Overview
Paulina is rail thin and unusually graceful. Surveying everything around her with a wide-eyed curiosity, she seems to be fascinated by anything that glitters, and is quite frequently seen staring off into space. Her neutral expression makes her look terribly angry, even if she is truly a beauty. She does smile often however, and more often than not such smiles turn to smirks at the lightest of amusements.
Paulina sees the world through rose colored glasses, when it suits her. She is very black and white about things in that if she likes something, she LOVES it, and were she to find something distasteful, she loathes it. This is true in almost everything she does, with only few exceptions. Her moods are often subject to quick changes, going from pouty to happy to crying in an extremely short period of time, were it to suit her. To describe her best in one word it would be intense. All of her emotion seems to sap her mental strength somewhat, as she's extremely forgetful as well. She tolerates no bad talk of her mother, except when socially she has to, and respects the social order of things in terms of nobility and how they should be treated. She loves horses more than anything else, vowing to own at least two when she gets to an age where it would be possible. Between growing up an Eagle, and having to live in Arinzi for a time that she always considered miserable, Paulina not only hates Arinzi, but it has spawned into hating anything at all to do with the Hydrans - including members of their clan. Since becoming an adult, Paulina has developed a love for theatrics. While she isn't sure she has the memory to be in any festival plays, she does like to act out roles while on the job. Paulina remembers her mother quite clearly. Her mother was a courtesan, a special kind of whore from what she's been able to figure out. People arn't allowed to talk about her mother, nor say her name because of crimes she committed. Paulina misses her mother desperately, having loved her while she was alive despite her profession. As Paulina has grown older, Yasmina has become even more idolized in her eyes and she seeks (quietly) to be like the courtesan, to achieve that rank in society, and to not be killed in the end.

Paulina's father, as the daughter of a courtesan, was not known to her. She does however have an excellent idea of who he is, or was.
Siblings
- Rabianos Rabiashik
Rabianos is Paulina's oldest brother. Paulina always seemed to admire her brother as an older sibling but she felt bad for him too. They both decided they didn't so much like living at the Iberik's though Paulina was far less vocal about it. As well when they left, they both went to the Old City. One might think this would have bonded the two together. However, when her profession was chosen as a whore Rabianos was less than impressed. They didn't really see each other except when she would try to get him to bully their brothers into stopping how they annoy her. Rabianos has gotten into a fair amount of trouble, having been charged with two counts of attempted murder against nobles of the Teranzik family and also of Lord Judanus, and found guilty of all, as well as a slew of other charges he has been removed from the city been placed at the front for two years (ending in Aug 38). He's back now, Gods know what he's into at this point, but he seems to be relatively quiet in the OC (or maybe not; Paulina lives in the walls now, hard to tell). When she has some time, she really needs to sit down with her older brother. Talk to him. Find that bond they used to have.
- Kamar Rabiashik
Ashokamar Quentinus Istarabi was Kamar's birth name... quite a mouthful. He is rumored to be the only child that came from the union of Yasmina and her one and only husband. He's the second oldest, younger than Rabi and older than Pauli. Kamar and Paulina don't really see eye to eye anymore since she's a whore and he's a part of the Old City. In fact, he seems not to want to do anything but bash her name. It is almost sad because if she thinks really hard, she can remember them getting along as children. Things change when you become an adult though. He's living in the OC with Rabianos -- but Paulina would rather let this sleeping dog lie than pester him.
- Ternesa Rabiashik
Ternesa is Paulina's younger sister, her first younger sister. She lived at the Iberik estate with the rest of them but unlike the three elder siblings, she was still a child when the mess with Yaffros happened and was shipped off to live with Paulos and Alyosha in mommy's old house. Once Ternesa became an adult (and a proper "lady's maid"), she went right back to the Iberiks. Nesa worked there for a while and then moved out to (and this irks Paulina right to her core) get -married-. To an Old City thug. Oh, if only Paulina had been the Head of House... Ternesa wound up having a kid, then another, and is working for the Iberiks again. Things were quiet for a while then everything exploded, as things always do. She was thrown out of the Iberik house for various acts of dumbness (she was sleeping in Lord Anzo's bedroom! Paulina didn't expect Ternesa, of all people, to act that way!). Lady Deelia was always there for Ternesa, even when Yaffros was reprimanding her. Paulina intends to talk to Yaffros and see just what happened. After that, she burned down an apartment building, ate foxglove poison, and a slew of other bizarre things -- Torianos decreed that she may not remain wed to Nestrini and Ternesa is a Rabiashik again, pregnant and unwed. A mess, sure, but Pauli is positive that it can all be fixed and made sunny again!
- Zellonos Rabiashik
Paulina's younger brother who has gone through his ceremony and works mainly as a lawyer in civil cases. He's very straight arrow, and as such, does not at all approve of his sister's vocation. Though he sometimes seems to sympathize with the fact that she seems happy with what she does, more often he tries to impose his very clear idea of what the 'right thing' to do is upon his sister. He's been seen around the 'Dove, presumably checking up on Paulina. Last Paulina heard, from Ladonna no less, Zellonos had moved out to the Old City. This rather shocks Pauli and she can't for the life of her figure out why. Before she had a chance to confront him, Zellonos moved back to the walls, where he really belonged in the first place. He'd trying to control the waller half of their family, much the same way Paulina tries to control the OC half. Pity he's so full of "whores are evil" and suches.
- Ladonna Rabiashik
Ladonna is the baby of the family. She's ... well, she's a little dumb. But that's okay! Paulina figures if she's dumb, Ladonna will just be her doll and not protest or anything stupid like that. When Paulina worked at the Dove, Ladonna would escape from Alyosha and come visit Paulina and in order to cajole the girl to her side, Pauli would give her treats and let her get all dressed up in silks and stuff. There's a sort of a bond between the eldest girl and her youngest sibling that the others don't quite have. Ladonna hasn't gone and cast her out like the boys and she didn't marry a thug like Ternesa. Sure, she's done stupid stuff, but, well, she's Ladonna! And she'll always come to Paulina when she's in trouble. Paulina likes that and she's sure to be extra gentle to the family's baby. She lived with the Dilariks for a while (that Bad Whore's family), which just made Paulina -steam-. The next thing Paulina heard, Ladonna had up and married too. Another wedding where no one was invited -- didn't even hear about it until AFTER the damned ceremony. She married some man named Solan Harror, a Chimeran, and moved out there. Changed clans. Changed families. Paulina hasn't seen her, not really, but there's an invitation to visit the villa and see if Ladonna's alright. There's something a little sad about her now.
