PAMELLA SHADINA

Pamella Actis, later Shadina, was born a middle class member of the Bear Clan who would later ascend to nobility when the Shadina house was awarded that privilege. Daughter of the incredibly proper Endeera, Pamella was poised to head much the same lifestyle. She never had a hair out of place, always had her hairpins in, and had an affinity for tea, tradition, and etiquette. That said, it was known that before she was ennobled (and perhaps even after), Pamella enjoyed the occasional hunt. She also worked closely with the Ista Aldrik family to keep the Bear Clan's finances in proper working order. Mes or Lady, Pamella was a respected and productive member of the clan.

Shortly before the Actis family was ennobled and became the Shadina family, Pamella married Mer Tagali Dilarik, an arranged marriage that sported a formal, but polite, relationship. When the Actis house was given nobility, so too was Tagali and the pair became Lord Tagali and Lady Pamella. But all was not entirely well -- Pamella's sisters both died untimely deaths and left in her wounds that would never entirely heal. This left her with but one sibling, her brother Arnax.

And then Pamella's final tragedy struck. Nelabam, formerly a Cockatrice city, was in Bear possession and a group that wished to see the city returned to the Cockatrice kidnapped Lady Pamella and Lord Anaxotran, Pamella's father. Lord Anaxotran had wanted to visit the family land in Nelabam and took his lone remaining daughter with him. The pair were abducted and a note sent to Anarinuell demanding that the city be returned to the Cockatrice. When it was not, Anaxotran was sent home in pieces in a trunk. Pamella was also murdered -- but only her head was returned. It sat for many years in the temple of Unot, the clergy was unwilling to see it burned for fear of Soul Deathing the Lady. Eventually, it was moved to quiet the angry masses.
