LORD PORFIRIO DERATO

Born in 3 B.U. in Unotran, Porfirio Derato was born as the oldest son of a Cockatrice family. Enslaved by the Shamibelians when he was still a baby, he grew up in captivity until he was about 5 years old. Upon his family's return to Unotran after the Great War, much had changed and so the Deratos saw to it that their children would move away, into good marriages. Thus it was that Porfirio came to Anarinuell, though he never spoke much of his first wife, who later died. In 20 A.U. Porfirio won an event sponsored by the ruling Triumvirate at the time, the Survivor Challenge, which earned him a noble title, making him Lord Porfirio Derato. He later also won a pentathlon at the Spring Festival, and claimed the marriage prize, to marry his second wife, Timandra Mondarik.

Lord Porfirio served many duties. A military man of his clan, yet also a Firanosian Priest. A game warden of the Republic, finding his peace in nature. A member of the Republic's First Division. The latter would be his downfall, as he was caught up in a very uncharacteristic ambition and hunger for power. In an attempt to control the First Division, he butted heads with Lord Eneas Iberik and was later found guilty of having hired assassins to kill the rival lord, but also Commander Pentheus and General Firuell. For this crime, and the greatest disaster the First Division ever had to face in public, with officers trying to kill each other, both of the officers plotting murder were punished to death by hanging. Lord Eneas Iberik and Lord Porfirio Derato were executed in September 29 A.U. Lord Porfirio is survived by his wife Lady Timandra, and their two children, Tamia and Firios.
