OLD CITY NEWS 3/19/2008

Left-eye and Three-Tooth were star whores back in the day. That was before the Republic was even created though! This is their story:

"Hey, Left-eye, did ya hear that Shade gots herself a new boyfriend?"

Left-eye, which actually has her patch over the left-eye, looks to the side, "What huh? She does? What she done with that gladiator of hers! I wanna a piece of him, I'd even give it up for free..." the seventy year old woman tugs on what should not be tugged!

"Yeah. 'cause Sol is back! Ya know Sol? He's like OLD like us! I'm sure I had him as a customer a few times, could tell ya things I shouldn't about him... but yeah. He's like a sculptor, a playwright, he does things with pots. And something called phi... philo... soooo....phy? Filosofy! I mean, if that ain't a boyfriend for Shade, don't know who is? Them two probably get along as well as two peas in a tea-pot!" Three-tooth nudges Left-eye in the ribs. "Get it. In a tea-pot? 'cause Shade likes tea?" Creepy laughter begins.

Left-eye eventually finishes with the creepy laughter. "I hear Furen and Yathel gots themselves into another fight! And Yathel won. Uh. And this is new news, 'cause this time Furen barely was able to even touch Yathel. As usual, though, them two were arguin' about somethin'!

"Have ya heard that the Dove hos have been saved? Uh. Zutiva. And uh. The others that went missin?"

Three-tooth nods! "Yeah. We're gonna give freebies to all those involved. Like Genaros. Asalan. Furen. Niobe even! And uh. Others. We're gonnna give them a good old time, just like in the ol'days. I bet Gilin is throwin' 'em a huge party in appreciation!"

Left-eye shakes her head. "Naw. What the feck do they get anything for? I mean, I heard they didn't even have ta fight anyone. Friggin' Tinga just got knocked in the back of the head by someone and was dragged and tied up. Like..uh.. no one bothered to even protect their chubby butts. What else have ya heard?"

"Shade had a kid! Another girl. She named her Deneve. Not as cool of a name as Vance, but Asalan is probably pleased with it all the same. Wanna take bets how long it'll take before Shade gets all big again? Uh. What else! Oh! And I hears that Vixen got herself kicked out of the Dove and Old City. You'd never guess what she did...! She went ahead and called the guards 'cause some other ho smacked her around a bit. How dumb-ass is that? Didn't know that Alora had a temper on her, though, I heard she was the one that smacked Vixen around."

Left-eye, who has no teeth, grins. "Serves her right! Speaking of kids. Vinoria, that wench! She gots another one popped out. It looks like Keeshan! Ha. No, not really, it looks nothin' like Keeshan. Or her for that matter. She's a tiny girl with green eyes, brown hair, and tan skin and she called her Jayne."
