The N'Gato Family

Most Firans do not think twice about the origin of the name N'Gato, as this noble family is established and famed in most of the clans. However, a member of this family is likely to know that N'Gato was not always a Firan name. This family traces its origins back to the ancient civilization of the Summans (see 'news summans' on the game!) -- a people that most Firans have long since forgotten about since the Summans were forced into surrender and then assimilated into Firan culture. This is not to say that the N'Gato does not consider themselves to be completely Firan to the core, but rather, they hold with pride their distinct heritage. Most of them believe that if the Royal House of the Hydra is to die out, that they are the natural successors to the throne -- not through blood, but through political right. As is usual for their clan, however, they are not showy about their wealth, and prefer a spartan, steni-pinching, existence.

Family members include Gadiste (d), his son, Rodellos, his brother and his wife, Katarus and Osiana, and their children, Rasha, Katriana and Kassia, as well as several adopted children who have their own house (the Kenirugriks). Rodellos is married to the Cockatrice noblewoman Yolette, the widow of the late Lord Izzen Didoron. They have eight children together, their sons Rodiste, Firistan, Kael, Osirus, Zutrik, and Galinos, and their daughters Arika and Daliana. While Razesh is considered to be a child of Rodellos because this was the parent he had always known, this child was in fact, a child from the late Lord Izzen Didoron. There only child to come of their marriage.

Gadiste's second son, Pavan(d), was disgraced and, consequently, disowned after a series of events, mostly involving his choosing to wed an Eagle woman, Lady Lasanna Mondarik, as his prize after winning a Spring Festival penthalon. He was banished from both the N'Gato house and the Hydra clan in September, 21 A.U.

Rasha was married to Lord Banik Istabannos in the summer of 25 A.U, but was unbound from him when he once again was turned into a statue. She was remarried to Lord Orestes Rissik, becoming a member of that family and eventually a member of the Chimera Clan. When the Rissik family was denobled in the aftermath of the Antonian Apostasy of 40 A.U., Rasha lost her nobility and her husband.

Gadiste's wife, Lady Aristria, died in the summer of 26 A.U., while giving birth to her third son with Gadiste, Gadrus.
