- Famous ex-courtasan Anicola and her nanny Docilla arrive in Anarinuell causing a bluster of activity. Her chariot weaves its way precariously through the street until they arrive at her home where they bustle to load trunks of clothes into her mansion.
- Anarinuell experienced a small monkey infestation in which on Rinzik Kenirugrik earns the name "The Monkey Boy" for scaling the bath house and catching a renegade monkey. There is also a monkey showdown with some customers in the Soaring Eagle Tavern. Not to be outdone, one monkey sneaks into the Gold Dragon Mansion and almost makes off with a gold necklace; it is rumored that Lord Yosef might have slain the would-be thief.
- High Priest Javier Jessamyn is rumored to have last been seen walking through the Chimera Gate. Word on the street is that he has left on a secret mission.
- Brother Rasmus Montigo and Mer Orsatos debate at the Great Library. To make it interesting, Brother Rasmus takes a position against Monotheism and Mer Orasatos takes the position for Monotheism.
- Princess Selene returns to Anarinuell and the Palace causing an uproar of bashed down doors and strange gifts.
- A rumor spreads throughout the city of Anarinuell that any child who develops dimples is blessed with noble blood. Some women begin drawing dimples on their children's faces using cosmetics to get in on the fad.
- A few large hounds are found wandering Anarinuell looking for a good home and making hounds the commoner's dog.
- Pilgrims in Agadin notice thick smoke rising from a forest near Ellish and believe they see griffons flying about. Is it a simple forest fire or does Ellish have a new foe?
