Overview

Orphaned at the tender age of 8, Lyssa spent her childhood shuffled around from family member to family member, finally settling in with her Aunt Eumelia, a herbologist. It was there that her interest in healing and medicine began and soon after, she was apprenticed to a midwife.

When she was 15, Lyssa moved to from Zutran to Anarinuell, in hopes of meeting up with her cousin. She never found him. Later, Lyssa would discover that he had backtracked to Arinzi. As a single woman with no family in the big city, Lyssa focused on keeping herself safe and employed until she married Piarres two years later.

• Eirene, Lyssa's mother, died in childbirth. With her, no less.

Marriage

Lyssa married Piarres Rianavalu on December 7th, 38 A.U. They had been betrothed for no less than two years before the marriage occured, due to emergencies and ill planning on both of their ends. However, the marriage happened, suddenly but surely.
