DEATH OF GENERAL RISS

After many years of faithful service to clan and Republic, Lord General Riss fell ill with the water sickness. He lingered in a semi-comatose state at the Chimera Compound for several years, before the Rissik family had him moved to Emran, hoping that the surroundings he spent so much of his life in would spur a recovery. Clan Leader Akinita, Riss' daughter, went to Emran to stay by her convalescing father's side as well, wanting to be with him.

Alas, all their hopes came to naught; after many years of lingering, uncomprehending of his surroundings, death was almost a blessing for the once-strong man when it finally came on 2 November of 21 A.U. Akinita returned to Anarinuell with the body of her father, and Elianos' trusted general was given a grand state funeral; for many of the younger generation of Anarinuell, it was one of their only introductions to the man who helped Elianos carve the Chimera clan out of wilderness. The Rissiks and Elianiks spoke passionately to mourners of what sort of man the General had once been, in hopes that everyone would remember him that way.
