ORTENSE EMAGALISH

Ortense Emagalish, was born November 9th, 31 B.U. eldest of three daughters. Ortense took on the duties of the eldest female and matriarch after her mother's death during her youth. She married young to a soldier named Nivar, who died in battle during an early push against the Shamibelians at the opening of the war. They had two children, Nortenso and Elvetes. Ortense did not have long to grieve, as she and her large family were captured by the Shamibelians as slaves. A tragic ordeal that left many relatives of her generation including her sister dead during the year that followed. While the Shamibelians were pushed back after only a year, the family was left shattered with numerous orphans.

Ortense was well into middle age when her family arrived in Anarinuell. Running an orphanage for many years, Ortense was proud of it even in the years after she retired for a quieter life, she was well known in the various temples visiting and bringing treats for the many youths. Despite outliving her husband and both her sons, Ortense maintained a warm and loving air.

There is no question that Ortense loved children, and that she showed that love in many ways including, healing, midwifery, and teaching.

At the end of her life, Ortense was well thought of, but often grumbled about. Ortense was clearly an eccentric with her constant companion being a pet monkey, Sharma. She died peacefully in the first months of 36 A.U, with a funeral on Febuary 14th 36 A.U.
