Background
Once the most prominent middle-class Hydran family in the entire clan, the Mageeran family was expected to be welcomed into the nobility. But the shamibelian invasion changed all of that. Half of the Mageerans were taken as slaves and some of them are still presumed to be held by the shamibelians in Ellish. The other half fought alongside Elianos to drive the shamibelians back. But when they returned to their lands, they found entire vineyards burned to the ground by the enemy. As reward for their service the Ranivor gave them a plot of land in the city of Anarinuell proper along with an old mansion. Some considered it a paltry reward for a family that lost so much.
The family is led by Ameer Mageeran, a hard-working no-nonsense man driven by ambition. Ameer is married to Alee, and they have several children, Ameera, Aleesha, Dicci, Rosalee, Mera and Belameer. The family also includes Ameer's two sons by his late wife, Dorienne: Abderus, a soldier and solid citizen, and Mateen, a scholar and all-around rogue who lost his life tragically, leaving behind his wife, Leena and son Zateen. Ameer also has a daughter named Hattie who has married into the N'Gadanik family, and is now a noblewoman.

Eejus' Branch
Eejus and his daughter from his former marriage became Mageerans upon his wedding to the widowed Leena.
