Corinalan Homecoming

Lord Captain Judanus Corinala has been discovered by a search party after a patrol gone awry outside of Unotran. The husband to Clan Leader Luna is said to be on his way back home to Anarinuell, somewhat worse for wear. But a more intriguing rumour follows him - one of the Ticanee nobles in the group of rescuers is said to have brought back someone /else/ as well!

Ministerial Madness

Prince High General Rislan Elianik, the Deputy Viceroy, has announced several new Ministerial appointments at the Republic level. They are as follows: Timandra - Minister of Knowledge, Nyla - Minister of Health and Safety, Marsalos - Lord of Games, Mahir - Assistant Lord of Games, Firistan - Minister of Land, Daemio - Assistant Minister of Land, Orsatos - Minister of Education, Judanarius - Minister of Charities, Rasha - Minister of Families, Empyrean - Minister of Economics, Rianna - Palace District Overseer, and Alessandro - Republic Sharanir.

Keniwick Predicament

Since Sir Prime Minister Commander Alessandro Keniwik has been appointed to the position of Republic Sharanir thanks to his years of loyal service, a predicament has arisen. There are rumours that because he is Gold Dragon Sharanir already, he will either have to renounce his clan title, or refuse the honour of the Republic position. Gossips wonder which he will choose!

Ticanee Turbulence

In reaction to Octavian's speech about his love for Cecilia, Clan Leader Taria Oshta declared that the guards that allowed him to escape the mansion were to be executed. Word has it that a large gathering of Ticanee and other Republic citizens watched the two men get strung up and hanged, and Octavian was forced to cut them down and arrange their bodies for funeral thereafter as punishment for his own transgressions. A little girl was made an orphan after the execution, and the Oshta, seeing this, made arrangements that the child would be cared for.

Snowcrash

Mes Bringana Lapis, elderly Griffon perfumer, is said to have gotten lost in the woods in search of pine needles for her craft, but she got herself very hurt somehow, and laid in the snow for what might have been hours before search parties found her. She was hurried to the Harror manor where she was visited by friends and family, finally passing away due to lung trauma in the evening hours of December 16th, 45 AU. She will be missed.

Masquerade Mania

Word has it that the Ticanee Clan Leader Taria Oshta stormed into Lucretia's masquerade ball, held in Cecilia's honour, just after she had presided over the execution of Octavian's pair of guards. She called out for Cecilia, but the Lady had been called away by her own Clan Leader and so was not there to answer the challenge. Instead, Lady Lucretia herself rose to the occasion and defended the honour of her daughter. The two nearly got into a physical confrontation before Clan Leader Ojitar stormed into the room to break up the madness with typical Gold Dragon manliness.

Seasons Greetings

After a snowman event outside the Young at Heart shop, many people have gathered to look at the creations that came from the event. Though the judging is long over, the snowmen themselves remain, and they are quite fetching, and free to observe.

Shop Czar

Already in action, the newly appointed Palace District Overseer, Lady Captain Minister Rianna Teranzik, has been seen surveying the many shops in the district and taking notes. The word on the street is that if anyone wants to be considered for an empty Republic shop they should contact her and seek an application.

Masterful

Three fine Republic Soldiers have distinguished themselves in their training, and been recognized as Masters in their respective fields. Centurion Sabria has become the first Master Farrier in the Military, Lord Captain Marsalos the first Master Artilleryman, and Centurion Sharin Rissik the second Master Pilot. Huzzah for these soldiers and their exceptional devotion to their training.

Promising Beginnings

Lord Tamorus Teranzik has become an adult after a long-delayed Ceremony of Souls. On the very same day that he became an adult he was declared an Initiate of Zutiv and a Centurion, which is a very good start for a young man with high ambitions!

Real Leadership

At the command of the Lord Viceroy, Prince High General Rislan Elianik has taken over the protection of the Eagle Clan. The Prince has already made a speech proffering a direction for the Eagles (specifically the restoration and expansion of their dominion over the waters, to face the rising threat of Shamibelian navies) and held Open Throne Hours that ran for nearly an entire day as Eagles brought up the many questions upon their minds.

Upcoming Events

Birthday Ox Race

In the Ticanee Grasslands (9.10), Kagi Anirik will be celebrating his thirteenth birthday in style. By racing oxen, of course! Bring your own animal or borrow one of the host's, and fun is guaranteed for all! Proper meses will be expected to watch rather than participate, and bringing gifts for the birthday boy is definitely encouraged! @cal 9696, Sunday March 29th at 9:30pm.

Uffian Meeting

The Temple of Uf is holding a meeting of its clergy to discuss various topics of interest. Priests and initiates should be prepared with reports of their activity, and with ideas for new Temple projects. While Initiates are invited to attend the first half of the meeting, the second half is for priests only. @cal 9665, Monday March 30th at 8:00pm.

Eeshan Resolutions

In honour of the New Year, the Temple of Eesha is holding a unique event. Visitors to the Temple will make New Year's promises and resolutions, and the Eeshans will note down each promise. They will monitor and assist the promiser in living up to his word throughout the following year, to aid in the faithful fulfillment in these promises however they are able. @cal 9701, Thursday April 2nd at 8:00pm.

Teranzik Masquerade

Lady Aria Teranzik has arranged a masquerade ball at her family's estate, and people of proper upbringing are invited to attend with their favourite masks and outfits. @cal 9673, Thursday April 2nd at 9:00pm.

Historian Needed

News filters out from the Republic's Great Library that the Minister of Knowledge is seeking a new Republic Historian. Are you knowledgeable about the great and the mundane in the history of the Republic? Are you passionate about recounting history? Do you believe you cannot know where you are going if you don't first know where you have been? If you answered yes to any of those questions then perhaps you might be what the minister is looking for. Contact Minister of Knowledge Priestess Timandra Rissik if interested.

High Class Lushery

Delegate Bukatio Emagalish is looking for wine and whiskey. The good stuff! Maybe blueberry? He realizes it might not be perfectly proper for hard-working commoners to drink fancy blueberry wine, but he'd like to buy some anyway, for when he has an urge for the extravagant.

In a Pickle

Lord Kael N'Gato is looking for someone who can tell him the origins of pickled fish. And if they can make it without burning it, he'd be interested in that as well. His own cook makes a rather sour version of the dish, and he's certain it can be made to taste better.

Theron Didoron lives in the IstaNydiam mansion, having been entrusted into Nydiam's care despite his family name. At times serious, at times recklessly adventurous, Theron is a character much in need of dynamic relationships! On My Way to the Forum

Palace District Weekend is on again next week, starting on Friday April 3rd at noon, and concluding on Sunday, April 5th, at 11:59pm game time. This means that unless you have a very compelling reason to do otherwise, you are expected to be in the Palace District while you're roleplaying! Bank Claim

Did you know that you do not have to @request if you need a bank account transferred from a dead person to you? Instead, you will need to speak to a Clan Leader or Proxy, as there is a command to allow them to 'claim' these assets and then 'permit' them to you. Check out 'help @bank/claim' and 'help @bank/permit'.
