NELABAM: Mother of the Hills

This quiet, former Cockatrice city is situated in the hills south of the Ani river. Never large in population, it is a mining town, and very defensive of it's traditional clan values. One of the things Nelabam used to be famous for were its matchmakers, and parents from all over the Cockatrice clan came to help match their children up with one another in the ancient ways with the help of Nelabam's matchmakers.

Nelabam was conquered by the Bear Clan in late 26 A.U., spoils of the war that was caused when Lady Proxy Ibania Istabannos declared herself Cockatrice Clan Leader. All Cockatrice citizens were offered Bear citizenship, otherwise they had to vacate the city and leave for Unotran.

Some of these citizens became what were known as 'Red Bears,' and they were quite antagonistic against their new leadership. Several acts of violence were committed, including the soul-murder of Lady Pamella Shadina, and the conflict culminated in a surprise raid against the opposition lead by Princess Akiva.
