NAWAR VERBER

Nawar Verber was born a member of the Bear clan, in the city of Garusani.He was a well-renowned painter, but also known to be a dreamer. He was politically outspoken, sometimes drawing the ire of the people for his constant speechmaking. He was also known to be eccentric and had strange quirks, like not wishing to eat much around other people for fear of poisoning. He had aided the Republic with missions for Prince Solgarik in the past. He was also an Initiate in the Eeshan Order. He was sponsored by most of the Ista Aldrik family, and indeed lived at the Ista Aldrik estate for a while.

It was his relationship with the Ista Aldriks that eventually lead to his death. Lord Argus Firgalik of the Gold Dragon Clan was accusing the Ista Aldriks of setting up Lady Lucretia in the White Dove by using Mes Faythe, who looked much like her, as a decoy. Nawar involved himself politically, and was temporarily suspended from his post in the Eeshan order during this chaotic time. He'd went to the market to purchase some arrows for his bow, and was purportedly seen loading it. Mes Faythe, thinking the man was coming after her, was ushered to the Gold Dragon district where he proceeded to follow. He was later arrested and held for six months before his trial.

Nawar was sentenced to a duel to the death with Atreides Keniwik for his crimes against the Gold Dragon Clan, with the belief that if the Gods thought him innocent he would be spared his life. His duel took place on Fri Jan 26, in the year 23 A.U., where the two proceeded to fight each other with swords. The event was a public spectacle which brought people from varying clans, though none more notably than the Bear. Not being a swordsman, he was easily slain by the Gold Dragon warrior.
