Overview
SAVNI
Savni was once described as the stereotypical grandmother figure, always having tarts or something sugary and delicious baked for the children that she kept close to her. She was fond of giving a 'Savni Name' to the children and it was something that she would call them. It soon became a title of privilege among children to have a 'Savni Name' bestowed upon them.
Early on, Savni was Ticanee Clan Leader Taria Oshta's personal assistant, but later resigned to spend time with her family. Not long after, she took up jewelry-making and became known for some quality pieces. The woman also became renowned for writing several of the most famous Ticanee songs. Among them include For the Brother, which was written in honor of Prince Vahlon, Moon Over Aerval, a Ticanee love making song, and Ticanee Lament, a Ticanee funeral song. Always one to lend a helping hand, Savni used her crafting skills to create things for others who needed them, and without expectation of recompense.
In the remaining days of her life, Savni seemed to find comfort in the Solian Temple, and signed on with the Temple as an initiate. Her friends say that she had not been so happy in a long time, and in fact many saw a glow about her that she didn't seem to have before.
Savni was found dead on a road outside of the city in the late autumn of 38 A.U. She had a gaping spear hole in her cheek and chest and a broken neck, leading many to believe she was murdered. Sent to the totems in late August, she is survived by her husband Quonasi, daughter Harvinia and her family as well as her daughter Zinasi and son Riell. Some say that Savni's soft laughter can still be heard in the ribbits of frogs through the district, as frogs were her special totem.
