Background
The Mink family was, before the Great War that largely crushed the Ticanee Clan, renowned as skillful horsemen of the plains. They are of the Snake Tribe, whose lands were situated just south of the much larger Wolf Tribe that now make up the majority of the surviving people.
While many Mink warriors died in battle against the Shamibelian invaders, after the conflict had ended the family settled in the city of Anarinuell, determined to show the Firan people the secrets of horse-riding and animal husbandry.
Though they have only been able to breed a small number of horses for the surrounding peoples, the Mink family has risen to comparative prominence within the Ticanee clan, and its numbers have expanded considerably since the tragedy of the Great War and its ensuing Exodus.
