, her pleading stopped for now. She looks over towards the altar and then the priests and then to Omiak. The woman in the pink armor backs up and nearly runs into Namizik, "-- is angry..." As if he didn't notice himself. She turns towards the Priest, "------- -------" *Shamibelian*

Gemma desperately makes the attempt to disengage Wesbrek, but even with Omiak getting in between them, she can't seem to escape her attacker. She was shaking, trying once more to escape her opponent.

COMBAT: Wesbrek tries to engage Omiak, but fails very badly.

Dalinuel watches the wet, tirst-quenching blood fly through the air. He falls to his knees, but there's no releif there.

COMBAT: Gemma gets away from Wesbrek.

The Shamibelian priest is enraged. "Stop it, you addle-brained fools!" Mostly, the soldiers listen to him, but for some reason, they focus their ire on Omiak.

Omiak now begins to do nothing but defend himself to let the others get away. He shakes his head. "If you can go. go now." He then see's the soldiers begin to come upon him. He nods and looks to the others. "Its okay. I have made it through worse." He nods. He then continues to try and get all there attention on him. *Firan*

Pop! Pop! Spark! There's some kind of charge that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

Gemma stumbles back, nearly falling to the ground as she finally escapes her opponent. She hits the door instead. "Oh feck, oh feck. He attacked me! I had to defend!" she cries out, trying to justify her actions. *Firan*

Iona quickly makes her exit, wiping the blood out of her face so she can see.

COMBAT: Myrzbon gets into position to attack Omiak.

COMBAT: Wesbrek gets into position to attack Omiak. Omiak is also engaged with Myrzbon, Shami Soldier.

COMBAT: Gemma stops fighting.

Iona has left.

Dalinuel can't leave...all the wet, thirst-relieving blood is in here...

Anorna opens the Sturdy Leather Backpack.

Veliana shakes her head and starts towards the door, "Come on!" She shouts towards Emil. "There's no other options!" She looks to Omiak though as if she is doesn't want to leave him. She eyes Dalinuel drinking blood from the floor. She just eyes him and starts backing towards the door. "COME ON!" *Firan*

Steadying herself, Gemma is torn between following orders and helping Omiak. She merely stands there, sword still drawn and wielded. "We have to help him!" she shouts to the others.

COMBAT: Wesbrek misses Omiak with his iron spear.

"GET OUT!" Anorna yells at the others, "GO!"

COMBAT: Myrzbon punishes Omiak hard with his iron long sword.

COMBAT: Omiak takes a hit to the hips!

Omiak is looking not good.

Emil curses some rather colorful language his mother used to use when discussing fatherly love, and grabs the whip. "No!" he calls towards Gemma. "Follow your orders," he states, grumbling as things deteriorate further. *Firan*

Zutiv's Bolts of Justice Three Tailed Whip has left.

Anorna shouts, "GET OUT!"

Emil heads out of the temple, at speed, pushing Veliana as well.

Veliana stops when Gemma speaks and looks to Emil. He's the one gonna give that order. She will stay if he says to. She's not likely to move to leave though when Emil screams at them, she nods her head. She starts to follow the orders given by Omiak. She leaves the with Emil.

Veliana starts following Emil.

Dalinuel sucks at the floor...his eyes close and tears start to trickle down his face. He can't get any relief at all...his chest heaves and he pants, finally oblivious to the rest of his surroundings.

Omiak smiles a bit and nods. "Thank you Firanos." He says simply enough and watch's them all and winks. "Didnt get me the last time, come and get me now boys." He nods and just continues to defend the best he can. He feels the hit to his hips and falters. He grits through and continues on to get them away. "I am Sir Omiak Mondarik of the Republic, retired General. I will do this with Honor!" He looks to everyone seriously. "Go now, everyone." He nods. "For Firanos." *Firan*

COMBAT: Wesbrek aims and hits Omiak with his iron spear.

COMBAT: Omiak takes a hit to the left calf!

Omiak is looking bad.

Gemma knew she needed to follow orders. And yet, she hesitates, before joining Emil.

Emil calls to Gemma, "Bring the weak one," he calls, speaking of Dal, as he runs out. *Firan*

Hmmm. Hmmm. Pop! Electricity crackles in the air over Ellish.

Emil has left. Veliana follows Emil. Veliana has left.

COMBAT: Myrzbon aims and hits Omiak with his iron long sword. COMBAT: Omiak takes a hit to the belly! Omiak is looking seriously bad.

Gemma runs for Dalinuel and grabs him by the arm, trying to pull him towards the door.

Dalinuel has no strength at all. "Drink..." he gasps as he lies, limply. *Firan*

COMBAT: Wesbrek aims and punishes Omiak with his iron spear. COMBAT: Omiak takes a hit to the chest! Omiak is looking seriously bad.

<OOC: ROLL: Edgar> Gemma rolls her Muscle + Agility at difficulty 8 and gets 4 successes.

Anorna opens the Pink Small Leather Pouch.

Gemma hauls Dalinuel out of the temple, giving one last glance to Omiak.

Outside of the Temple

Iona starts chanting under her breath, "Uf, bring your winds. Bring your cleansing. Bring your power and let this place be made pure. Stop what they started. Hear your servant. Insulted and bloodied at their hands. Grant your power to stop what they've begun." *Firan*

Gemma comes out of the Temple dragging Dalinuel by the arm, throwing him to the ground. "We have to go back, we ----- let Omiak die in there," she says, panting heavily. *Firan*

Iona closes her eyes for a minute as if in prayer.

Thalos looks skeptically back at the tower, "Towers can't be alive or dead. They are just buildings..." He says unconvincingly, "But that blood is real, I suggest we go, and I mean now."

Veliana shakes her head and says, "There's no way to help him. He gave his orders." She says in a fierce voice. She looks to Iona and hollers at her, "You heard the Prince! Don't being harm to the tower!" She shakes her head, "We need to get the hell out of here." *Firan*

Iona speaks through clentched teeth. "I don't want to harm it. I want it to STOP." *Firan*

Emil nods, "Follow, Centurion," he directs Gemma. "Let us follow our orders, and pray that ... like you paid earlier, this payment is not in vain." *Firan*

"I don't care about orders right now, we HAVE GOT TO HELP OMIAK!" Gemma was screaming at the top of her lungs, and glares at Emil, "We can't LEAVE him there!"

Veliana glares at Iona and says, "MOVE! Let's go!" She shouts at the woman and says, "You can say you want it to stop all you want! Making it stop, may bring harm to it!" She is busy with Iona, she leaves Emil to deal with Gemma. "WE NEED TO GET OUT OF THIS AREA! GET AWAY FROM THE TOWER!" *Firan*

Gemma pleads with Emil, begging him to the point of near-hysterics, "He has no weapon. I do. Let me die for him to live if need be. I can take all of them out!" *Firan*

Anorna steps out of the temple and looks above her, "We move." She says, knowing that what generates inside is sure to come from the outside.

As Anorna exits, Emil turns to Thalos, "Let's get the feck out of here," he tells the man, waving the former slave to join the group or be left behind. "Bring the sentry, centurion, he is under your control, and you can not fight on holy ground."

Iona laughs to herself. "I wonder if it would turn and strike them. Hahahha." She cackles a little to herself as she motions for Lawya to rejoin her. "Let's go. I need a healer to see this." *Firan*

Thalos looks back at the building one last second, and then says, "The best idea I have heard all day." Thalos takes off at a dead run.

Thalos, a Firan heads north.

From somewhere nearby, you hear a male voice shout, "NOW CENTURION!" Gemma runs off toward the north after the others, dragging Dalineul with her.

Ellish: Ramartha Estate

Dalinuel gasps..."Please..." But he has no voice and no strength. *Firan*

Veliana thrusts her hands in her backpack and pulls out a bottle. She hands it off to Dalinuel while in a dead run. "DRINK THIS!" She shouts at him. She hopes it will quench his thirst. *Firan*

WWWwwwwwoooosh.......ftz. ftz. Over Ellish, there's a spark in the air, then the night goes still and silent, and the tower is dead once more.

Iona closes her eyes for a minute as if in prayer.

Dalinuel sucks at the bottle greedily. The tea runs down his chin and down his robes as well...

Iona lets out a prayer as she stops her flight, turning to look at the tower they fled from so violently.

Gemma turns back towards the temple, going pale as the Temple dies. "He is dead. He -- dead, and I could have saved him," she whispers under her breath, and then turns to Emil, anger in her eyes, "I could have SAVED him." *Firan*

Veliana turns back to Gemma and screams at her, "YOU HAD ORDERS!" She shakes her head at the woman, "You don't get to blame anyone! Not in a time like this!" She looks to Emil and back to Gemma, "There is nothing .. any of us could of done. You would have died with him if you stayed. Be grateful he saved your life and stop blaming others!" *Firan*

Anorna is not happy, and she is tired of hearing Gemma. She keeps walking forward, pausing once to look up at the spark. She shakes her head and scowls, furious with the group.

"We do not know his fate, he entered the temple in peace, he may still yet leave the temple in peace, YOU, however, centurion, drew in a temple!" hisses Emil. "Something /you/ should know far better than to do." He waves the man forward, to take them back to the walls.

Thalos darts and duck. When the tower begins warm up, he looks worriedly over his shoulder and stumbles right into a Shami Priest. The Shami priest begins to protest, but he strangle him to keep him quite. It looks as though it is clear for the party to keep going north.

"I blame no one but myself," Gemma says bluntly to Veliana, and shakes her head. She follows the rest of them onward, but she keeps looking back towards the Temple.

Iona wipes the blood from her cheek, doing more to smear it than clean it. She says nothing about the priests' violent death and moves onward, away from this dark place.

Ellish: Vasaloo Shops

Anorna says now, "You --- stupid Ticanee." She finally just admits and starts to stalk back towards the barracks. *Firan*

Thalos, a Firan comes in from the south.

Iona stares, one-eyed, at her bloody fingertips. "My blood, on Obala's floor," she says, echoing her earlier words. "Uf forgive me..." *Firan*

COMBAT: Thalos gets into position to attack Jhaltep.

Dalinuel is dragged back to the Republic perimeter and collapses in a heap. He continues drain every drop from the bottle.

Mike drops the Jhaltep, Shami Priest.

COMBAT: Thalos punishes Jhaltep hard with his iron short sword.

COMBAT: Jhaltep takes a hit to the hips!

Jhaltep, Shami Priest is looking not great.

Iona looked at you, but you didn't notice.

Veliana shakes her head and says, "You can blame /no one/, not even yourself." She narrows her eyes and looks to Gemma with fire in those grey eyes. "Those who need healing, come with me. We need to get to the medical area and I will tend to you." She takes a deep breath and says, "I don't know who needs to report back to the Prince General, but I have to get the wounded back. She tilts her head towards Dalinuel and says, "What is the -matter- with you?!" She can't seem to fathom why the man is so thirsty. *Firan*

Iona wonders why Dal is draining a bottle of tea but isn't too concerned. Her fragile Uffian mind is a bit fecked up but at least Veliana put it into words.

COMBAT: Thalos punishes Jhaltep hard with his iron short sword. COMBAT: Jhaltep takes a hit to the chest! Jhaltep, Shami Priest is looking not good.

Gemma halts as they are back on Republic ground, she wasn't sure what was wrong with Dalinuel. "I will report to the Prince General," she whispers softly. *Firan*

Anorna blinks as Thalos tries to kill that poor Priest, who was just standing there. She blurts out, "What...what are you doing? He was just standing ------" *Shamibelian*

Anorna doesn't get this place anymore!

COMBAT: Thalos punishes Jhaltep hard with his iron short sword. COMBAT: Jhaltep takes a hit to the chest! Jhaltep, Shami Priest is looking terrible.

Gemma sighs softly and heads off further into the camp, with Emil in tow.

COMBAT: Thalos hits Jhaltep hard with his iron short sword. COMBAT: Jhaltep takes a hit to the chest! Jhaltep, Shami Priest is looking seriously bad.

Dalinuel has no voice and can't answer. He is not paying attention to anything else going ... just the relief of the liquid in the bottle.

COMBAT: Thalos punishes Jhaltep hard with his iron short sword. COMBAT: Jhaltep takes a hit to the chest! Jhaltep, Shami Priest is looking like he is on his last limb.

Anorna shakes her head and looks back at the tower, "--- would you -- this? Do you want to get zapped?!" She walks towards Thalos, "-------- --- ---- get us all killed!" *Shamibelian*

Firistan comes in from the north.

COMBAT: Thalos aims and attacks Jhaltep with his iron short sword. COMBAT: Jhaltep takes a hit to the left shin! Jhaltep, Shami Priest is looking like he is on his last limb.

Veliana looks to Iona and back to Dalinuel, "I need to get him back as well. Can you please .. help me lift him." She bends down to start to drag Dalinuel up off the ground and says, "Come on, help me, Brother. I can't lift you by myself!" She exclaims as she at least tries to get him to follow her. *Firan*

COMBAT: Thalos attacks Jhaltep hard with his iron short sword. COMBAT: Jhaltep takes a hit to the waist! Jhaltep, Shami Priest is looking like he is going to be crippled for good. Jhaltep, Shami Priest collapses on the ground, becoming motionless.

Thalos spits on the priest, "And that's what you get for trying to tax the Eesanis!"

Kadia comes in from the north.

Anorna blinks and stares at Thalos increduously. "..." There are no words to speak. She just looks down at the Priest and back at Thalos.

Iona offers her hand to Dalinuel. "Come on, let's get some rest..." She has blood on her hands but it doesn't matter to her. It's her own. *Firan*

COMBAT: Thalos, a Firan stops fighting.

Iona's got a bandage around her eye that's soaked in blood.

Kadia sort of not so sneakily sneaks into the area when she notices the commotion of people heading this way. Spotting Iona she blinks a little, "Are you ok?" *Firan*

You are thirsty, but you can't swallow anything. Whatever you swallow comes back up. And you are violently angry.

Veliana flickers her gaze back to Thalos, "Taht was ridiculous." She just blinks and says, "I need to get these people back to the medical area, Kadia. I need your help." She looks to the younger woman and says, "I need someone who can lift him. He's not cooperating with me. He's too heavy to move on my own, and she's wounded!" She motions to Iona. *Firan*

Iona mutters, "Almost took my eye... My blood, on Obala's floor," she says again, as shock sets in. *Firan*

Dalinuel retches, the mint tea he's been drink coming back up. He sucks at the bottle desperately and can't get any of the tea down and keep it down. He flings the bottle away and screams wordlessly, eyes engrages with fear and frustration.

Dalinuel smashes the bottle: Mint Tea 2 and keeps the contents. Talikos comes in from the north. Dalinuel spills the 6 mint tea all over the floor.

Iona comments to Thalos. "Take his boots, I'm sure someone can use them." She's a bit daffy right now. "He won't anymore." She jumps at Dalinuel's rage and backs away from him, startled. Lawya takes off from her pack and finds a high perch to sit. *Firan*

Thalos cracks a grin, "Are you sure you don't want a little piece of him? Remove one of his horns? Maybe, pierce a nipple?" He leers at Veliana, "We could talk about it over a barrel of...well, something I am certain."

From somewhere nearby, you hear a female voice shout, "Commander Rinzik needs to be detained. Captain Karana requests aid. He is not to be harmed in any way. He seems to be in the Mess Hall too!"

Kadia gives Iona a worried look, "You should have a drink." She responds, then hurries over to help Veliana carry whoever it is that needs help carrying. *Firan*

From somewhere nearby, you hear a female voice shout, "I bet a Hydran guy or two would be best. Yeah."

Veliana blinks at Dalinuel and watches him. Now .. she is totally pissed off and irritated, "GET ON YOUR FEET!" She tugs on him and tries her best to get him to stand the hell up. *Firan*

Iona just goes HUH? This night gets weirder and weirder. She wipes more blood off her face and mutters about needing a fresh bandage already.

Talikos comes crunching in from the north. He lifts a hand to wave to Dalinuel.. but then shuts up, trying to get a handle on what's going on, first.

Anorna doesn't know hat to do with the priest. She shakes her head and starts to wander off towards the north. She looks rather weak suddenly and stumbles where she walks. She looks as though she will be back, "-- is not ----- to just beat people -- --- -------- -------" *Shamibelian*

Anorna heads north.

Dalinuel starts to swing at Veliana, his eyes mad with rage. He tries to gasp out some words, an insult maybe but he has no voice, and the breath just rasps out of him.

Iona shouts, "We need someone to restrain Brother Dalinuel! In the Shops!"

Veliana shrieks at Dalinuel and says, "YOU will not attack me! NOT when I am helping you!" She tries her best to block his swing! *Firan*

Veliana shouts, ""YOU will not attack me! NOT when I am helping you!""

Iona lets out a loud cry. "Dear Uf! Drik's madness is affecting them?! We have to tie him up til it passes!" *Firan*

Jesika is here to help restrain! She looks buff. "What's up? Who needs what now and why?" *Firan*

Talikos erfs. "Dalinuel? Hey, DAL! What's gotten into you?" he shouts, incredulous, at the normally mild-mannered priest. He picks up the pace to close the distance. *Firan*

Squeak. "Oh Unot.." Kadia murmurs, then just sort of..throws herself on the taller priest. Maybe that'll work. Or slow him down. All ninety some odd pounds of her.

Iona's got a bloody bandage over her eye. "He's... gone crazy. Started asking for a drink and now he's just mad!" *Firan*

Veliana is looking somewhat under par.

Veliana point to Dalinuel and says, "This man has been drinking blood of a Shami off the floor and now he dares attack me. I am not even armed with a weapon!" She oofs when he hits her and glares him down, "Feckin' stop that!" She yells at him. She doesn't look as if she will be swinging back on him though. *Firan*

Dalinuel doesn't look like orders or sweet reason will appeal to him. His eyes are mad, and hid mouth works but no words come out, just gasping breaths. He swings wildly, striking Veliana.

"Hey! No hitting a chick!" Jesika grumbles.

Thalos looks back at the priest and then at Dalinuel, "I am sorry. My bad. I didn't realize she was your girl. She was flirting with me, you should probably beat her and show her who is boss. Now, where is that wine?" Thalos motions to a few people to drag the priests unconscious body back to the south. He goes back to minding his own business.

Iona has an idea. She rushes off, leaving her bird high on the building to watch.

Talikos has his hands up in the whoa! whoa! Dude, it's totally not worth it. Dude! Dude? DUDE! way that men do in bar fights when they're trying to cool things down.

Lawya, the buzzard has arrived. Iona heads north.

"Hey! Don't be drinking goat blood and attacking people! Calm down!" Jesika would engage but cannot triple engage, so she just talks at him.

Veliana didn't really notice Thalos' words until just then and blinks, "Are you kidding?!" She blinks when she is hit again and yells, "SOMEONE get him the hell off me!" *Firan*

Dalinuel grabs Veliana's arm and tries to pull it to his mouth, His teeth snap at it and he gasps...

"They do say that Obala is responsible for madness," Ion observes from his position atop a barrel, where...apparently...he's been comfortably installed, an island of order in this whirlpool of...mayhem. Or whatever it is. "And that tower was doing its own hissy thing earlier." With a sigh he settles for stringing his bow, reaching for his backpack in order to make certain his arrows are in place.

Lawya, the buzzard starts eyeing that Shami priest as it's dragged away. Mmmmm.

Veliana flips out, "You can't bite me! You damn animal!" She swings at him and starts flying her fists wildly at the man. "KNOCK HIM OUT!" *Firan*

<OOC> Ladonna says, "Could someone throw me a aset or a page or something?"

Talikos 's eyes bug as Dalininuel starts /gnashing teeth/. "Drik's balls," he mutters, at least managing to step between the foaming priest and his target. *Firan*

Ladonna wanders into the area and ... stares with large eyes at the scene. "W.. what's going... On..." The young woman reaches for her bow and draws it, but keeps the bow knocked to the ground. *Firan*

Someone else gets between Dal and Vel. Dali scratches at the breastplate and tries to pull it toward his mouth

"He was drinking goat blood, says the woman he's attacking! And now he's ... er, attacking!" explains Jesika to Ladonna and Ion.

Kadia's trying to help! But, she's no good with her hands. She reaches for her tamir stick, handy dandy rat thwacker.

Talikos blinks as bows start getting readied. "Hey, don't shoot him! He's my sponsoree!" A stupid reason, but it seems to make sense to the young man. "Knock him out or something.." He keeps ducking and weaving. Duck! Weave! Distract! *Firan*

Veliana swings around Talikos and hits Dalinuel squarely where it hurts. She is PISSED OFF. She lost her quarterstaff to shami priests. She is having a bad day!

"But he... HEY! DID YOU GET BIT BY A DOG?!?" shouts Jesika at Dalinuel.

"Is that goat dead?" Ladonna asks, only half caring. She keeps the arrows aimed at Dalinuel and prepares to draw.

Jesika shouts, "Did you get bit by a dog?!?"

Iona comes in from the north. Iona has arrived.

COMBAT: Jesika tries to engage Dalinuel, but fails very badly. Dalinuel is also engaged with Talikos and Veliana.

Kadia's trying! But there's to many people in the way.

"One -might- wonder," Ion observes, oh so mildly, "why he was drinking Shamibelian blood in the first place!" But here he pauses, turning his gaze upon Ladonna. "He could be plagued. Should we shoot him?"

Dalinuel can't speak. His voice comes in pants and while he seems to be trying to form words nothing comes out. He keeps snatching at limbs.

Iona returns, holding a bowl of fresh water. Water blessed by Zin's priest.

"Dal! You're thirsty? Here. I have water." She motions for everyone to back away as she brings the bowl forward. "There's others sick, no. It's a mind madness! Don't hurt him." *Firan*

Ladonna glances at Ion and lifts one shoulder, "I'd kill the Shamibelian first, knock the man out." *Firan*

Jesika puts a hand on her hip, and then says, "Take him down and we'll carry him to the healer. Do NOT kill him." *Firan*

Iona has the bowl in her hands, offering it to Dalinuel as she moves slowly forward. It's the same motions one approaches a wounded animal with.

Veliana yells over her shoulder, trying to duck through any swings her way and says, "Don't kill the bastard, just knock him out. He's a danger to the camp! My gods. Just knock him out." *Firan*

COMBAT: Veliana misses Dalinuel with her fists.

Kadia's nice..but..yeah. Knock him out! She'll apologize later.

Jesika drops the Republic Issued Backpack.

Jesika throws her backpack aside and keeps hitting at him.

Jesika drinks 1 wolfsbend whiskey.

"Well, that -particular- Shamibelian wasn't involved in this," Ion explains to Ladonna, with a faint smile. "Mister Gang-boss fellow knocked out the priest for taxing him. It's really just Brother Dalinuel over there."

Thalos hrms and looks at the brawl. His eye goes to the crowd, "Two cows, that bloke with the slutty girl takes two or more out." Thalos makes his way around the market taking various wagers and bets. He seems to be enjoying himself, while looking back to the fight.

Jesika also knocks a whiskey back and throws those aside too.

Talikos dodges a few blows, and takes a few, that for the most part just ring out on his armor. "Ack, who's shooting!" he calls out, as an arrow hisses by his head. Then he ducks another swing from Dalinuel. *Firan*

Lawya is till eyeing that unmoving Shami. Mmmm, shami.

(Some random dog emit here)

Veliana better not be the slutty girl they are talking about. Though really, she's too preoccupied with defending herself to hear the man's insults. She swings and misses!

Laurelia comes in from the north.

Iona says "Stop! You're going to kill him!" She passionately yells at them all, holding the bowl of water. "Let me try this, please!" *Firan*

Ladonna murmurs something rather indelicate as her arrow soars ... over Dalinuel's head. "There's too many people," she tells Ion. "Get your staff or whatever." She also glances at the Shamibelian. "Seriously, we should kill him." *Firan*

Dalinuel doesn't find the dog interesting. Surrounded by tormentors, he just tries to get his hands on one. Even that stupid F****ing messenger yelling at him.

Jesika nods to Ladonna. "Kill him then? Slice his throat." *Firan*

Kadia's certainly not. "Sister..he wont stop hitting us long enough for you to get that in him." She points out. *Firan*

Jesika says "Or was he the one Dalinuel was drinkign the blood of?" *Firan*

Ladonna nods in Jesika's direction. "I believe the orders from the General were to kill Shamibelians on sight - why that one is alive is beyond me." *Firan*

Iona tosses the bowl onto his face as she draws nearer, doubting the blessed Zinnin water will help but having to try.

Talikos pants, dodging again. At least he's keeping most of Dal's attention locked. "Why.. was he drinking /blood/?" he manages to grunt out, before letting out an 'oop' as a flailing hand swings past his ear. *Firan*

Veliana looks up and tilts her head upwards, "Someone get me a quarterstaff! For crying out loud, fists are not going to knock him out." She seems lost without her staff and seems to be frustrated to be throwing blind punches. *Firan*

COMBAT: Iona aims her water at Dalinuel! Dalinuel is also engaged with Ladonna, Jesika, Kadia, Talikos, and Veliana.

Iona tries to explain, "He was insanely thirsty for some reason. And now he's just insane." *Firan*

"There's already two pugilies, and one staff, and then another staff with you there," Ion points out to Ladonna, with a wrinkle of his nose. "No way I'm getting in there. Physically impossible."

Kadia pauses to free hers, then tosses it to Veliana.

Ladonna is very good at wielding her staff, so she moves into position while discussing the Shamibelian. With a decent source of strength, she jerks the staff up under Dalinuel's chin.

Kadia drops the Into The Darkened Wilderness Carved Wooden Quarterstaff.

"Hey hey he's one of us. We just wanna knock him out. Don't fecking kill him," growls Jesika. "We'll tie him up and take him to the healers."

...twice.

Talikos , butterfly, floats like. Bee, stings like. etc.

Dalinuel continues to try and grab at people. One of his arms hangs limply now and he spins frantically, trying to get his one hand on any of them. But not the dog.

Iona says "Someone else is affected like this. One of the Hydrans. I saw them trying to restrain him in the mess." *Firan*

Laurelia strides into an area full of yet more people who are fighting. Apparently she has had enough of this. "What on Soli's blessed back is going on!" her tone ringing out in it's irritation. Since there are people fighting she's obviously looking to those that aren't so distracted to answer her. "The healers would not be a good idea at the present moment, they are busy subduing Commander Rinzik." *Firan*

Veliana catches the staff and deftly moves it in her hands. Just like her teacher, Kelarik taught her, she channels his spirit when he starts to swing at her. She tries her best to get at him. She's gonna knock him the heck out.

Iona's water goes flying even as she tries to explain what is going on. It splashes him in the face cleanly.

Iona's got a bloody bandage over her eye and blood on her hands as she turns to Laurelia. "He's... just as mad. Something is wrong." *Firan*

Kadia finally manages to knock him good in the head. Whack. Yay for short people.

Ion is in a perfect position to explain things, seeing as how he's standing off to the side, being useless. "Brother Dalinuel's gone mad," he informs Laurelia, with a pleasant sort of smile. "It is hoped that this condition is only temporary, and so they are subduing him." *Firan*

Jesika attempts to pick up Unconscious Dalinuel but fails. He is just too heavy for Jesika to lift under the circumstances.

Talikos raises his fists again to defend against another swing and then.. BONK! He leans forward, hands on his knees, panting.

Oribanna has arrived. Lawya, the buzzard has arrived.

Lawya, the buzzard hops down off the building and waddles over towards the Shami, mindful of the gangers around him.

Jesika grumbles. "My backpack's too heavy. Here, someone carry it for me and I'll get that Dalinuel guy. Let's get him to the healers." *Firan*

COMBAT: Iona stops fighting.

And then, just because he's got a flair for sensationalism, Ion adds that Dalinuel has, in fact, been drinking Shamibelian blood.

Jesika opens the a Between Flame and Shadows Backpack.

Ladonna throws a few more very skilled shots at Dalinuel, backing away when the job is done. She turns around to the Shamibelian. "Seriously, we should kill it or get it the frekin' crap out of here. If it comes to..." *Firan*

Jesika puts Abstract Art Painting of Jala's Mama into a Between Flame and Shadows Backpack.

Talikos looks doubtful. "I've never seen /anything/ like that. They should tie him to a bed or something." *Firan*

Jesika closes the a Between Flame and Shadows Backpack.

Laurelia looks at least slightly less irritated when she is informed of the bare facts. "I should hope so, though you might refrain from the healers until you are sure Commander Rinzik has been taken care of. It was rather crowded in there and he was swinging at a good many people." *Firan*

Veliana stops, out of breath and looks ov
