MELLI EMISTA

Melli Emista lived the life of an eminently proper Cockatrice woman. She dutifully married a man sight unseen and bore him five children. Unfortunately, her family was something less than proper. Scandals piled up one after another. Melli's son Coran was murdered after convincing many he was insane. Her husband Jalato became notorious for profiteering. Her son Ekenik disgraced himself. The Emista name became so loathed that her two daughters, Shaska and Anitra, chose to distance theirselves from it and began their own family. However, through it all, Melli carried her head high, quietly living a respectable life in the same house in Sarkaran where she had lived for years and fussing over her grandchildren.

When the Shamibelians attacked in 24 A.U., Melli faced up to the attack with her usual quiet strength, finding a hidey hole in her barn and stocking it well. Unfortunately, a Shamibelian griffon crashed into that very barn, crushing her. She died on March 9, 24 A.U., at the age of 46.
