Mes Fortuna Senista claims to be the adopted daughter of Lord Chiro and Lady Rena Sennet, a product of the latter's first marriage. Unfortunately, the speed in which the Shamibelians crushed the Griffon clan during the Great War left little records of what truely happened to this family and Fortuna's claim could never be substantiated.
This well-respected commoner woman gathered together all the children she felt might have claim to the Sennet name and adopted them. Together, they recreated the Sennet family, but they were repeatedly denied nobility due to lack of evidence and proof. Asapaia, Brinna, and the siblings Idomeneus and Polydonna were amongst these children.
Their cause was not helped by the scandal that rocked their family when Mes Brinna Sennet, former lady-in-waiting to Princess Eliana Elianik, was discovered to be the mistress of then-Clan Leader Judanarius Corinala. When his wife Lady Eve was murdered, rinna was a prime suspect. She was found guilty and executed in 22 A.U.
The family's numbers were further diminished when Asapaia, a Republic Guard, was killed during the Market Massacre in 33 A.U. She left behind a son, Solas, whom was born in captivity in Ellish and saved when the pair escaped.
In the fall of 34 A.U., Lord Docci Ista Barun escaped from captivity in Ellish with a group of former slaves. He claimed that he had found the remnants of the family and the true heirs to the title -- a claim that was approved by Lady Regent Pia Ista Aldrik, who granted Lady Geesha Sennet, her husband, and her children nobility in 36 A.U. Further research led to Hesperik's ennoblement in 38 A.U., along with his wife and children.
The former Sennets were asked to relinquish their last name and call themselves the Senista family.
Three children were killed in 38 A.U. when a firebomb hit the house that the Senistas lived in, during a Shamibelian raid. Solas, Asapia, and Zatara Senista were among those dead.
In 43 A.U., further scandal plagued the family when its head, Fortuna, was convicted of kidnapping the whores Tinga, Zutiva, and Aurora. It is said that she had only intended to confront Tinga about her profession, which is generally abhorred by the Griffon people, but the argument escalated to the point where Fortuna inflicted physicial harm upon the whore and then felt it necessary to do some 'damage control' and eliminate any witnesses to the event. She was originally sentenced to serve at the Dove, but upon reflection, the judgement was altered so that part of her income would be donated to the establishment.
