In case you didn't already know, mailing lists are groups that you can join. Any time someone sends email to the list address, everyone on that list gets a copy of the message. Firan hosts a couple mailing lists (one for players), and we mention some other lists that you might like.

Firan-Related Lists

The Firan Yahoo! eGroup is an interactive web site and mailing list that all Firan players are encouraged to join. The mailing list is open for discussion of anything of interest to Firan players, and we also email out reminders for all the role-playing events on the game's @calendar. Some fun polls, a chat system, and a URL list round out a fun way to take part in the greater Firan community.

firan-combat is the list to join to discuss issues with the combat code, especially as Adam continues to work on porting it into hardcode.

firan-logs is a list that only staff can join. However, if you're a player, you can email your logs to firan-logs@yahoogroups.com and someone on the staff will review the log and award you experience points (XP).

firan-admin is a list that only staff can join. (The old firan-admin@legendary.org archives are still at firan-admin, but the list is inactive.)

firan-events is a list that players can join. This group lists all the of the game emits that usually bost on IC announcments board in game. There is also a function where players can enable the events list to post in a text message form to their cell phones. This is most helpful for people during large 'res-day' events and such.
