Rissik Family

This family was considered to be 'new money' by other noble families and they were frequently the butt of jokes. However, since Akinita (d) was a Clan Leader, the Firans had no other choice but to afford her noble status, and she was well loved by the populace. Other members of this family included Lord Riss (d) (who did not liked to be called Lord), Akinita's father. Lord Garen (who also did not like to be called Lord), who was Akinita's husband, and their children, Lady Eliana Rissik, Lord Gavin Rissik, and Sabinus Rissik. Eliana married then-Prince Vahlgellan, and, with Vahlgellan's appointment as Ranivor of the Republican Alliance, was Queen. Gavin married Lady Gellina Ista Aldrik who, against the wishes of the Queen, took the Rissik name although she remained a Bear. They have two children, Akiva and Sirio.
Two cousins from Emran, Kristover and Orestes had also been taken into the Rissik household. Kristover married Lady Nazeera Ovinik in 21 A.U. and they had a daughter, Lady Delrisa Rissik, who died in the Shamibelian siege of the city in 24 A.U. In 26 A.U. Lady Nazeera adopted an orphan, Delrosa, who died in the 38 A.U. war. In 28 A.U. Lady Nazeera gave birth to a son, Kristos, who was followed by two daughters: Zahirana, born in 30 A.U., and Kezra, born in 36 A.U.. In 27 A.U. Lord Orestes married Lady Rasha N'Gato. She joined the Rissik family and they have two daughters, Arissa and Belica, as well as an adopted son Coristus.
In 23 A.U., the spring festival marriage prize went to Lady Yasha Iberik who chose Sabinus as her husband, becoming Lady Yasha Rissik only a handful of days before his wedding to Lady Petrina would have happened. Despite that rocky start, Yasha earned the affection of her new clan, as both the wife to the clan proxy, and a proxy for the clan in her own right. Yasha and Sabinus had two children, Sharin and Sabiros.
On January 10th, 25 A.U., Akinita and Sabinus were executed for treason. No one saw Lord Sabinus' body however, and there was some confusion to the actual status of the young Lord at the time. After the trouble in 25 A.U. Lord Gavin was traded to the Bear Clan to provide solidarity to the Republic and smooth over clan feelings from the various recent provocations. Not much longer after that, Lord Gavin and Lady Gellina divorced, returning Lord Gavin to the Rissik Family and the Chimera Clan. Both their children, Akiva and Sirio were kept within the Bear Clan and raised as Ista Aldriks. Gellina died after the floods of 37-28 A.U.
Lady Eliana, though no longer a Rissik, has been effectively banished to Caldera City with her husband Prince Vahlgellan. Their children Savaren, Rislan, and Avahlon are being raised as Elianiks under the care of the Viceroy, Lord Taleo Teranzik.
In 37 A.U., Gavin married Lady Timandra Derato of the Cockatrice Clan when that clan felt it had too many noble families. Timandra and her two children, Tamia and Firios, subsequently joined the Rissik Family. A year later Timandra gave birth to a son, Hedarius.
The entire Rissik family lost their noble status in the aftermath of the Antonian Apostasy. Yasha and Kristover were directly involved and executed, as was Orestes. Given the family's apparent history of treason, then-Prince Torianos and his mother, then-Clan Leader Inaya, made the decision that the family was not worthy of nobility. They were stripped of title, kicked out of their home, and given commoner status, thus having come full-circle to become a common family again.
Mes Timandra was appointed the head of the family, and the family's children were taken in as wards by the Elikista Family. Sharin and Tamia married each other a year late. They have a daughter, Tiasha. In 39 A.U., Lord Proxy Firistan N'Gato tried to reclaim Rasha and Belica as Hydra citizens and members of the N'Gato Family, but Clan Leader Torianos prevented this. During the 41 A.U. Fall Festival Rasha was given a marriage prize and chose Lord Zerasmus Didoron, thereby regaining her nobility as she joined his clan and family. Her children remain Rissiks however.
Mer Sabiros was found dead in 41 A.U. A few months later his murderer, a Mer Pontius was captured and executed for his crimes.
Mer Sharin nowadays is the only person in Anarinuell who has been selected to ride a Giant Eagle. His companion bird is female and was one of the three birds born a few years ago in the Chimera's Roost.
