FiranMUX is a non-earth early iron age world with a strong Greco-Roman feel to it complete with a unique mythology, detailed history, and unique form of government. The Firan people live in a forest environment, so in addition to politics, war and daily life, there is also an element of 'Robin Hood' thrown into the mix. The game is set in the Firan capital city of Anarinuell (a much larger settlement than any earth city of the same technological era would have had), populated by all the different lands and cultures (and even some foreigners!).
When you log into your character and join the game, you will find yourself in the Welcome Room. Familiarize yourself with the policies and perhaps perhaps wander through the rooms that give a basic tutorial about some of our code; Firan is a highly customized game, with coded systems in place to back up role play. Once you go In Character (IC) for the first time, you'll find yourself somewhere in Anarinuell, probably in your character's home.
You'll want to explore the news files by typing 'news' when you get online -- of course you'll also want to explore the city! Additionally, you should type @sheet/secrets and @sheet/notes to see what sort of secrets your character carries. Further, if you need assistance, please don't hesitate to ask a question on the Help channel. We're here to help you!
You'll receive the password to your character in a separate email. You should change your password to something you'll remember as soon as you log in. We look forward to seeing you and good luck in the game!

There is a Yahoo announcements group for Firan maintained by the staff, where we often send out game updates (especially if the game is unreachable or down for some reason). To join you may either request at the website or send an email to Firan-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
INVISION BOARD -- http://firan.legendary.org/forums/
Firan has a web forum for discussion among players and staff. The web forum has a number of useful discussion areas for learning about game matters, making suggestions, sharing game history, and just chatting with your fellow players. In order to use this board, you must register there -- please do NOT use your character's name as your account name -- and be approved by an administrator (usually it takes less than 48 hours). We encourage you to take advantage of this important player resource.
