Player Testimonials
From FiranMUX
We asked our players what they like about the game, aside from the big things like players, staff, and code. Here are some of their answers (edited to hide identity):
"Immersion. There is a decent amount of immersion which makes the game interesting!"
"The cultural/religious bits. I like the culture/religious aspects because there are layers and layers of theme. There's the quick summaries you get when you type news (clan) and news (god), but the actual intricasies of what an actual clan person does, or how someone actually worships vary, are matters for debate and make for a lot of RP and a lot of explorational RP at that. Oh, and the derring do. Always the derring do."
"Psychological Character Development."
"The adrenaline rush."
"The sheer amount of backstory the world has. It's not just a loosely based character/plot idea, but an entire WORLD."
"Shenanigans."
"I like the ability to have really intense scenes when I feel like it, or really silly scenes when I don't. Some games are one or the other. You can have both here, in the same day if you feel like it. I also have to say that if, say, you only have two hours to get in a little RP before you sleep, 99% of the time you can DO that with a little creativity, have a great scene, maybe meet someone new, and then go pass out."
"Definitely the emits (which reinforce the sense of "fullness" of the entire world. Plus they're often written in a witty and amusing way.)"
"And as a more personal reason: To keep myself fluent in this weird language you use in this game!"
"I like the vastness of the game, as well as the number of things one can do. By vastness, I meant the size of the grid."
"Playing a doddery old cow and STILL getting RP when I want it."
"I really like the connectedness in the game... every action you do can have broader effects than just yourself... after all, the seven degrees of separation really show up here... you know someone who knows someone who knows someone..."
