RP Hooks for Commoners

Start a scene in the market, complain about the price of something, go up to other commoners there and try and enlist their agreement that the market is price gouging.

If not in the military, find a soldier and ask them what life is like in the military, this is doable both by men and women and can be done for both Republic and Clan militaries.

Seek out your sponsor (see news sponsor) and ask for advice on something (family problems and work are good). Bring them a small gift when you do to show your appreciation. If a noble ever does something bad to you, be sure to speak to your sponsor about it.

If you don't have a sponsor, post on your clan board that you're looking for one. Seek out your head of house and ask if they know of a sponsor for you, if you have a noble mentioned in your relationships favourably (@sheet/relationships), then send them a message asking if they can spare the time to advise you on a small matter and ask them if they know of anyone willing to sponsor you.

Page pilots and ask if they're willing to roleplay with you at the national aviary (or clan aviary). Then go to the aviary and be admiring of the griffons and pilots. Pilots are held in some awe by many Firan citizens. Many men seek to emulate them, many women idolize them. Ask if you can see their griffon but remember a griffon is a large and scary creature for many Firans.

Servants - seek out Middle Class or nobles of your household and ask them if they need anything, if you can help them in any way. Talk to servants in other noble households to see whether they have it better than you, but be careful not to complain too much or you'll be seen as being disrespectful. Gossip with the other servants about what happens in your household - so long as you're not giving away secrets that can come back to bite you.

Find anyone who can make use of your services and try to sell yourself to them; midwives seeking out expectant mothers; armorers their clan military; weavers to temples, middle-class households and nobles. Roleplay simply about your wears, talk about what they would like or expect, see if you can get a special commission. If you're a hunter, miner or laborer you can try and find people who will buy your goods directly rather than take it to the market.

If you see a noble in public, be respectful and ask if they need any assistance, you might only get a two-minute scene out of it, but it could turn into a life-long relationship (albeit a very lop-sided one). Alternatively, if it is IC to do so, treat them appallingly and see what happens!

Let off steam and get drunk once in a while (assuming it's on-sheet for you to do so) you can roleplay letting your hair down a little or let your friends be amused with your roleplay of the hangover afterwards. Firans like to drink; if you're an Eagle you should be doing it regularly.
