Things have been stirring up again in the Old City. Like the canal when it's had a body newly planted. The heat of the summer is in full swing and the stench of the canals makes it smell just like home. Or rather what the Old City smells like in summer. You know.

Geloe Firona, now Manager of the Opening Gambit has already run her Grand Opening, so to speak. Princes attended as well as a few other notable nobles. Not to mention that both Geloe and her sister were dressed up proper like for it all.

Some toddler was found in the Nook the other day. After eyeing her for awhile Karish and Niobe figured out it was Angada's kid. So of course Niobe carted the kid home and tossed her in with the rest. Until Angada comes by to pick her up.

Susia from what rumours say is trying to take over the Barnacle. After an abortive attempt to purchase it from Niobe and Geloe. This as most could figure out does not sit well at all with them. Though for the moment they're leaving things as they are. Are they up to something?

Seems like Susia's in league with Genaros and that mouthy Vicklo these days. Most don't seem to think much of it but who knows they could suprise everyone!

Speaking of Vicklo... folks ain't seen him for a good number of days, weeks even now. Messages send to him returned as the messengers can't locate him in his usual haunts. Some wonder if he finally didn't mouth off to the wrong person or maybe he up and holed up for whatever reason.

Apparently Niobe really loves taking in urchins as there's another one at her house these days. Kids name is Adele from what people are saying but Niobe for the most part refers to her as Kid.

Happenings In the City:

That Acting High Priestess of Uf isn't Acting anymore. She's been demoted even though she's really sorry about selling off those Uf birds. Honestly though, piss off your Goddess getting demoted seems like a pretty easy thing going. Nevermind that she might get you in the end.

Prince Lucas is in the midst of selecting his Champion. No Old City folks made it to that last spot. Not that we honestly care... But still, some Mer Bashar and Mer Bukatio are competing for the 'honour'.

Apparently that famous ex-whore, because we all know what courtesan really means, likes dancing on tables. Her and the Nanny for her daughter were out at some Tavern or something causing all sorts of jaws to drop no doubt.
