LORD LOTUK OSHTA

Lord Lotuk Oshta, born Lotuk Dawn, was the son of Ticanee shamans Lord Radik Dawn and Lady Lotis Dawn. He followed Srenna, the Firan goddess of battle, and joined the Republic Air Force as a pilot.

Lord Lotuk took his duties seriously, but also enjoyed his fun. He gained a reputation for enjoying the Meses, a reputation that did not fade when it was announced in 36 A.U. that he would marry Lady Taleena Oshta and join the royal Ticanee family.

The wedding was to bring old Ticanee blood into the line and some whisper that the two had no genuine affection for one another. Lord Lotuk's death, however, erased many of those doubts and gave birth to a story perhaps greater than his life.

During the war campaign of 38 A.U., Lord Lotuk was killed at the front. The Firans were forced to retreat from the battlefield where he fell, and his corpse fell into Shamibelian hands. Firan negotiators returned from the front without Lord Lotuk's body, to the dismay of both his wife and Clan Leader Taria.

Shamibelians deny the souls of the dead final rest and leave them to rot. Knowing this, Lady Taleena declared that she would lead a party to the Front to bring Lord Lotuk's body back and give it proper funeral rites. Initially, the Republic opposed the expedition as risky and fool-hardy; Lady Taleena did not even know where on the front the body was, much less how she would get to it. But Lady Taleena perserved and she, along with Kendra Coyote, Okatik Swiftpaw, Parosh Dilarik, Zaridos Elianik, and Tagali Shadina made a daring trip to the front, risking life and limb for her husband's corpse. While they were unable to bring Lord Lotuk's body home, they were able to give it funeral rites on the field along with the bodies of other fallen Firans. Lord Lotuk's soul at last had its final rest; the tale goes on to this day with a folk-lore quality to it, the noble and grieving wife defying authority and risking all for her husband's soul.

Lord Lotuk is survived by his now re-married wife, Lady Taleena Corinala, and his son Teodor.
