Overview
In his youth, he was known as the Golden Prince. Women of all social classes desired him and swoon over him, while the men wished to befriend him or offered vassalage. Unfortunately many have forgotten those days, but he still has them as good memories, just like he still remembers when the very proper Clan Leader Fidelia was a tomboy lady that blushed at the sight of him and the 'Ice Princess' Zeysani a cheerful girl that liked fishing trips.
The people loved him and the nobility of the different clans did as well. However, his grandparents, the Ranivor Elianos and Queen Sabine, saw him as reckless and irresponsible. Many were the times when his grandmother lectured him about his behavior with the ladies. At first, he took the infamous 'Bet of the Princes', but he somewhat got bored of it. There is no thrill, true satisfaction of charming, seducing and gaining affections of women that can’t deny him. His grandmother warned him and she was right, in years to come he would be known for it and today he still has the reputation of liking ladies and having had many wives when in truth the record is in the number of engagements.
One of those engagements was with Lady Fidelia, but his grandmother quickly put an end to it and soon thereafter he married Lady Lucretia Firgalik with whom he had the cutest of Princesses, Tia. Unfortunately they were forced to divorce when she was allegedly found pregnant and nude in the White Dove. Whispers said the Ista Aldriks were behind it in order to allow Fidelia to marry Sadin.
Sadin made everything to assure that she was well taken care of, but that didn't stop him from getting engaged with a few other ladies, the most noticeable one being Lady Aldrissa.
Many thought that Sadin was going to be the next Ranivor but his grandfather didn’t seem to trust any of the three princes to rule the Republic by themselves so he appointed all three, marking the beginning of the Triumvirate. Though it only took a year for his uncle Prince Vahgellan to replace it by the New Republic and step in as Ranivor.
At this time, it was also known by some that the Clan Leader Bannos had added Sadin’s name to the will and that the Clan Proxy Lady Bashona Istabannos was seen as the ruling voice of her clan. Eventually the will would be read to the people and their union would likely help her transition from Proxy to Clan Leader, and their child the direct heir to the throne.
What no one expected was the sudden arrival of Lord Aldrikos, Bashona’s first husband, who had been considered dead. The marriage was annulled, Adan was stripped from his royal tittle and the status of his legitimacy required a resolution.
The 24 A.U is the year he would rather forget.
The only positive event that year was to once again have Lucretia as his wife and to be able to acknowledged Lucas as his son and prince of the republic. But as he gained a son, he lost another. Investigations determined that Adan had been kidnapped and sacrificed to Drik by Sayam that was only caught after his attempt to kill Lord Taleo Teranzik. During the terrible Air Raids of 24 A.U. several friends and trusted soldiers were killed and many captured, inclusive lady Bashona.
In that same year the Alliance War reached its peak and in the beginning of the year of 25 A.U his best friend, Lord Sabinus was executed. When Sadin rose to object to all that had happened and to protest on the direction that the Clans and Republic was going, he was banned.
After five years, he returned to Anarinuell to discover that all he had done for the sake of the people and Republic had been forgotten, and a new generation looked at him with preconceived ideas of who he was. Fortunately, the success of the Battle of Anish and of the mission to destroy Mount Doom boosted his popularity and credibility.
In 32 A.U he was entrusted with the role of Viceroy. Due series unpredicted of circumstances, once the test term expired the clans decided to once again give the title to Lord Taleo.
When the Blood Dragons rose to protest against the Gold Dragon ruling and loss of Sicrlut, the viceroy appointed him for Ambassador from the Republic to the Blood Dragons. Though he was believed to be acting more in his own interest or that of the Blood Dragons than for the good of the Republic, Sadin still defends that everything he did was to cut the losses. And that though he was asked to become the clan leader of the new clan, he never truly accepted, he stalled in order to control the situation and prevent a larger bloodbath from happening.
In the company of his alleged wife, Sadin left to Caldera City where he remained until recently, having returned married to Princess Lucretia. It has caused a huge scandal that is known as the Trial of the Century.

Family Life
Parents
Princess Selene Elianik is known for many things, some even call her crazy behind her back, but for Sadin she is who always stood with him and even helped to smooth things with his grandmother Queen Sabine that would often lecture him.
People still have difficulties believing that god Elik is Sadin's father, and wonder when the god visits his mortal wife and children, however they will remain wondering. Though sometimes his presence in his children' lives is more obvious, as many do remember for example the ‘ring of many smells’ that Sadin had no issues on saying to have been a gift from his father.
Siblings
Inaya is not as fragile and soft-hearted as many believe her to be and Sadin knows it. After all, he was once banned by his own sister that at the same time tried to look merciful. But she is his younger sister and she did welcome him back. He just can’t stay mad at her. He cares for her.
Elene is so much younger than Sadin doesn't even want to think about it. When she was born people protested and made ridiculous accusations against Selene having a child out of wedlock, but their father made them shut up with a little display of his power.
Marriage
Lucretia is the love of his life, though no one will ever hear him say it. Yet, it is obvious; why else would he keep insisting on their ‘divorce/not divorced/still married dance’. But it wasn’t always like that.
He considered himself as the type of man that would never settle down, since he liked women, had fun and after awhile he would get bored and look for new ones. His grandmother, Queen Sabine, and mother were severely annoyed by that and decided that he was not the right man to marry Lady Fidelia but he still had to marry someone. Lucretia seemed like a good choice. She was good to look at and being a gold dragon she would likely know to close her eyes to his extra-marital activities but as he got to know her he found out that she wasn’t a typical GDW. Loud, sparkly, squeaky and inventive are just a few words to describe her and that made him wonder in what the heck he was getting himself into! It was when they had to apart due to the White Dove incident that he knew that he didn’t really want that to happen and the 'dance' begun. Sometimes she might be a bit too much, but he likes that she is unique, her eccentricities make it impossible to get bored and life is definitely better with her than without her. But he also grows older and tired, and he hopes that the Trial of the Century was the last time they did their ‘dance’.
Bashona was unofficially his second wife. They married about a year after her husband, lord Aldrikos, was presumed to be dead. They had a son, Adan, and then Aldrikos returned alive. The Religious Council decided that they were never legally wed so the kid was a bastard. The situation was left in standby, and then closed when Adan was presumed dead.
Yasha claimed him as a festival marriage prize in the year 34 A.U. His sister Inaya seemed a lot happier with it than he was, he just didn't like being claimed as prize but they got along well enough. She could have warned him that Chimera had a crush on her, but it was an entertaining time. They had one child, their daughter Nalene. He decided to ask for the divorce when Leyla and him went to Scirlut.
Leyla is easy on the eye and Lucretia's sister, but that wasn't the reason to why he divorced Yasha and allegedly married to her. It all begun when they went to Scirlut, they were supposed to be the mediators between gold dragons and blood dragons. To gain their trust and to try to keep things under control, he agreed to marry her. Apparently that was also what they needed to make him the Blood Dragon Clan leader. But just like he never actually accepted the medallion he also didn’t marry her. After the civil war she feared for her life at Jalil’s hands so he decided that it was best to allow people to believe that they were married, which meant that she was seen as an Eliniak princess instead of a Firgalik lady. They decided to go Caldera City where suspicious attempts on her life would be less likely to happen.
Children
Tia was his little princess and so alike her mother. She was without doubt of his children the one Sadin spent more time with, and she also demanded it. No matter what people say or think, he was truly upset when he was forced to miss her wedding and he would never done anything to put her life at risk. However, Tia doesn't seem to understand that and has decided to ignore his existence.
Lucas was born as being the son of Lucretia with lord Nydiam, but it was more than obvious that Sadin was his real father. After the whole whorehouse incident, and other minor details, were forgotten they announced that they hadn’t properly divorced so Lucretia was still his wife and Lucas his son.
Adan was at first acknowledged as his son with Lady Bashona. However, when Lord Aldrikos returned from the dead, the Religious Council decreed that they were never legally wed, and that Adan was a bastard. In 24 A.U, before the situation could be properly addressed, Adan disappeared and was assumed to be dead by a drikkist hand, Sayam. Then one day a young man arrived to the city claiming to be his son, and though he could see some resemblances, Sadin had doubts about the claim's veracity, so he did nothing. It was the Clan Leader Nydiam IstaNydiam that recognized him as a member of the IstaBannos line. And at one point Sadin considered acknowledging him as his son but since Adan seemed to be against him, he simply changed his mind.
Argin was born just a few years before Sadin was banned, so he was away for most of his childhood. Argin managed to get in a series of troubles in his youth, and to add to that he would often portray a bad temper so people didn’t seem to like him much. It is Nydiam’s fault, really, after all Lucretia did say that Nydiam was a big influence during his son's growth. Nowadays, Argin seems to be seen with more likable eyes and if he keeps out of trouble he might even make it to Ranivor.
Nalene is his youngest daughter, from his marriage with Lady Yasha. She is being raised at the Palace and though Sadin has had little to near no contact with her, he requested to have the Rissik and Iberik influences controlled.
Cecilia wasn’t a stranger to him but he only truly got to know her when she went with Lucretia to Caldera City. He was impressed with her strong presence, but not too surprised; after all she is his daughter. He tried to officially recognize her as his but she refused, claiming to be Nydiam's daughter. Yet, regardless of what everybody may think, if asked he will say that she is an Elianik. She seems to not like him much but sometimes he has the impression that she has a soft spot for him.
Elyas was conceived in Caldera when Lucretia went to see him. Lucretia went into labor in the middle of the Trial of the Century and had to excuse herself to give birth. He is beyond any doubt a prince of the republic. His strong name invokes Elianos' and Elik's name, so it is almost certain that he is destined to great things.
Accomplishments
Brawling princes
The popular brawls between princes that many like to watch begun with him and his uncles, prince Vahlgallen and prince Solgarik.
Dual-wielded Swords
The swords are one of his greatest passions and he has an innate talent for them.
There are many swordsmen and perhaps one or two seen as legends but Sadin has his own style, which he developed over the years and to each he is known for. Also, unlike many other great warriors, Sadin is willing to share this passion with others. Many of the soldiers that were his subordinates had the honor of being trained by him. Some of them even became friends, like lord Sabinus.
Freedom Network
When the Religious Council dissolved the marriage to Bashona, he disappeared for nearly a year. He was at Ellish in that time, under false pretenses, forming a network to help slaves escape, pretending to be a slave as well so as to save others.
Ranivor Rescue
In January, 24 A.U, Sadin successfully commanded the 1st division in the difficult task of saving the Ranivor Vahlgellan Elianik from certain death.
Dad's ring
His father was never of the kind to give a lot of gifts but when he does, they are always unique.
Elik gave him a very special ring with a prankster touch. The ring gifts the wearer a different smell everyday; which means that in one day he can smell delicious well and attract all the ladies and the next day stink more than a old city rat.
Battle of Anish and the Fall of Mount Doom
In 30 A.U. Prince Sadin Elianik led the mission to sap the foundations of Mount Doom on a trireme along with Dame Commander Latta Nesharen, Mer Norius Istariniad, Lady Captain Zelva Shadina, Captain Keeli, Centurion Gaddineez Ashlai, and Lord Orestes Rissik. A firecraft was used to open up tunnels and let lake water into the base of Mount Doom, causing a chain reaction which collapsed the entirety of the mountain
Odoni's Judgement
In 31. A.U., Prince Sadin appointed the judge of the controversial trial of Mes Odoni, regarding the death of Lord Halakeye Ista Aldrik, formerly Firgalik. He spared the young healer’s life but sentenced her to be forever a battlefield healer and the best at it.
Some say he was too harsh, some say that he should have sentenced an execution.
A game of Chess
In the year of 32 A.U, the Red Dragon (one of the thirds of the Chimera) decided that he would play against Prince Viceroy Sadin Elianik. And he decided he would require Lady Yasha to play his consort in a live action game of strategy, with human (and dragon) playing pieces. Basically, chess, with the dragon as the king directing one side and Sadin as the king directing the other. It was a long and difficult game, but when Sadin got the opportunity to take the dragon's consort, Yasha, it seemed to take the heart out of him; his moves were quicker and less considered, and it was only a matter of time until Sadin won the game.
Srennian Priesthood
Sadin became a full Priest of Srenna in the year of 32 A.U., and he has a tattoo to prove it.
Trial of the Century
It is a scandal but at the same time an accomplishment. After twenty five years, many children and even grandchildren, they will finally be together. They just need to solve a few problematic details to make sure that it is recognized by all.
The good judgements
Prince High General Sadin Elianik will be responsible for all matters pertaining to events normally adjudicated by the Ranivor within the city walls of Anarinuell, and for those matters that the Republic has interest in in the neighboring city of Sarkaran, including the Spring Festival, working in close cooperation with Clan Proxy Lady Bashona Istabannos in the latter case. He will undertake all legal duties pertaining to court cases and appointment of judges within the city, and be responsible for issues pertaining to the market forces within the city, working with the ministers responsible therefore to ensure a smoothly running capital city of the Republic.
Taleo made the following judgment on Firan time: 11:02:52 AM on Mon Apr 27, in the year 31 A.U.: The Republic is deeply offended by the land-thieving of the Chimera Clan! For too long we have stood by and watched hoping that Clan Leader Inaya might see sense, but clearly she would not even when requested to do the right thing by Acting Queen Lucretia. Upon Prince Sadin's extended . . . vacation. . . to the Caldera City, his own sister claimed all his land and put it in her name, depriving his children and the Republic of its royal descent. As this land is on Republic territory and falls within my duties to preserve the inheritances of the young princes and princesses in my care, it falls well within my jurisdiction to make this judgment. The land formally owned by Prince Sadin is to be returned to him in trust for his children when they come of age.
Scandals
Gold Dragon Clan Leader
Historically speaking, many wars were over medallions and clans and that makes Sadin unlike any other. After all, the Gold Dragon Clan Leader Judano’s dying words were stating his desire to have him as the future clan leader and when the time came he just said a "no thanks" to the medallion.
Searching for Katriva
Clan Leader Bannos sent a hero from each clan to the Oracle on Mount Zhuren to find out where his missing daughter Katriva and retreive her. The party was captured by slavers, and encountered numerous adventures on the way -- culminating in a mystery that they had to solve. The second leg of the quest involved a mysterious and very hushed trip to the Caldera City, with rumors of bizarre dinner parties and meetings with giants... And yet the mystery remained unsolved and Katriva wasn't found.
Cockatrice Clan Leader
Bannos' will gives his medallion to Sadin if none of his children are alive or around to take it. Though the ruler of the clan ended up being decided through civil war and Sadin never attempted to claim it, which in a way makes it the second time he does a "no thanks" to a medallion.
Mistresses are fun
Indeed, mistresses are fun, now add the fact of being a fortune-teller and a wicked Old City girl, which would make it very frown upon if known, and it triples the fun. Nestanina was a fun mistress.
From Acting Ranivor to Exile
For some reason some still seem to think that he was banished because of the Chimera Medallion but it couldn't be farther from the truth. He was just mad at the situation and tried to act upon it. The Republic as they knew it was at its end and his long term friend Sabinus due to be executed. So yes, he stepped forward and ended up banished by his sister that had just become the clan leader of the Chimera.
To this day, Sadin believes that the Republic was never truly restored and the Firans have now is an illegal dictatorship.
"The my Queen" duel
In the year 32 A.U, Sadin was still ruling as the Prince Viceroy with acting queen Lucretia by his side when the clan leader Nydiam had a jealous fit and decided to challenge him for a duel. Apparently he had the need to defend her honor, or so he said to be the reason for the duel. Sadin never says no to a duel though he didn’t expect to lose like he did.
Blood Dragon Clan Leader
People still question his role during that gold dragon civil war.
And though it is true that he was offered a medallion to form the clan of the Blood Dragon he never actually said yes, however due to the circumstances he was also unable to answer no. There were many unwelcome consequences, such as when those at Anarinuell hastily named him a traitor for being unable to understand that he was trying to do damage control at Scirlut and to do it he needed to have and keep the Blood Dragon’s trust. He even aligned with Lady Leyla to ensure it, though he didn’t expect her to blow it out of proportion... Even if no one believes him, everything he did was in good intentions.
Adan is Drik's son
If they didn't want to hear it, they should have not provoked him, but they did so at the Trial of the Century he ended up saying that Lady Bashona was taken by Drik as his consort and that Adan is their kid.
Judgements to infamous
Pomponia made the following judgment on Firan time: 00:31:50 AM on Sun Mar 11, in the year 23 A.U.: With regard to the ownership of the GlassWorks Tavern, located in the Palace District: Upon due consideration, the Court finds that the verbal agreement between Mes Dianora Lidanik and Prince Sadin Elianik to be hereby dissolved in accordance with the terms of the agreement. Full rights shall revert to Mes Lidanik until such a time as her husband returns to the city to claim ownership to the GlassWorks Tavern. Prince Sadin shall have 30 days from the declaration of this judgement to dispute the Court's decision.
Inaya made the following judgment on Firan time: 03:24:17 PM on Thu Feb 19, in the year 25 A.U.: Sadin, my brother, challenged my rule and fostered a rebellion in the Chimera Clan. He also protested the unity of the Alliance and spoke treasonous words against our allies. Normally, I would punish him with death for this defiance, but because he is my brother and the son of Elik, I am going to spare his life. He is hereby banished to Caldera City. So it is written, so it shall be done.
Inaya made the following judgment on Firan time: 05:42:47 AM on Sun Jul 26, in the year 25 A.U.: As of this day, Princess Lucretia and Prince Sadin Elianik are officially divorced from one another and free to marry again without being bound to one another.
Allies
Sabinus was the best of the Rissik and a good friend. Sadin was the one to teach him to use the sword and they spent great times together, many with women in the mix. Sadin knows that he was just another scapegoat for Alliance War and Firanos' intervention is the proof of his innocence.
